When can you turn insights into enlightenment btw?

--[X] [Qi] 3
--[X] Rent Forging Hall -5 merit (+2)
--[X] Hire 2 Outer Disciples for assistance, -8 merit
--[X] Use Extra Treasures to boost smithing(-5 Treasures)
---[X] Combine 5 Blacksmith, 2 Carpentry, 1 Butcher, and 1 Forge into an Enlightenment( Probably some kind of Crafting)

"HAhahaha" Ding laughed to himself as the 2 hired Outer Disciples looked at him from the corner of their eyes. Ding had be chuckling to himself both softly and obnoxiously loudly for hours now. To be honest, he had been practically floating with joy ever since he had finalized his reservation of the Forging Hall, and requested the aid of 2 Outer Disciples. He had assigned the Disciples to help him maintain heat for the forge and the other to help him heat materials for the next tool, while he was busy with another piece.

"Hammer first, without a Hammer, you might as well call yourself a carpenter." Ding recited to himself. Half quoting the first line of the Senor's Inheritance he had found, as took out a piece of Fire's Heart Ruby. The Fire's Heart Ruby is a large ruby with shimmering heat of the molten inferno that birthed it. Producing it's own heat, many blacksmiths would use smaller pieces to light and heat their forges, but this piece was special. It had absorbed a trace of spiritual energy during its birth. While this piece had so little natural energy of its own that only the lowest of cultivators would use it in a weapon or armor, it did conduct spiritual energy rather will for its level.

Ding had spent weeks chipping and carving the Stone into the core of his hammer. He attached a handle of copper to the ruby before inserting it into a filled mold of Silver Steel. The silver was as hard as steel, yet would let the ruby's heat come out so Ding could shape metal with every blow.

Placing it on the side, he moved to his mold for an anvil. This mold had been the single most expensive item Ding had prepared. For on the inside of the mold, he had paid an array master to carve special runes from his inheritance. The runes would allow the anvil to store Spiritual energy from spirit stone to slowly release into anything forged on it.

"Pour the Iron, strike the mold, release the air, and seal the form." Ding chanted as he also set this aside to harden.

Finally, he began to assemble the minor tools of his trade. Tongs made from sinew and bones of fire elemental beasts, carved and assembled, before being heated to merge together into one whole.

Drills, cutting tools, and chisels of all shapes and sizes, made from the metallic bones of golden Oxen, heated for hours and days, before being hammered into shape.

Finally, the hammer and anvil were removed from their molds. The hammer, silver and copper, was grinded and polished to a mirror sheen. The anvil, freed from its confines, sturdy and already sucking in the spiritual energy in the air. Ding gave a test blow with his hammer on the anvil.

*Ting*

A pure note vibrated through the hall.

Ding just nodded, the weight of days of work dimming his tired smile, but he was not done. All his tools need grips, and the strips of leather, carefully tanned over the last few months, were laid before him. Each cut to exacting, meticulously prepared lengths. They added a dark contrast to the dull steel of his tools.

At last, the last strip was bound, and loose thread cut. Ding looked at his upgraded equipment that would probably follow him through most of his time as a Soldier and was content.

Ding then promptly lost consciousness.

[X] The Changjian Twins! (With Friends and Beast Companions! Maybe new Friends too Soon?!)
-[X] Action: 'Planting Wild Oats', the twins decide they will handle this specific task as they already have experience in gathering a census from last year (Turn 8 Result) though sadly without the same treatment of giving out silver, in this case Spirit Stones, to the wild cultivators due to it being very costly... Otherwise, the convincing part aka Diplomacy is the one that they'll have to handle with utmost care. For such a task however, they will enlist help from their fellow Outer Disciples that have experience with Construction and the like for building the lodgings and perhaps some help in other aspects of this task.
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi Used (Tempered Heart).
--[X] [Merits] 6 Outer Disciple Assistance: 24 Merit, mostly for constructing Lodgings at the edge of Roaring Furnace City? And on other aspects too once that's done. (150 [Currently] - 24 + 25 (Reward) = 151 Merit)
-[X] Free Action?: Combine the nine Insights of Piercing Blade into the 'Path of ???'!

Will edit this later and put the 'X' there but I gotta prep for work and want this posted to be edited later. Might just wanna pay the '30 Spirit Stones' to those that actually are convinced to partake in this arrangement as some-sort of first taste on the potential benefits of the Sect rather than simply those taking the Census... even though it's coming from the twins' own pockets. :V

EDIT: Asked in Discord to QM/Giant Hand in the Sky, and uh, it's costly. Will just be doing Assistance then and hope for the best going forward from there. :V
EDIT2: Added a Free Action? to get the twins a Path of ??? from their nine Insights of Piercing Blade? And Omake Link too!

[X] Sun Won
-[X] Training the New Disciples: Seeing many of his juniors now starting their own paths, Sun Won takes time to monitor progress of several dozen and lend aid when needed, offering guidance as any older brother should.
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi

The path down the mountain was less impactful as the climb up, but he supposed that was the point for climbing it for the sunrise, his feathered companion did quite well for herself during their spar and as such she was contently eating some seed he had brought. As he mused to himself, the sound of young voices brought his eyes down to a nearby field, seems some of his young juniors were playing some sort of chasing game with each other. A basic form of practice for speed and evasion that kept their young minds occupied, it brought a smile to his face as he walked past, giving a nod to one of them who bowed as he passed.

The next day, Sun Won sees the same juniors practicing in the field, this time, one was given a stick and the rest tried to avoid her strikes. To Sun Won's slight amusement, none of them could avoid the young lady for long, even with each of them leaping away as they started. A slight nibble on his ear brought his eyes to his Feathered lady who chirped in a way indicative of disapproval of the children's lackluster performance.

Seemed she agreed that they needed some lessons in avoiding one with a superior weapon, standing up from his shaded spot from under a tree, he walked towards his Juniors and coughed to get their attention " Excuse me young siblings, I happened to notice you are doing a bit of avoidance training and would request an audience."

"O-oh, excuse us honored sibling." shakily spoke one of the taller and perhaps older children, a bookish looking lad who bowed almost a bit too much for Sun Won's liking. " What do ya want Old Man" spoke up the stick wielding lass, eyes narrowed in an...frankly adorable attempt at intimidation.

"MAI RAN! I am so sorry for her behavior honored sibling, she is-" He began to say before getting smacked with a stick by the irate lady. "Ah Shaduup Zi Ru, this Old Man ain't gonna hit us, he walked by yesterday and caused no issue. All's i'm asking is what he wants
."

"Well if I may be so bold, I believe I can be of some help with your training, might even give me some ideas for the upcoming tourney" excited murmurs abounded by his mention of the tourney, but one voice was absent of the murmurs.

" And what do you get out of this old man?" asked the stick wielding youth, to the wide eyes and frantic shushing of a few of her fellow Juniors. A slight smile crossed Sun Won's face at the brazen display "Why I get the satisfaction of seeing those younger then me grow further and my Feathered Lady here stops snapping at my ear watching you lot fumble around like young chicks." Sun Won can feel the sharp beak peck at him for those words, but his smile remained. " I assume that's what she says anyway...besides i'm sure none here would mind if this...Old Man was it, joined in on some fun."

Mai Ran's face scrunched up in thought before clicking her tongue and speaking "Well, i guess i can let ya give some tips, bound to be some wisdom in such a Old Head, but you better not waste my time and get hit easily Old Man! If you get beat up by me, then you ain't going anywhere near the Tourney, can't have shame be brought to Red Dew" Said the young one with a drive that made Sun Won's own smile grow wider, she'll grow strong one day, and he can't wait to see it.

"I'll endeavor to not disappoint little Lady" Sun Won replied.

"WHO YOU CALLIN LITTLE OLD MAN" She shouted as stick was raised and the game begun again.

[X] Hanyi Huoshui
-[X] Action: Hanyi spends the rest of Autumn procuring and subsequently giving gifts to all of the friends he has made since joining the Red Dew Sect.
--[X] [Qi] Qi Used (Optional)
-[X] Free: Hany merges 1 Insight on the Path of the Cooper, 2 Insights on the Path of the Ant, 1 Insight on the Path of Drinking, 3 Insights on the Path of the Drunken Sage, 1 Insight on the Path of the Beast, and 1 Insight on the Path of the Drunken Master into 1 Enlightenment on the Path of Least Resistance
-[X] [Elixir] Not using an elixir to cultivate.

After the Harvest Festival drew to a close, Hanyi started acting differently. Now don't get me wrong, the Red Dew's favorite drunkard was still the same jolly drinker that the sect had come to know and love. But wasn't as loud and bombastic as he usually was. He had grown quiet. Contemplative. He often seemed lost in thought. Going wherever the wind took him. The only time he didn't seem this way was when an expectant "Ook." from Hong would snap Hanyi out of his trance long enough for him to give the baboon a sip of the gourd. But even them, Hanyi would quickly lose focus again once Hong was satisfied. Eventually, Hanyi's aimless wanderings led him to the Market District of Roaring Furnace City. And as he regarded the many shops and stalls that surrounded him when yet another expectant "Ook." snapped him back to reality, Hanyi had an idea.

First, Hanyi went to the merchant contacts he had made back during his preparations for the wedding and had them distribute free mortal-safe magical alcohol among both themselves and all the coopers in the city and also bought fresh sets of winter clothing for all of the merchants and all of the coopers.

Next, he bought a small cart load of food and warm materials and left them by that anthill he had visited that one time.

Hanyi then passed fresh sets of winter clothing and the locations of all the magical alcohol barrel stashes around the sect he could remember out to all the people who had participated in his drinking contest during the Midsummer festival.

After that, Hanyi left a fresh set of fancy waterproof winter clothes and an ice pick on the spot where the Grouper Princess's pagoda used to be.

Once he had done that, Hanyi also shared fresh winter clothes and his stash locations with those who had listened to his stories of the Grouper Princess.

Returning to Roaring Furnace City, Hanyi bought Hong all the food that the baboon desired and had a set of winter clothes tailor made for him.

Finally, Hanyi sought out all of the cultivators he and Hong had fought with during the Harvest Festival to gift them fresh winter clothing and share with them the locations of his magical alcohol stashes.

When all of that was done, Hanyi went to rest a while atop a high place that provided a great view. As he rested, he thought back. Back not just over the events of Autumn, but also to everything that had happened since he had joined the sect. He thought of the things he had done, of the friends, he had made, of the insights he had gained along the way. All of these things had one thing in common: Hanyi had not needed to go too much out of his way for any of those things. Things might have needed a little nudge here and there sometimes, but aside from those few exceptions, everything else all sorta just happed to and/or around him. He'd heard some folks in the sect saying that the only way to get things done was through hard work and unwavering diligence, but Hanyi didn't think that was the only way. Though he was more than willing to admit that it took a little longer to get where everyone else was going, the Path of Least Resistance got there all the same.

"Ook."

Once more a vocalization from Hong drew Hanyi from his thoughts. "Another dring, beboonbudyyy?" Hanyi slurred drunkenly as he offered the gourd to Hong. Once the baboon had drunk deep, Hanyi did likewise and then rose to his feet as he felt the wind change direction. "III think... it's about time... weee moved along." Hanyi declared. And so, with Hong in tow, Hanyi allowed the wind to guide him back to the walls of the sect.

[X] Lucky Dong
-[X] Action: Finish Learning RDS(Coppper2/3)

After a good rest with this festival, Dong felt ready to keep on the immortal path. He was working all the time without rest, and now he knows that the path is important, but enjoying the views is important too.

He needs to find a balance between work, studying, and rest, maybe in a proportion of 1, 1, 1 mm. No, maybe a 2, 2, 1 that looks better, but maybe the rest in the middle, 2, 1, 2 work 2 times for the sect rest 1 time the study 2 times that could work.

Probably he will forget this plan the next time, but when you enjoy your work, you are not working more to think all these plans of time ended when he arrived to the library, a place that doesn't visit too much to be honest, but this time he didn't go to the mission hall to receive a quest because he wanted to end learning the Red Dew School (copper). His poor action during the tournament keeps following him.

Dream Log (Property of Cheng Nan) (Not a diary. Don't look if not Cheng Nan. Lest your story be unwoven, and the woods consume what remains.)

The sea of blood has changed. No longer does it flow aimlessly—it now moves with purpose, churning as though something beneath it is guiding the currents. Rising from the depths are not the spires of bone I once saw, but great structures of flesh and sinew, twisting and growing like monstrous trees fed by the blood itself.

These new forms, born of flesh, pulse with a rhythm I can feel in my chest. They writhe and coil, their tendrils reaching into the sea to draw up more blood, shaping it into grotesque figures that shamble and crawl across the landscape. They are crude, half-formed, incomplete—like the creature I made—but they move with a strange life, drawn toward the ever-growing forms above.

I watched as the figures of flesh, some barely recognizable as creatures, were drawn into the heart of one of the larger structures. It devoured them whole, its sinewy limbs twisting and contorting as it absorbed the life they still held. The blood, thick and dark, ran down its sides like sap from a great tree, pooling at its base and feeding yet more of the shapeless things that crawled below.

The sight didn't disturb me. Instead, I felt... connected to it. The flesh, the blood—it was all part of something greater, something I was becoming. This wasn't destruction—it was transformation. The blood that fed these strange growths was the same that flowed in me.

The forms, though grotesque, were alive. Their movements, though slow and stumbling, were purposeful. The landscape, once chaotic, now seemed to follow a rhythm—a cycle of consumption and creation. I felt my own flesh stir in response, as though it too recognized the pattern unfolding before me.

At the edges of the dream, shadows watched, more active now than before. They no longer just hovered in the background but moved within the blood and flesh, guiding the malformed creatures toward their final place. There was no voice, but I could sense an intent. The dream was shifting from chaos to order, and I was at the center of it.

I placed my hand upon one of the great structures, feeling its pulse match my own heartbeat. The connection was undeniable. It wasn't just feeding on the blood—it was growing, building, transforming the entire dreamscape into something new, something that could be harnessed and controlled.

The dream was no longer just a chaotic sea of blood and bone. It had become something else—a realm where flesh could be shaped, where blood could give life, and where I could direct the flow of both. I could feel the power growing in me, the dream pulling me deeper into its rhythm, its purpose.

When I woke, I still felt the pulse of the flesh beneath my skin. The blood in my veins echoed the dream's cycle of creation and transformation. My path was now clear: the dream could be shaped, molded into something far more powerful than before. Flesh, blood, life itself—all could be controlled, and I was the one to wield that power.

So, to put it simply, breaking through did not solve my nightmares at all. In fact, it seems to be worse. Onto notes! Apparently gods don't like heartfelt handmade gifts. The more you know. A little hurtful, in fact. They also held a funeral for the thief. Rude. First of all, disrespectful to their path, second of all, can't mourn someone who isn't dead. It's bad luck. That's all that's been going on that I've noticed. The tournament is getting into swing, so I need to figure out how to scam honorably make trade with the disciples using my skills before it starts in truth.
