I just don't like the weird sexual turn the quest seems to be taking. I recognise its an anime trope and it's your freedom as author to do what you want but its something I find cringy and harmful to my suspension of disbelief.
Like it's got the feel of something grounded and realistic, but then there's jarring interruptions in the form of the goddesses discussing their cup size, priests acting like anime characters, catgirl memes and so on. That's a different thing from a neolithic blessing making people have characteristics associated with fertility.
Not saying you should or shouldn't write this stuff if you want to, just that I personally find it's something I don't enjoy. Of course I'm not the person writing this quest and its fine if you carry on the same; I'll just ignore/skip over the sections I don't like.
Perhaps a solution could be to place such segments in a sort of humorous sidestories section? That way people who like anime stuff could still enjoy it and people who don't ignore it.

It's like paths of civilization and then SUDDENLY BEWBS! Now back to our regularly scheduled political debate.

Imagine if c-span regularly took a break for congress to talk about DxD

I don't mind the catgirls, it's already established there are non human races, there can be beast men/fanus as well, as long as they're not hyper sexualized anime catgirls.

as someone whose only major contribution to this thread has been a list of lewd phrases I can most certainly atest that ladies dominate this society. RNGesus give me a dude whose culturally ubiquitous enough so that I make lewd phrases from him and his stories.

The cat girl thing and the boobs never bothered me, then again Im a dude so idk how crippling the back pain is, I just envisioned everyone as an attractive athletic lady but I can see how itd be objectifying.

in short, RNGesus give us dudes for me to write lewd...phrases about.

Its not so much that I dislike the idea of catgirls, its more of that it seems pigeonholed into the narrative and combined with everything takes on a distinctly harem anime tone that I don't really enjoy. But as others have said its Oshaa's quest and I'll just skip over the parts I don't enjoy.

Eh, the civ we were playing as has a hereditary blessing from our god which makes girls have large breasts among other effects.
It has been mentioned that this causes back pain some times and that they get some kind of magical breast support magic thingy. Given that the support thing was added due to sympathy following one of veekies comments, it is possible that the back pain may also be related to Oshha's lack of personal experience, however I'm not putting 'what sized bra cup causes back pain' into my google history.
Oshha has defended the whole thing by saying that its actually only mentioned a handful of times rather than every update as the accusations went. The response to that has been somewhat 'That only makes it more insidious by allowing our imaginations to run lose' which seems like a hell of a catch 22 to put a QM through, there also doesn't seem to have been agreement on how frequently it is discussed however unless someone goes and compilates updates, informational post, WoG ect I personally am on Oshhas analysis of not too often but Confirmation bias happens.

As for the debate I was involved in somewhere early in the quest we had a vote and the selected outcome was get cats as a divine animal. Either it was already Oshhas intentions or making allowances to a minority of the thread who were unironically(?) willing to convert to a facist state in order to eugenically breed catgirls, however since then some newer goddesses got tails and ears for no reason (Because story teller god thought it would be funny?), and theres been a horrific amount of memes in chat.

Accepted for the most part, but they refuse to convert to the Arthrynite pantheon.

On the rest of all this, I'm not going to reply to every post, but I am going to make one big post making my stance on this matter to clear things up. However, can some people start showing the parts where they think this stuff is being mentioned every update because looking at the updates myself, I feel it is only a fifth of them at most. If I am to address them, I would like to know what people are talking about and some clear cut evidence to back up their claims so I know what I am addressing.

But seriously, if you want to claim it is every update, I want some evidence of that because I am not seeing it at all.

Size D and above cause back pain commonly - DD is about 50%, anything above is nigh-ubiquitous back pain. Given supernatural fitness I'd expect D and DD to have less chance of it than in normal humans, but the fact that it's an ancient society with women being highly physically active (including in the military) would push that back up again.

Predictable. Also foolish. Getting distracted by shinies again in the hope they'll somehow help. People seem to forget the problems this caused the last time.
 
From what i understand until now Cat Ears and tail were Evalyn theme and as goddesses of war you could simply paint how useful they are, like increased hearing, added agility, sharper claws and so on.

In case of females instead of mentioning their assets you could focus on personality a little ( Basically Bronwyn was female char well done, she was ambitious, willing to manipulate people to achieve what she wants and so on).
Then there are other body parts, basically you can comment on her beautiful smile, melodic voice, tone she is speaking, piercing/soft eyes, the way she is looking you. Kissable lips, frown on her face looks cute.

When you touch her add a silk soft skin. Sun kissed skin, white as snow.
Then you can say about her round chubby cheek looking cute.
Comments on reaction either male or female gives when teased a little that looks cute to a person that teases them.

Comment on long silky hair and how would you like to take your finger through it, playing with curly hair.

When you wish to get sexuall instead of mentioning breast and body parts you can comment on how she is watching you hungrily, taking in every inch of your body, every muscle , feeling of her touches on you, her reaction , maybe she is insecure and so on .
There are lot of things you can do.

I'd love this honestly. Woman decides to have kids? Hips expand, breasts grow - men know she's fertile and interested.

Man decides to be a sneaky scout? He shrinks a little, becomes more lithe and acrobatic, and he grows cat ears and cat eyes.
 
Different people have different tastes regarding realism/memes, and its often hard to balance them in a satisfying way. An effective solution could be, I think, to spin off some of the lighter-hearted/less realistic stuff into a separate omake/sidestory series of threadmarks. This way people like me who don't like the more jokey/anime-influenced stuff could have what they want, and people who like it could also read it if they want to do so.
At the end of the day anime catgirls in an online creative writing game have no effect, good or ill, on real people.
Regarding the hero marriage vote, marrying either has the danger of spreading Maradysh family values in our society. Essentially strengthening the seeds of nepotism which have been planted by the switch to a hereditary monarchy. They're heros, they'll still work for us even if not made part of the royal family. In fact by doing heroic work/leading people while not being part of the royal family they could decrease its importance.

It's just a small thing, but I do wonder why it was relevant that Evalyn was a virgin for whether or not she should lead our nation into a monarchy and/or start a civil war.

I just thought it might be interesting to know that Evalyn had been fighting so much that she hadn't had time for sex or a romantic relationship.

Just background trivia about a character and how the war has affected their life. It was not related to the vote at the time at all.

It was mentioned in the sense of "she has essentially only been fighting for her entire life, to the point that even in our sex casual society she has yet to have sex. It was supposed to show just how messed up her situation and the war was and try to justify why she went to the lengths she did.
 
Yeah, honestly this just all seems to be a misunderstanding of Oshha's presentation. I doubt turning everyone into a catgirl ala chinese cartoon (meme) was the intended purpose.

This I feel is projecting however, 2 goddesses have cat traits out of 7. the two are related and the goddess who turned them into gods is a seeming pervert with the humour of a child.

Again, I can't tell you or anyone how to feel, but I feel like this is overblown.

That followed a discussion about Evalyn having children due to the fact that she's been doing nothing but war tho.

the man answered a question. You can talk about Oshha's presentation which I agree, is sometimes route, but that seems a bit disingenuous.

I don't feel like counting, but a fifth is still a lot. I can't really think of another minor element being mentioned as much.

There's also the thing where that element will often be the only or dominant element of the description we get.
