    Admiral,
    The objective is to clear the Western coast of Greece in order to allow a combined French/Italian amphibious invasion.
    You have been ordered by the president to take actions against the greek Adriatic and Cretan military facilities. You have at your disposal most of our Navy and Air force.

    You are free to chose your path of action, but you can NOT hit the greek WESTERN Airbases, we need to be sure they will be able to defend themself if the Turks try to invade them !


    Targets to hit :
    -Aktion AB (all Runway(s))
    -Araxos AB (all Runway(s))
    -Andravida AB (all Runway(s))
    -Souda AB (all Runway(s))
    -Santorini Airbase (all Runway(s)
    -2x land based Exocet launchers
    Intel:

    Greek AA systems:
    Composed of several small medium systems : Tor,Crotales NG, Skyguard and I-hawks
    few Long range missiles : Patriots GEM2 & S-300
    Greek AF:
    Around 120x F-16Cs and 60x other A/Cs (F-4, mirage 2000)
    Greek Navy:
    5 SSk, Small frigates(4x meko200) and patrol boats(La combatante class)
    Greek EW:
    Several radar sites all known to us.
    Greek Coastal defences:
    2x land based MM.40 Blk.I launchers, along eastern coast, position to be determined...

    Italy versus Greece, because of Hitler (this is not a joke).

    I think the briefing said something about not blowing up airbases but I only skimmed it as I was C&Ping.

    • My opinion of these RoE: fuck Greece, if the Turks want to invade then they're welcome to it. Smash all their airfields into rubble, regardless of location.
     
    I've been to Santorini (the island, not the airbase). It's pretty.

    Is "Greece" the Greek word for "land of islands and radars"?

    Anyway, I don't have nukes, but I do get two carriers this time, and neither of them are stuck behind an obvious choke point and out of range and everything.

    On the downside, I have to use fucking Harriers.

    I have roughly 100 Eurofighters spread all over the boot shaped nation of Italy, and 40 Tornados spread around the airbases in northern Italy.

    And 30 odd Harrier split between two carriers.

    Also a few AMXs (WTF are those?), I dunno I think their attack aircraft or something. I'm just going to consider them like Harriers,

    Designated naval strike aircraft, because I'm fairly certain Greece has a Navy.

    The bombs and missiles (Oster and Mavericks) I'm loading can be used against ground targets as well in case I need backup strikers.

    EDIT: Greek AEW aircraft located. 280nmi away from one of my Eurofighter bases.
    Going in for the early blinding shot.

    EDIT2: For the love of god, if you're going to have a Navy you need to buy Land Attack Missiles. Fucking seriously.

    UPDATE: Trying to shoot down their AEW aircraft was a mistake.
    It cost me 4 Eurofighters, and the Greeks 5 F-16s.

    In more positive news, I have located the Greek Navy. Divided into 3 flotillas. Will trash when ready.

    It was 17 on 4. I don't have jammer aircraft, their fighters will shoot down my HARM aircraft if I try to kill their radar stations, so I'm left fighting inside their radar coverage to establish air superiority against aircraft with missiles of equally long range (AMRAAM v AMRAAM). These aircraft aren't making it into visual range and dogfighting each other, I'm playing chicken with missiles against them. Losing aircraft is a mathematical certainty, I can't avoid their counter-shots and they can't avoid mine.

    Anyway, I'm now battling it out to see who will be masters of the Ionian Sea. So far I'm winning 21 to 7:
