The People had been wanderers for as long as anyone could remember, moving from place to place...
Divine Sisters
Divine Sisters
"Who is the new sister?" Wyrn asks her mother, "I didn't expect you to adopt another one."

"It wasn't exactly my choice," replies Arthryn with a shake of her head, "You know how it is. You get worshipped and revered enough as a deity and you become that deity. However, I am happy to claim Eva as my own daughter."

"I have been expecting Evalyn to join our ranks ever since she slew Urth," says Ymarn as she walks alongside her adopted sister and mother, "Were you ever able to confirm that Urth was truly slain?"

"No," replies Arthryn, a slight scowl appearing on her face for a moment, "I never got ahold of his spirit even after crushing those arrogant little forest spirits. Disgusting little creatures who somehow managed to convince themselves they could successfully challenge a goddesses."

"A pity," says Ymarn, "I would have like to have gotten confirmation so we knew for sure, but I doubt we will be seeing him again."

"I wouldn't be so optimistic," says Wyrn, "We know little of the evil magics of the tree spirits. Just because Urth was slain doesn't mean he can't be brought back. They already brought him back at least once and any one of us has it within us to bring back one of our followers from the dead multiple times."

"Not without a price," points out Arthryn.

"All the big things have a price," replies Wyrn, "The question is whether you are able to pay it and are willingly to. The tree spirits have already answered 'yes' to those questions at least once and may do so again."

"We are getting off-topic," says Arthryn, "What do you two think of your new sister?"

"She is a mighty warrior," answers Ymarn, "She fought Vervov for many seasons before finally slaying him. Admittedly she only did as well as she did due to our support and would have failed on her own, but Vervov was easily the greatest warleader that the People have encountered. Just doing as well as she did is good enough in my opinion, but combine that with slaying Urth and being a good first Cadlon of the People, I have more than happy to call her sister and welcome her to our ranks.

I will also confess that I am quite eager to see how the two of us can play off each other. I am the Goddess of Life and she is the Goddess of Death while I hold domain over War and she holds domain over Battle. Leadership and Wisdom are also quite similar and fit in well with each other."

"I like her and not just because her deeds in life make for great stories to be told to future generations," answers Wyrn, "She was a good leader in life, equal to any of us even if she had different problems to deal with and therefore handled things differently to any of us.

I also had a hand in shaping her legend and what is believed about her by living members of the People. If I didn't like her or felt she wasn't worthy of joining us, I would have downplayed her legend. As things stand, I have done the opposite of increasing her praises and reverence by our People."

"I share your sentiments," says Arthryn, "Evalyn shall be a welcome addition to our family."

"Do you know where All-Seeress is?" asks Ymarn, "I thought she would be here for this."

"She is keeping her distance," answers Wyrn, "You know how she is."

"Ugh," grunts Ymarn, "She needs to learn how to socialise better. And she needs a proper name. All-Seeress is more of a title than a name."

"She is getting better, but these things take time," replies Wyrn, "I can only shape the stories about so much at once without her noticing what I am up."

"As long as you don't go that with the rest of us," says Ymarn.

"She has already done it with me," notes Arthryn, earning shocked looks from both of her daughters, "But that was while she was still mortal and by accident. She tried to tell the truth about me, but it got warped as the stories got passed down to later generations."

Ymarn opens her mouth to ask another question, but is cut off as the trio of goddesses come across their newest member.

While she had ended her mortal life by dying of old age, Evalyn Boarslayer, Goddess of Death, Battle and Leaderships looks youthful like the rest of them. Looking older than Wyrn, but younger than both Arthryn and Ymarn, Evalyn's divine form looks close to the All-Seeress when it comes to age.

With stunning green eyes, bright red hair that flows down to her shoulders and filled out curves to draw the ideas of almost any man and some women, Evalyn is arguably more beautiful than she was in life even if her appearance has yet to truly change.

Well, at least it has yet to truly change beyond a couple of changes, both of which currently hold Evalyn's attention captive.

"Why do I have a tail?" demands Evalyn to no one in particularly as she glares at the cat tail sticking out of her butt, its fur sharing the same colour as her hair, "And what are these things on my head?"

Both Ymarn and Arthryn look at Wyrn.

"I thought it would be funny to give your divine form the ears and tail of a cat," explains Wyrn, earning herself a glare from Evalyn, "So when the living decided that you were a goddesses, I set things up so that they believed you gained cat ears and tail upon becoming a goddess."

"Was that really necessary?" asks Arthryn as she directs a stern gaze at Wyrn.

"Ah, I suppose not," admits Wyrn, shifting guilty under her mother's gaze, "I just thought that since the cat is our, well, your sacred animal, at least one of us should have some features of a cat."

"Do it to yourself next time," says Ymarn, "Hey Evalyn, as your new sister, allow me to show you how to change your form. While we have a default divine form, it is a simple matter to just change what our body is and what we look like."

"Please do not something like this again," Arthryn tells Wyrn firmly, "It is one thing to do to yourself and what you are doing with All-Seeress is for her own good as that girl has something lodged firmly up her. But messing about others without their consent, especially when they have done nothing to deserve it is wrong and I forbid you from doing it."

"As you say," answers Wyrn dutifully, bowing her head before her mother, "Hey Ymarn?"

"Yes Wyrn," replies Ymarn as Evalyn gets rid of her cat ears and tail.

"Since you still owe me for unpersoning Curan, I'm going to give you a bigger chest for a few centuries," says Wyrn, "Maybe a bigger but to even things out."

"Urg, fine, but I still want to be able to walk in my default form so nothing ridiculously," agrees Ymarn with a roll of her eyes, "And no longer for a thousand years."

"Unless you want to keep the changes," states Wyrn.

"Unless I decide that I want to keep the changes," confirms Ymarn, "What exactly brought this on?"

"Because it is your turn," explains Wyrn with a grin on her face, "I did Mum by accident, I'm doing All-Seeress and I've done Evalyn so now I just need to do you. This seems like a harmless, but fun way to do things."

"Wait, who is Curan?" cuts in Evalyn, confused by the mention of that name and earning a sigh from Ymarn.

"I'll explain since it is ultimately my fault that you don't know about him," says Ymarn, "There is a fair bit of catching up that you will need to do now. Oh, and Wyrn? I'll be discussing acceptable sizes later before you start doing anything."

A quick omake to show the dynamics between the Arthrynite goddesses. I had the idea on my mind and figured it was a decent way to show off Evalyn becoming a goddess. I haven't proof read it and I have only thought the plot halfway through so don't be surprised by any mistakes.

The Goddess Who Sinned
Bronwyn sits slump, watching the sea from her old viewing point in a recreation of Greenbay.

"You okay there Bron?" ask Evalyn as she strides up to her newest sisters.

"I don't deserve this," says Bronwyn as she doesn't bother looking up at her great-great-grandmother turned sister.

"Are you still upset over your punishment?" inquires Evalyn as she sits down next to the Goddess of Beauty.

"Upset?" repeats Bronwyn with a bitter bark of laughter, "No, I understand I got was coming to me. I deserved to be trapped in there, paying for betraying the People like I did. They trusted me and I betrayed them."

"It wasn't that bad," argues Evalyn, "You had a bad motive, but in the end, your actions were for the best. Anyway, you couldn't have done it without me or Wyrn. We both got punished as well."

"But you both deserved to be goddesses," protests Bronwyn, "I sinned and was punished and then I got made a goddess. I don't deserve this power. I'm not worthy of it and I haven't earnt it. Urth take me, I should still be stuck in my body, trapped within that marble form.

###

"What are you up to Mum?" asks Wyrn as she strides up to her mother.

"I am just watching the living to ensure that my lessons have taken hold and have not forgotten," answers Arthryn, "While I do not like to intervene and prefer to let others make their own choices, this situation is mostly caused by my own actions and I feel the obligated to help deal with it."

"Making sure that the spells you wished into the dreams of your priestesses actually take hold and spread eh?" says Wyrn, "Let me know if you want any help with that. I'm always happy to a girl out with their mountains. Speaking of which…"

"No Wyrn," states Arthryn firmly, cutting off her daughter, "As always the answer is no."

"Come on, the rest of us have mountains while you only have hills!" protests Wyrn.

"Because All-Seeress doesn't care while Bronwyn likes her beauty and so does Evalyn," answers Arthryn, "Ymarn promised to go along with it for a few centuries while you just don't want to admit that you are wrong."

"I completely knew what I was doing," argues Wyrn, "Mum, you just need to get someone to climb your submit."

"Wyrn!" exclaims Arthryn.

"But seriously, I got a little situation to deal with," continues Wyrn, "Now I could deal with it completely on my own, but as I said, you could do with someone climbing your submit. We all know that you don't get your mount-no they wait they are hills-your hills climbed enough."

"What is your situation?" asks Arthryn, ignoring the rest of her daughter's antics for she is used to them at this point.

"I got a potentially tragic outcome that I want to turn into a happy ending," explains Wyrn, "You see, there is this Maradysh girl who is into girls, but her family won't allow that as they want to marry off to the son of one of the more important families in a neighbouring village. Since she will won't be able to have proper love for as long as she lives amongst the Maradysh so I got a plan to get her to live amongst the Arthwyd. She will even get a lover out of it."

"Go on," says Arthryn, deciding that this is one of Wyrn's good deeds rather than another of her pranks, "Love and freedom is something that everyone deserves to have."

"So here is my plan. One of us will go and climb her submit through she hasn't go much of one lacking your blessing and all that. Then I will go and make her realise that she will be better off in the Arthwyd as she will be allowed to be with a female lover. She will then flee north where she will run into a Cateye who is also gay and of a similar age that I will direct south. The Cateye will take the girl back to the Arthwyd with her and if I am not wrong about the, they will naturally fall in love with one another."

"That is a solid plan," agrees Arthryn, "I shall take part in it."

"But only if you have mountains and not hills," insists Wyrn, "Otherwise I'll do it myself rather than have you not give the poor girl as much as a good time as she could have."

"I will increase my figure for the night," promises Arthryn, barely refraining from rolling her eyes.

"Sweet," says Wyrn with a grin on her face, "Want to check up on the others? Bron still feeling a little uncertain."

"I should go and reassure her then," declares Arthryn.

***

Bronwyn lets out a yelp as Arthryn embraces her as the eldest goddess grips her newest daughter in a firm hug.

"Bronwyn, despite punishing you for your sin, I love you as my daughter as much as any of the others," says Arthryn to the youngest member of the pantheon.

"I don't deserve it," protests Bronwyn, "I haven't earnt this."

"She is still feeling like she is unworthy of being part of our family," explains Evalyn and Arthryn gives her other daughter a glance, "She is still getting caught up on the whole being stuck in a future for a few winters even through both myself and Wyrn were punished alongside her."

"I am a sinner, punished by Arthryn herself!" exclaims Bronwyn, seemingly obvious to that fact that Arthryn herself is currently giving her a hug, "I don't deserve to be a goddess!"

"Bronwyn," states Arthryn firmly and draws the full attention of the youngest goddess, "You did something wrong and I had to punish you for it. But you had your punishment and it is over. You have learnt your lesson and we both know you will not repeat your sin again.

You are now the Goddess of Beauty, Love and Repentance. You are beautiful, providing a wonderous appearance to the world and patron of beauty and pretty appearances. You both showed much love to the People while you were Cadlon and received in return. You know both how to love your community, your family and your lovers and can guide the People to be like you.

And finally, you committed a sin, but have successfully repented for it. You accepted your punishment, understand what you did wrong and shall not do it again because you know that it is wrong. You will an example to the People on how one can sin and then make amends for it."

Arthryn pauses for a moment as she gives Bronwyn a chance to take in her words before continuing again.

"Your sister Wyrn has yet to acknowledge her wrongdoing and would do something else like it again," continues Arthryn, "So while her punishment has ended, she has not learnt from it like you have.

Bronwyn, you were an excellent Cadlon and a good ruler. With one exception, you did your best to serve the People. You brought the People and the Maradysh back together and overturned past bad relationships. You managed to convince the majority of the Maradysh to serve me and your sisters. I and many others would happy call you the greatest Cadlon to have lived."

"I would agree that you have been the best Cadlon so far," adds Evalyn, "I might have fought back the enemies of the People, but outside of waging war, I wasn't that good a Cadlon. If I had to reign in a time of peace like you, I doubt I would have done nearly as well."

"Bronwyn, it might have been Wyrn who spread the tales need to let you gain the power to become a goddesses," says Arthryn, "But if I did not want you as my daughter or considered you unworthy of being a goddess, I would have stepped in and make my thoughts known. You are my daughter because I am willingly calling you so and if I wasn't, I would let all of the People know regardless of whatever my eldest desired.

You are my daughter, the Goddess of Beauty, Love and Repentance. Be an example to the People as to how they can redeem themselves upon sinning they will evitable do so sooner or later. Guide the People on how to bring love and beauty into the world for doing so makes it a better place."

"But you punished me," whispers Bronwyn, "I was bad enough to deserve death, slay by Arthryn's own-your own hand."

"Everyone makes mistakes," Arthryn reassures her, "Even me. While you needed to be punished, I would have done so differently in hindsight. Rather than take you into the Afterlife, I should have let your body return to flesh and blood. Maybe even give you back the years who would have missed if you had repented like you did.

But what is done is done. We cannot change the past and we can only try to make the future better. You feel you don't deserve your power because you sinned. Well, you have this power now and here you are bemoaning that. Whether you feel that you deserve to be one of my daughters or not, you are now a Goddess. The People are depending on you. Is refusing to wield your power and choosing to mope instead really in their best interests? You regret failing to do your duty once, but here you are, on the verge of making that mistake again."

Arthryn releases Bronwyn as her youngest daughter looks up at her.

"If it proves necessary to show how I don't hold your sin against you, I will spend time in a statue myself," Arthryn tells Bronwyn, "But for you, the People need you Bronwyn. Be a Goddess and guide them to greatness."

Power is Everything
Power is Everything
Urth shifts uncomfortable as he walks back to his personal citadel within the Great Forest, still not yet used to the jiggle of his stolen body's bosom. It has been the better part of weeks since he managed to claim the woman's body and he just to grow accustomed to it.

He doesn't regret getting it by a long shot, but he would have preferred Brys' body to his sister's. Beyond preferring a male body like he is used to, this one is utterly terrible for fighting and the undead being will need to re-think parts of his plan if he is now more limited in what he is physically capable of doing.

Yet while it is a shame that not everything went to plan, Urth knew that was likely going in and he is pleased that he was able to achieve most of his goals. He has decapitated the Arthwydish leadership as the king, his queens, his eldest two children are all dead by his hand. It will certainly take them time to recover from such a blow as they are forced to pick a new leader. Beyond that, they will be having troubles with the disloyal Maradysh as not only are the southerners still dealing with the gift that he set up in their lands before making the journey to Greenbay, but there is also a chance that the personal union will break depending who the new Cadlon is.

It really was a successful master plan by him. After careful years of studying both the northerners and the deities of the Lowlands, he was able to get by their goddesses through Urth doesn't dare dream that he will be able to pull such a stunt next time. He may be safe from Arthryn's wrath when he is outside of her people, but he doubts that she will be fooled so easily next time by time.

Urth isn't so foolish to needlessly challenge Arthryn nor expect her to be easily outmanoeuvred. Unlike the likes of Nalnir and Zaranna, Arthryn is an ancient and powerful force that crushes her foes with ruthlessness in addition to holding the willingly support of her followers. That sort of power is not casually reckoned with and someone who has lived as long as Urth is all too aware of that.

And now that he has harmed her people and bested her by stealing the blessings of her, Urth has no doubts that Arthryn will be seeking to pay him back. She is too limited to directly strike at him and Urth made sure that his theft wouldn't leave any openings for her to use, but she will almost certainly direct her followers to attack him.

When she does, Urth will need to rethink how he will fend them off. He originally planned to lead the defence himself should they break through the outer defences so they wouldn't get too far, but with this unwieldly bosom, that is no longer an option for him. He can still command and wield magic, but when it comes to slaughtering his foes personally, he cannot do that while he has this body.

Glancing down at the bosom in question, Urth notes that several centuries ago, he would have greatly appreciated having a body like this at his disposal. But he has long outgrown petty things such as sex. Such a thing is trivial unless it gets him more power. Power is everything.

And since his plan to retain the divine blessings that this body has worked for the most part, he is happy with this body. While it is no maiden, it is still a matron in its prime and both its divine blessing and divine blood means that not only is it tougher and stronger than the average lowlander body, but it longer lived as well.

If only he had gotten Brys' body so this oversized bosom didn't keep him from fighting. If it wasn't for the mounds of flesh jutting out of his chest that annoying jiggle with every spirit-damn step, Urth would consider his plan to be a total success. As it is, his new bosom keeps getting in the way and will continue to do so.

Matters are made worst by the fact he failed to keep some of the newer effects of the blessing when he severed the ties with Arthryn as while the older ones are part of the body and could be kept bound to it, the more recent ones are tie to the connection to Arthryn.

While he has no regrets about severing any ties to Arthryn and her offspring, Urth does regret that he didn't keep the parts that could have let him deal with this body more easily. He doesn't have the part of blessing at keeps his oversized bosom from bouncing all over the place nor he have the ability to reduce their size to something more manageable. But the power is worth it and power is everything.

At least he doesn't have to worry about it growing old and useless as the same magic that gives the body a facsimile of life also keeps it free from the ravages of time. So long as he doesn't do anything stupid, he can keep this body indefinitely.

Glancing at the mindless corpses on each side of him, a dozen of them on his right and a dozen to his left and all of them under his personal control, Urth decides to think about how this body will change his plans.

Much of his old plan is still viable. He has a body that can breed and he has kept most of the blessing and he has successfully escape Arthryn's wrath for now.

The blessing is the most useful as while he didn't get all of it and he is certain that what he currently has won't get automatically passed on, Urth is confident he can make use of the blessing. He will probably have to repurpose what he does have into a new one of his own devising, but the ancient undead being is confident of his ability to do so. He has grown proficient at re-working the divine magic of the lowlander deities to suit own ends since his death at the ends of Evalyn Boarslayer and he should be able to do the same with the magic of Arthryn and her Daughters.

He'll keep the current blessing as a foundation, throw in some bits of magic he has gotten from the lowlander deities and add in some of his own magic to complete things. From there, he can spread that magic to his offspring though that last part of his plan needs some adjusting.

Urth had originally planned to have a male body so he could impregnate some captive women from the lowlands. Instead it looks like he will be the one who has to carry the children in his womb. While the pregnancy will leave him incapacitated to a degree, this new stupid bosom of his will already being doing that so that is no great loss. No, what annoys him is that rather than have several breedable women to use right from the start, he only has one. Depending on whether or not he has male or female offspring, that number will increase in time.

Urth hopes that his first child will be a boy as while he will take a generation to grow up, he will be able to start impregnating slave-women like Urth hoped to do himself.

Regardless of any inefficiencies in his plan, it will still work out even if takes longer. Time isn't anything he needs to be too concerned about for he has plenty of it. It may take him longer to breed a loyal cult to worship it him, but he can do it.

Power is Everything.

Family Meeting
Family Meeting
"Now that we are all here, we can start this meeting," says Arthryn as she stands before all of her daughters, having gathered them for a family meeting.

Arthryn is the tallest of them, with her body halfway through its third decade with its relatively mild curves alongside a lean and muscular build. Her blue eyes look across her divine children while her brown hair falls down to her shoulders and no further. She wears a leather tunic with a loose fur cloak wrapped around her.

As per the legends, Wyrn looks like her mother except she is both younger and beautiful. Not only is her body a decade younger, but whereas Arthryn has adopted a mundane appearance, Wyrn has gone for a more divine appearance with a fuller figure and she chosen to show it off with a tight-fitting leather skirt and vest while stone bracelets that have shifting designs on them rests on her waists and a stone necklace laced with gold is tied around her neck.

All-Seeress sits off to the side of Wyrn and while she has similar curves to Wyrn, she looks distinctly different with white eyes and long blonde hair in addition to lacking the muscles of Wyrn and Arthryn. This is only further empathised by her thick fur clothing concealing her body and a general disinterested look on her face as she seems to be distracted by thinking of something else other than what is going on around her.

Ymarn is paying more attention and looks somewhere between Wyrn and Arthryn as not only is she halfway between their ages, but Ymarn has also gone for a middle ground in her appearance as her figure isn't as divine as Wyrn, but neither is it mundane as her mother's. She smiles as she locks her green eyes with the blue ones of her mother and gives Arthryn a nod of acknowledgement. Like her mother, she is wearing a leather tunic, but Ymarn wears it better as it rests closer to her larger figure in addition to having a necklace with series of glittering gems set into the stone.

Like Wyrn, Evalyn has gone for a divine figure to go alongside her tall height and thick muscles and unlike everyone else here, she isn't wearing clothing. Instead, she has gone with the same armour that her Catclaws wear, a leather tunic with hard, thick leather armour over her chest and lower body alongside leather armour over her shoulders and lower arms. Unlike proper Catclaw attire, Evalyn has chosen to shape her chest armour so that it fits her breasts. Her cat ears poke up amongst her red hair and her equally red cat tail gently flicks back and forth. While she doesn't have a shied or any weapons on her, Evalyn has a look of a warrior who is both fearsome and beautiful at the same time.

The youngest of the goddesses looks closer to Wyrn than any of the others and as one would expect from Bronwyn, she is able to look more beautiful than Wyrn. Slightly older with long blonde hair whilst also having blue eyes, it is hard to point down how Bronwyn looks more beautiful. Her curves just managed to seem fuller while she happens to have just the right amount of muscles in proportion to her tall height. Her leather skirt is as short as it can be without showing too much of her hips to be indecent while her leather vest hugs her chest tightly as it doesn't reach down far enough to conceal her abdomen and reveals just enough of her cleavage while remaining alluring without verging into being inappropriate. She wears gemstone rings on half of her fingers while her stone bracelets have detailed and intricate designs on them and a stone necklace laced a swirling mix of gold and silver rests around her neck and falls down to just above her breasts.

"While we are a family and the ones responsible for guiding our People to a better future," says Arthryn, "Despite preaching a message of unity to our followers, we have done a poor job of doing that ourselves. We all wield immense power and influence and yet we have different goals and outlooks. We have all tried to guide our followers towards a different way of doing things and while we all genuinely believe that what we are doing is for the best, it has lead to conflicting outcomes that ultimately result in something that isn't in the best interests of the people. Combine that with how our followers will come up with their own conclusions and beliefs, we need to decide what message we need to share with our followers and what sort of things we are going to guide them towards."

"I suggest that we establish what you consider to be fundamental and work from there," says Ymarn, "While I love you Mum as do we all, none of us are foolish enough to deny that you have final say over matters and none of us can truly contest your chosen course of action."

"That is a fair statement," acknowledges Arthryn, "As we all know, looking after others and the rest of your community is important. So is treating others fairly and giving them a chance to prove themselves. Beyond that is not gaining things for yourself at the expense of others."

"So we got treating others fairly and giving them a chance to prove themselves, not being selfish and looking after your community," states Ymarn, "Those are some simple beliefs which are the backbone of Arthwyd society. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have anything to add upon that. Mum's beliefs make for a good foundation and anything else is just adding to them."

"I think we should talk about the main contention, which is to say the royal family," says Evalyn, "Some of us support it as do the people yet Mum is against it."

"It is foolish to limit power to a single individual or a select group of individuals," says Arthryn, "Not only does it unfairly limit others in what they can achieve, but it makes it harder to get rid of an incompetent or malicious individual."

"Which is hardly likely to happen," argues Wyrn, "Besides, we can just avoid the problem by making sure that the royal family is competent and good at being leaders. If we use our power to ensure that the Cadlons are all good rulers, the People benefit from a strong and capable leader to guide them to greatness. Eva is already doing it via giving her descendants a divine bloodline, but we could do more."

"Perhaps, but so long as it doesn't cause unfair treatment amongst the People," replies Arthryn, "Since the subject has been raised, we should talk about the growing belief that war is for men and leadership is for women since we all know that they are untrue and the belief has the potential to go down an unwanted path."

"While I understand why you dislike it Mum," says Ymarn, "I don't think it is going to go away any time soon. If it was, your improvements to your blessing would see more impact on countering it. As things are, it is entrenched and if will take some concentrated effort to get rid of it."

"Personally, I am thinking that since we cannot get rid of it easily, we ought to migrate the worst of it and try to make use of it," says Evalyn, "That is already happening with the royal family as the women are better suited for peace than war and it isn't the same for the men, but it could be the case."

"I do not like it," states Arthryn bluntly, "The idea spreading through the People would result in people given deny chances and opportunities due to their gender. It might work for the royal family nonsense the rest of you support, but it will be bad for the People as a whole. Bronwyn, you wish to say something?"

As the rest of the goddesses focus on their newest member, Bronwyn shifts uncomfortable under the attention, but speaks up anyway.

"I want to pointed out that the People are viewing bigger figures as a sign of our favour," says Bronwyn, "So I thought maybe we could make their reality rather than let our People use it as an incorrect belief as the basis for an important system."

"Ooo!" exclaims Wyrn excitedly, "I like this idea."

"Shh Wyrn," say Ymarn, "Let Bron finish."

"I was thinking that Mum could reduce the range of chest sizes for our People and then, we could give a slightly bigger size for those with our favour," continues Bronwyn, "We could find girls who stand out to us for one reason or another and increase their breast size when they grow up as a sign of our favour since that is what the People will think. We could also do the same for our priestesses and sacred warriors as once they successfully become one, we could increase their size if we haven't already as a sign of our favour and approving of them successfully become a priestess or sacred warrior."

"That is an interesting idea that has some merit to it," muses Arthryn.

"Perhaps we could apply something similar to the men?" Evalyn starts to suggest, but is cut off by her mother.

"No, it is one thing to do with the women when there is already something in place and it is another thing to introduce more diversions amongst our People," states Arthryn, her voice firm and unyielding, "We will not be formalising a gender divide amongst our people or making what has already occurred even worst. Even with Bronwyn's idea, I am not convinced it is for the best even I am willingly to admit that the idea may have some merit to it and is worth considering."

"What about punishment for the living?" inquires Ymarn, "I know that you have punished Bronwyn, but what others? It may be a good idea to use your influence to remind the People that their worst excesses have consequences."

"It may be," answers Arthryn, "But I am wary of imposing my will. I do not want to force people to follow my way of doing things because I think it is for the best. Even with Bronwyn, I only did it to make my point felt and I feel I didn't handle the matter as well as I should have. Rather than have it end her life, I should have let her body turn back to flesh and blood so she may have live out the rest of her life."

"It wasn't that bad Mum," Bronwyn reassures her, "I wouldn't say that I am happy to have died, but we all die at some point and at least I got to avoid growing old and kept some of my youth alongside most of my beauty."

"I have some suggestions Mum," says Ymarn, "Rather than punish political decisions, you should go for outright unacceptable behaviour. Things such as forcing yourself upon another person without their consent or murdering a member of your community. It wouldn't have to be like how you punished Bronwyn as you could just turn to stone temporarily for the duration of their punishment and let them turn back afterwards."

"You would still run into the problem of being trapped alone and unable to move would drive someone insane," points out Wyrn.

"Aye, that is a problem," acknowledge Ymarn, "But I think the idea has merit. If we can solve the problem of how long to punish them or how to keep them from going insane, we could get the priest to bring the accused before us in our places of worships so we can judge them guilty or innocent."

"I will look into that idea," declares Arthryn, "If we can solve the problem of the punished going insane, we could try to implement it. All-Seeress, you have been quiet so far. Do you have anything to add or suggest?"

"No," answers the All-Seeress without hesitation.

"What about the royal family?" asks Evalyn, returning to her original point, "How do they fit into the People in your view?"

"I will tolerate them so long as they act in the best interests of the People," answers Arthryn, "If they can do that and their wrongs that they embody stay with them and don't spread to rest of the People, I will leave them and tolerate them even if I do not approve of the existence of the royal family."

Evalyn gives a nod of approval and declines to press the matter. For a moment, a companionable silence reigns as none of the gathered goddesses speak up.

"I think we should more meetings like this," says Wyrn, smiling as she breaks the silence, "Spending time together as a family is something we ought to do more often."

Trip Down Memory Lane
Trip Down Memory Lane
"Do you mind if I sit here with you?" Arthryn asks the eldest of her daughters.

"Of course not," answers Wyrn as she slides along a bit to make room for her mother.

Arthryn sits down in the space next to her as they overlook a replica of Greenbay as it was over a thousand years ago before the Arthwyd had expanded beyond their original settlement. Specifically the burial mound that contains the remains of both Arth and Vyrn.

"This brings back memories," says Arthryn after a few moments of silent, "Back then, you were my granddaughter."

"And you were my grandparents," replies Wyrn with a solemn smile on her face, "Does it bother you being one person instead of two?"

"No, I like being me," answers Arthryn, a grin spreading across her faith, "Even if I wasn't a goddess, it feels nice to be like this. To be two people made into one, I would just feel like I am missing something if I lost half of me. Most likely because I would have lost half of myself."

"And I like being your daughter," says Wyrn, "I mean, I do speak to my original mum still and she is still my mum, but..."

"I know how you feel," replies Arthryn, "I still speak to my birth children and I love them as much as my divine children. And that includes your mother."

"Things have changed," states Wyrn, "It has been centuries and everything is different. Of my sisters, I am the only one who remembers a time when it was Arth and Vyrn and not Arthryn."

"Have you told any of your sisters about that?" inquires Arthryn.

"Ymarn knows," answers Wyrn, "I told her when we first became goddesses. I didn't trust All-Seeress enough to tell her back then and it just feels to weird to explain to the younger lot. It feels weird to look at this burial mound. Nobody uses them anymore. We just burn the bodies and the ashes are given to us. They weren't even using burial mounds when Ymarn lived."

"That reminds me, did I found Greenbay or was born here?" Arthryn asks her daughter.

"I went with a mixture of both," answers Wyrn with a chuckle, "You were born here and then latter founded Greenbay here."

"Not quite the truth, but close enough I suppose," muses Arthryn, "I miss the old days. Call me old fashioned, but I feel things were better back then. No war, no royal families or no barbarians, just working for your community and giving everyone the fair shakes."

"I suppose it might have been, but times change and so do things alongside them," replies Wyrn, "We are still doing well."

"I guess we are," agrees Arthryn, "Thinking about the old days, we are the only two goddesses who remember a time before my Blessing."

"Yeah," muses Wyrn, "Regret giving it?"

"No," answers Arthryn without hesitation or doubt, "It has caused some problems and things I haven not liked and I would have done it differently with my current degree of experience, but it has been a good thing for our People. They are stronger and tougher and they live longer. Children and mothers are more likely to live while illness and injury are less of a problem for our People. It has caused things I have no liked, but the good it has done outweighs that."

"I can't disagree with that," says Wyrn, "I bet this burial mound is still here. Do you want to be revealed?"

"I think that I do not," replies Arthryn, "Maybe in the future, but for now? Let it stay amongst the past. Perhaps if our people go looking for such things or stumble across it on their own, we shall reveal its significance."

"Your call," agrees Wyrn, "Hmm, I would to ask something. Less of a question and more a request."

"Go ahead," says Arthryn, "I will not promise to agree to it."

"I was wondering if you would be okay with swapping forms," asks Wyrn, "Just for a bit. I could take on the mundane, original form that you prefer while you take on the form of form of divinity beauty that our followers expect from us and I favour."

"I did not expect you to go for something that reduces your beauty," replies Arthryn, giving her daughter a curious look.

"If I am honest Mum, I just want to see you with bigger curves for once," explains Wyrn with a shrug, "If that means reducing my own, eh, I am willingly to pay that price for a bit."

Arthryn just rolls her eyes and a moment later her appearance shifts. While slightly taller than Wyrn, she had the mundane and relatively mild curves that she once had in one of her mortal lives while Wyrn has the divine proportions that their followers expect them to have. Now Arthryn is both taller and more muscular with a fuller figure, looking more akin to her daughter if older and her beautiful aspects of her body are more exaggerated.

The main difference is clothing as while Wyrn wears tight-fitting clothing and jewellery to show off her beauty, Arthryn has kept her leather tunic and fur cloak, adjusting them to match her new form as well as they did her old.

"I will have this form for small period of time without any concessions on your part," Arthryn informs Wyrn, "I do not mind indulging one of my daughters every now and again so long as it is harmless and not too onerous. Simply being more beautiful is something I am willingly to do once in a while."

"Thanks Mum!" exclaims Wyrn happily as she grabs her mother in a hug, "You are the best!"

"Of course I am," replies Arthryn fondly as she hugs her daughter back, "That is why I am the greatest of the People."

"You know what we ought to do now?" says Wyrn, "We ought to arrange some fun with the others. I know that Evalyn wants to race you while you are like this. Wrestle you do, but I am unsure if you would go for that."

"We can arrange a family wrestling competition," says Arthryn as the two of them release each other, "It sounds like fun and I used to enjoy wrestling with myself back in the day. It would be nice to do it again and it makes for some good family bonding. Bronwyn could do with the combat practice while All-Seeress could do with the inclusion in general."

"I'll go and inform the other!" exclaims Wyrn, leaping to her feet.

"And I will go and offer Evalyn that race that she desires," declares Arthryn as she also gets to her feet, "We can do it once the wrestling contest is over."

The eldest two goddesses share a smile with each other before they and the world around them disappears as they go their separate ways.

Curious Halfbreed
Curious Halfbreed
"I wonder if we could get our own tamed animals," says Aryna as the girl who is almost a women, watches the pair of Boarmen ride by on the backs of their dire boars.

"We already have our own tamed animals," points out her best friend, Mayrd with a slight frown as she tries to understand what Aryna is talking about.

Aryna is one of the People's few halfbreeds, born to a Maradysh Birdfolk father and an Arthwydish human mother. While human looking for the most part, Aryna has some distinct and obvious Birdfolk heritage. She lacks the beak, but her feet have talons and while she isn't fully covered in feathers like her father, Aryna has blue-white feathers on the back of her head in place of hair. However, the blatant feature of her Birdfolk heritage is the pair of feathered wings sticking out of her back, which work well enough to give Aryna limited flight.

Another distinctive part of Aryna's heritage is that she has the Blessing of Arthryn from her mother. While it is no longer rare amongst the Maradysh anymore, it is still uncommon as many, including Mayrd, still lack it. As things are, Aryna is something of an exotic beauty amongst the community thanks to the combination of her Birdfolk heritage, her taller than average height, her innately muscular build and her womanly curves,

Mayrd on the other hand is more barbarian looking. She lacks the muscles that Aryna has by default and despite her best efforts has not managed to catch up to her best friend in that area. Other than that, she is shorter than the average member of the People and despite being older than Aryna and of age, Mayrd is still childishly flat. Aryna wouldn't go as far to say that her best friend is ugly, there are many that would, especially in up in the north.

"I am more referring to taming birds as the Boarfolk have tamed their dire boars," explains Aryna, "Just as the Boarfolk have used their connection to tame the dire boars, I was wondering if Birdfolk or those with Birdfolk heritage could use our connection to birds to tame them."

"Do you think that is possible?" asks Mayrd, genuinely curious about her best friend's idea.

"Maybe, maybe not," admits Aryna, "While it may not be possible use an innate connection, I do think we could tame some birds without that connection."

"In that way?" inquires Mayrd.

"Well, the first thing would be getting ready to look after them," answers Aryna thoughtfully, "We would proper pens to keep them, both to provide with shelter from the elements, but also to protect them from predators and to keep them from flying away. We would also need to learn how to look after them once we tamed them. We would need to feed them properly and give them the right amount of room and to ensure that they are able to breed whilst under our care."

"That sounds like a lot of work," says Mayrd.

"Not as much as you might think," replies Aryna, "I've been asking around and a lot of that is already known by the hunters. It would just be a matter of applying that knowledge and filling the empty spaces. After that, we should just need to capture some. We would want to get enough that they can breed. It would be probably be easier if we bred them as the offspring could be tamed while they are still young."

"Do you think that you could get permission to try?" inquires Mayrd.

"No, not in the current climate," answers Aryna with no small amount of frustration in her voice, "I haven't asked yet, but I already know that they wouldn't agree to try something like this when there isn't enough food to go around."

"So what are you going to do about it then?" asks Mayrd.

"I might move north where they aren't starving," says Aryna, "Not only does it mean that I don't have to worry about starving, but there will be most resources spare that I might be able to provided with. Plus they are generally more knowledgeable up north so that could help with my projects."

"I'll miss you if you go north," says Mayrd, earning herself a look from Aryna.

"You could come with me," points out Aryna.

"And end up standing out as some kind of barbarian?" scoffs Mayrd, "I think not."

"We would both stand out," argues Aryna, "My paternal heritage will make me stand out as well."

"But you have the Blessing," counters Mayrd, "You will be able to fit in with your mountains while I shall stand out as ugly."

"Nobody will hold that against you," says Aryna.

"And I would rather stay in a place where I am not the only person who is ugly," replies Mayrd, "Besides Aryna, I got a job now. You are still young and have yet to have your future decided while I have commitments and already have my foundation lain. You are my oldest and closest friend Aryna, but I cannot follow you to Greenbay should you go there, no matter how much I would miss you."

"I still don't what I am going to do in the future," says Aryna, "I want to keep trying to discover new stuff, but I don't know what job allows me to do that."

"Because a priestess then," suggests Mayrd, "You got the mountains for it and you won't have too many rivals here unlike you would up north."

"You think that would work?" asks Aryna.

"It couldn't hurt to try," replies Mayrd, "You will just end up needing a different job if you fail so you might as well try."

"Then I shall speak to Priestess Harun latter," declares Aryna, "Thanks for the advice May. Your words are always helpful."

"And your ideas are always interesting Ari," replies Mayrd, "I enjoy talking to you and I hope that whatever the future may hold for us, we are able to continue to have conversations with each other."

"Me too May," agrees Aryna, "Me too."

Lowland Romance - Part 1
Lowland Romance I
Roslyn carefully looks around Caermyr as she gets off of the raft, having finally completing her journey now that she has made it to the capital of the Colryd. Placed at a point where the three largest and longest rivers in the northern lowlands met, it was already something of a focal point in the lowlands even before Queen Eira came to power and turned into a centre of trade.

Born and raised in Greenbay, Caermyr is nothing like what the Arthrynite priestess is used to. Greenbay is the capital of the People with over twenty thousand people there while Caermyr is only a tenth of that size. To Roslyn, the capital of the Colryd and one of the largest settlements in the lowlands looks like one of the minor Arthwyd settlements that she passed through on her journey down Green River.

Greenbay has a seemingly endless amount of buildings made of brick and straw and is organised into many different neighbourhoods that have their own farms and are semi-self sufficient with their own palisades in addition to the outer palisade that surrounds all of Greenbay. It is properly organised and built with the materials and methods of the People.

Caermyr is different. Beyond being significantly small, it is just more primitive in nature. It lacks the brick and stone that the People use it the lowlanders have mud huts. And just by looking at it from the river, Roslyn can tell that the entire settlement is a mess. With buildings and structures scattered about in no clear pattern, it looks like everyone just decided to put up their homes and places of work on a whim with no organisation in place. Given that the Colryd are barbarians, Roslyn wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Another thing that stands out to her that the villagers are walking about mostly have stone tools as while there are some copper tools, they are not as universal as the metal tools of the People. The Colryd villagers also look rather undeveloped compared to what members of the People that Roslyn is used to seeing in Greenbay. They are short and weak, lacking the general fitness and health of the People as they look like their growth got stunted. This is especially the case for the women as if it wasn't for having other signs of age such as wrinkles, Roslyn would mistake them for children with their short stature, their childishly flat chests and their generally lacklustre appearance.

Shifting her posture a bit, Roslyn cannot help, but wonder how much she will stand out with her height and mountains amongst these barbarians. While she is a priestess and not a Catclaw, Roslyn isn't worried about being attacked or otherwise physically assaulted thanks to the respected positions that the Arthrynite priestesses hold in Colryd society, the divine magic that she wields and the general fear of the Northern Demons held by the barbarians of the lowlands.

No, Roslyn is more worried about unwanted passes by lowlander men wanting to bed one of the beauties of the north as her own preferences are towards her own gender. That and adjusting to live amongst the uncivilised lowlanders. The Colryd are alright for a bunch of barbarians, but they aren't civilised like the People are. It won't be too bad as Roslyn will be living as part of Queen Eira's court, but she doubts that she will spend too much time here amongst the Colryd.

Roslyn heads towards the longhouse that Queen Eira rules from. Place upon the top the largest hill in Caermyr, it is a hard sight to miss and one that stands out. While Roslyn expects to be staying with the other Arthrynite priestesses, she also knows that she will spending a lot of time in the Queen's long house as part of her new duties.

***

Roslyn settles down in a seat away from the centre of the long hall as the patriarchs of Caermyr mingle with Queen Eira and her court. While the queen has them fighting each other for her attention and a couple of her fellow priestesses are also mingling, Roslyn has decided to stay out of the way.

It has been close to a season since she arrived in Caermyr and Roslyn would happily stay away from all of these boisterous social gatherings if it wasn't for the fact she needs to attend some to avoid being rude. That wouldn't be too bad except Queen Eira holds one almost every day as she picks her partner from the night so Roslyn still ends up regularly attending them as she goes to about one in every five.

She doesn't enjoy, especially given the barbaric nature of the Colryd. While no one has truly tried to force themselves upon her or any other Arthrynite, on more than one occasion, a drunken man has tried to get touchy with her. Thanks to the politics of the situation, Roslyn has had to endure having her bottom grabbed or one of her breasts groped on more than one occasion without punishing the offender in response.

So now, she just attends without partaking as she is technically here and not snubbing the queen with non-attendance, but she also doesn't get involved with the ongoing of the event either. So she sits out away from the main affair and just waits out the evening. She planned to do that tonight before Wyrn decided otherwise.

"Hello Roslyn," says a soft purr of a voice and Roslyn turns around to face Katryn, the youngest of Queen Eira's adult children.

Like her mother, Katryn has the Gift of Urth and is a great beauty by the standards of the evil despite her unnatural nature. While she lacks the muscles of the People thanks to her physical strength being based in magic, Katryn is still tall and curvy with a chest big as those of the royal family. Even her long black hair and sometimes glowing red eyes are something that Roslyn finds attractive in an exotic kind of way.

Charming and adventurous, Katryn is the sort of person that Roslyn would like to be the Evalyn of except she knows for a fact that Katryn doesn't share her preferences in sexual partners. She has watched Katryn leave her mother's parties with male partners for the night on more than one occasion.

While Roslyn could get to know Katryn as a friend, she has generally kept away from the dark beauty out of a desire not to cause herself pain by being so close to the thing that she desires while she is unable to have it. But now Katryn has approached her.

As she looks over at Katryn, Roslyn cannot prevent her eyes from straying. Katryn is beauty and unlike civilised people like Roslyn who cover up their divinely given curves as is proper, Katryn does not. Instead, she wears a skirt around her groin, but otherwise, she wears only jewellery with a silver bracelet with implanted gems on both wrists while a golden necklace with a large white and oval gem, falling down to just above her cleavage, which is uncovered and bare for all to see, including Roslyn's eyes. It was a barbaric way of dressing, but one that Roslyn enjoyed as it let her eyes take in Katryn's attractive looks.

"Hello Katryn," replies Roslyn, forcing her eyes away from Katryn's generous and naked chest up to look the daughter of Queen Eira in the eye, "What can I do for you?"

Katryn gives a sly smile as she leans against the wall of the longhouse and place an arm under her chest, emphasising it and lifting it up a little as while her chest is on part with a member of the royal family, Katryn doesn't have Arthryn to hold her mountains up. Against her will, Roslyn's eyes move back down to her chest for a moment and the smirk on Katryn's face as she looks back up tells Roslyn that Katryn planned for that to happen.

"I was just curious about why you avoid me even through you made it clear that you wish to make love to me," asks Katryn and Roslyn realises that she has not been as discreet as she thought she had.

"I have noticed that unlike myself, your preferences are for men," answers Roslyn, flushing red with embarrassment at being called out like this, "Since you are unattainable for me, I figured not to cause myself pain by being close to something I could not have, but still desired anyway."

"That is a fair way of seeing things," muses Katryn, "However, I have a proposal for you. Part of the Gift of Urth lets those with it drain blood of others to replenish other magical power and heal ourselves in addition to acting an additional form of
sustenance
. While we can drain our target dry, we can also limited ourselves to non-harmful amounts and heal the blood loss that we have inflicted. If you were willing to let me try some of your blood, I would sleep with you in exchange."

"And is there any drawback to this?" inquires Roslyn as while she is sorely tempted by Katryn's offer, she is wary of letting her blood be drunken.

"You would have to trust me not to drink enough to harm you," answers Katryn, "Or maybe not in your case since you have your divine magic and goddesses to protect you. In any case, I would not drain one of your people dry of their blood or otherwise kill one. Your people would try to hunt me down and I do not fancy my chances against the Northern Demons. I would also not throw away my comfortable life as if I was to invoke the fury of your people in such a manner, mother would turn on me in order to keep their favour."

"I see," replies Roslyn, "And while I do trust you, I must still decline. I may long to be your lover, I am not interested in a one night affair. If you want to reach my summit, you will need to climb my mountains first."

"Your mountains eh?" replies Katryn with a sly smile as she gazes at Roslyn's chest, "I am not too familiar with northern slang, but I assume you are referring to those bazongas on your chest. Does climbing them mean physically getting hands on or a metaphor for something else?"

"Metaphor," answers Roslyn firmly, "You will need to make the effort of seducing me and proving your commitment before you can earn the prize of sleeping with me. Or in your case, drinking some of my blood."

"That sounds reasonable," says Katryn, "I did hope that you would hold true to the stereotype of northerners being willing to casually sleep around, but I guess you can't all be like that. I can't say that I don't like the idea of a chase. The best things are ones that you have earned the hard way. Still, there is a slight problem?"

"And what would that be?" asks Roslyn warily.

"As you have noticed, my preferences are towards men rather than women," explains Katryn, "When I offered my body up to you, I planned to use magic increase my lust like Mum does so that I don't get who I sleep with so long as I get lain while the magic is active. But if I am to make a campaign of seduction against you, then a different method is in order. Give me a day or two and I shall begin to climb your mountains Roslyn."

With another deliberate shake of her chest in a successful attempt to draw the involuntary attention of Roslyn down there, Katryn strikes away with a smug smirk on her face, leaving Roslyn to wonder just what she has gotten herself into.

Lowland Romance - Part 2
Lowland Romance II
Roslyn watched the slaves as the two men and the woman toiled away in the field on one of the farms bordering Caermyr. Of all the horrible and uncivilised things that the barbarians of the lowlands did, slavery was the worst in Roslyn's opinion. The lowlanders indulge themselves in wanton warfare, unfairly favourable treatment of men, no regard for proper organisation or structure and even show little respect for the divine, but their willingness to treat other people like mere animals or even just property what makes things almost unbearable for Roslyn.

The rest of it she can tolerate even if she plans to go back north to Greenbay in a few years, but seeing how the slaves are treated is almost a deal breaker for the Arthrynite priestess. If she hadn't promised the goddesses that she would spend several seasons in Caermyr to help improve relations between the Colryd and the Arthwyd, Roslyn would have already left the lowlands out of disgust for all of the slavery.

Instead she just has to tolerate this most barbaric practice. Roslyn longs to avoid it as much as she can, but it is hard to as it is everywhere in Caermyr. In fact, Caermyr's position as a local focal point for trade makes it worse as you get many lowlanders both from within and outside the Colryd to see if they could sell some of their slaves or purchase new ones.

Vervov's Boars, Katryn had even gifted Roslyn with a slave. While she had made it clear to her would be lover where her feelings stood on the matter, Roslyn still took Morwynna as her personal slave girl. She didn't want to, but Roslyn knows that the poor girl would suffer a worse fate than being Roslyn's slave if the priestess declined Katryn's gift. Barely over eleven winters old, Morwynna is a frail and weak girl by the standards of the People and Roslyn cannot help, but mother the poor girl. Taken captive in a raid by Colryd warriors, she lost her family and freedom on the same day and has no one left and no where to go.

Roslyn vows that when she does return to Greenbay, she will take Morwynna with her except the poor girl will be her daughter rather than her slave. Right now, Morwynna serves as a loyal slave girl, eager to help out her mistress where she can if only out of a desire to avoid the displeasure of the foreign priestess.

"Greetings Roslyn!" says Katryn as the Daughter of Urth strides up to Roslyn, catching the attention of the Arthrynite priestess and all three slaves through the latter quickly turn back to their work as Katryn is only able to retain Roslyn's attention.

"Hello Katryn," replies Roslyn fondly, eyeing the bouncing breasts of her courter, having given up the pretence of not finding Katryn highly attractive anymore.

Thanks to their high profile presences in Queen Eira's court and Katryn making no attempts to disguise or hide her campaign of seduction, their budding romance is well-known throughout Caermyr and perhaps beyond thanks to the settlement being a bustling trade hub.

While it could have been a scandal and it would have certainly been one if they were two regular lowlander women, Katryn's status as a Daughter of Urth and Roslyn's status as a Northern Demon Priestess has instead made into it into romantic tale between two exotic and mysterious women. Roslyn is glad that no one is causing trouble for them, it also irks her that many who fetishise their female-on-female relationship as something romantic and desirable thanks to their exotic nature while they would happily beat two regular lowlander women in a relationship with each halfway to death, if not all the way.

Despite Roslyn's initial concerns, Katryn is treating a potential relationship between them with the seriousness that it deserves. While she might have treated it as a one-off fancy or a temporary relationship, Katryn seems to have embraced the challenge of seducing Roslyn and seems to have genuinely fallen in love with her. At the very least, Katryn will ogle her body and lust after her like most men do.

Today, Katryn is wearing a more provocative outfit as she wears a leather skirt that barely goes halfway down her hips while the only attire on her upper half is a golden necklace with an emerald while she wears bracer-like bracelets with a trio of sapphires embedded on each other.

Wearing nothing, but a leather tunic alongside a fur cloak now that it is getting colder, Roslyn feels plain compared to Katryn.

"How are you today?" inquires Katryn as she reaches Roslyn, throwing an arm around her and Roslyn doesn't resist as her lover pulls her closer so that their bodies are resting against each other.

"I am fine," answers Roslyn, enjoying the warmth of Katryn's body, "I have just been thinking about home and how long until I wish to return to it."

"You are planning to leave?" says Katryn is what is suppose to be a calm voice, but Roslyn can hear the slight hitch of worry and perhaps fear.

It is that reaction that makes Roslyn decide to go with something she has been thinking about for the last few days.

"Not anytime soon," Roslyn reassures her, "I plan to stay for at least two winters, but I don't know if I will remain for any longer than the bare minimum for that. That said, I do believe that is something we ought to discuss regarding our future."

"Oh," says Katryn before brightening up, "I know just the place. It is perfect for private talks and activities and I got it reserved for us for about half of the season now."

***

"So what is this place?" asks Roslyn as she follows Katryn into the mud hut on the outskirts of Caermyr.

The building is old and aged, but despite that, it is has been clearly looked after and kept mostly fit for living in even if there are signs of no one living here for a while.

"An old fisherman's home," answers Katryn, "He died earlier this season and his son didn't want to keep it. I got informed by a friend that it was for sale and I brought it so we could have a private place for ourselves."

"I see," says Roslyn as the Arthrynite priestess calls upon the magic of the All-Seeress, "Kat, for this conversation, I am going to use the magic of the All-Seeress to check that you are telling the truth. If you have a problem with that-"

"I don't," interrupts Katryn, "Given what this conversation seems to be addressing what I think it is Ros, I understand why you feel the need to be certain."

"Thank you," replies Roslyn, "Now the big question first off, do you love me?"

"I think that I do," answers Katryn without hesitation, "And I want to. Not just fornicating with your sexy body even though I do really want to do that as well, but I wish to spend more time in your company in general. You are a foreign weirdo, but you are a cute and kind foreign weirdo that I have grown fond of. I don't know if I want to spend the rest of my life with you yet, but I do want to spend at least a few more winters with you, preferably with you warming my bed."

As the goddess confirms to Roslyn that Katryn is telling the truth and none of her words are lies, she grins as she makes up her mind.

"Kat," says Roslyn, "Would you like to finish climbing my mountains and reach my summit?"

"If you mean making love to each other here and now, count me in," replies Katryn beaming at her newly declared lover.

"I do," confirms Roslyn as she smiles back before she remembers something, "Wait, would you like to drink my blood first? I said you would need to seduce me and prove your commitment first and you have done so."

"Maybe at a future date," replies Katryn, "I do want to, but that is more out of curiosity and trying new things than anything else. Right now, I just want to get naked and intimate with you. It doesn't have be sex, even through I do really want to do that now as well, but I just want to get hug, kiss and grope you."

"I am happy to do that," answers Roslyn, "But I must admit, you didn't seem like you were into this sort of thing when we first met."

"That would be because I wasn't Ros," admits Katryn as she takes her skirt off, "I originally was only attracted to men, but after you challenged me to a game of seduction, I used blood magic acquire an attraction to my own sex."

"How is that possible?" exclaims Roslyn as Katryn takes offer her bracelets.

"Via blood magic," answers Katryn as she takes her necklace off, "There was a wealthy patriarch whose daughter held an attraction to women like you do. I used blood magic to steal that aspect of her and I then used blood magic to copy over my own attraction to men to her. I got to be attracted to women like you, the daughter got to be attracted to men instead of women and her wealthy and influential father is grateful to me and in my debt."

"I see," replies Roslyn, barely keeping from frowning at Katryn's words.

It sounds like a happy ending, but something about it feels wrong to Roslyn. That sort of thing shouldn't happen and it wouldn't have happened amongst the People. But while they can be nice, the Colryd are still barbarians and it shows through at times when they do things like that.

"Hey Ros," says Katryn, snapping the Arthrynite priestesses out of her thoughts, "May I undress you?"

"You may," answers Roslyn, deciding to ignore the slavery, the unfair treatment and the other barbaric practices of the Colryd as she prepares to enjoy losing her virgin to her first love.

Origin of a Paladin
Evatine doesn't bother to refrain from glaring as she is displayed naked amongst the other slaves in the marketplace. She will almost certainly get beaten for it, but she has taken physical pain many times before and they will just heal her up with the magic of their heathen goddess rather than let their product get damaged.

It will just be pain and Evatine can deal with pain, considering preferable than submitting to her captors anymore than she has to. It is growing close to the start of her first winter of captivity and she remains defiant.

Even through she is now offered before them as a slave, Evatine is not one of these northern curs. She was born amongst the People, the chosen of the great and mighty Nalnir. Her father was a warrior of one of the eastern villages and so had the men of his family for generations. Both of her were trained to be warriors and in a shocking defiance of tradition, so was Evatine at the orders of the lords of the east.

While a girl like her wasn't told what was going on, Evatine was able to pick up enough by listen to her father rant and the gossip of her brothers. The problem was the goddamn Arthwyd and how the king and the high priests and high lords were refusing to beat the teeth in of the 'Northern Demons'.

Instead they were choosing to expand and prepare for the future war with the Arthwyd rather than pushing north against those with false claims of superiority. According to her father, there was no need for such a thing as since the People were superior to any others, they could just march north and crush the Arthwyd.

The eastern lords planned to rise up and overthrow the cowardly high priests and high lords, training up their warriors, including women and girls like Evatine so that they would have the numbers to take on the craven rulers.

But it was not to be. While the new warriors such as Evatine and her brothers were still being trained, the king, the high priests and the high lords discover the plots of the eastern lords. The fighting began before the eastern lords were ready and the uprising was crushed.

Her father was killed in the fighting while the eldest of her brothers, only one of the two old enough to fight, was injured. When the victorious warriors came for their family, brothers were taken to the capital to serve in the king's army while Evatine and her mother were sold into slavery.

Evatine never saw her father and oldest brother again after they rode to war while the last time she saw her mother and other brother was when she was taken into captivity. Taken into captivity, she given to a northern lord as a reward for his service in the rebellion while her brothers would end up in Final Hope and her mother went who knows where.

Not old enough to serve as a labour for him and disgusted by a girl being trained in the arts of war, Lord Graen decided that Evatine would be most useful him being sold off in the City of Rivers and Trade for some valuable metal tools where her exotic nature as a member of the People would fetch a higher price.

While the Arthwyd traders would never sell directly to the People, the riverlander savages had no such qualms about trading with the People. The riverlanders would act middle-men as the Arthwyd would trade metal tools to them and then the riverlanders would trade those metal tools onto the People at a higher price.

Four metal axes, three metal hoes and three metal spades. That is what Lord Graen sold her for and the fact that she has a price that she is worth makes Evatine fume. She defied her captors, she defied Lord Graen and now she has defied her captors, acting unruly and disobedient and scaring off would-be buyers.

As she once again remembers that the upcoming winter will not only be her fourteenth, but also her first as a slave, Evatine channels her frustration and despair into a righteous rage, letting out a snarl at a pair of bypassers.

Standing in the middle of five slaves with two to her left and three to her right, Evatine sees the closest of them flinch at her fury and while she would like to think it is fear of her, she knows well enough by now that their captors will punish Evatine and maybe the rest of them for that.

But Evatine doesn't care. She is of the People, the chosen of the great and mighty Nalnir and she will not be broken by the savages of the riverlands and the far north.

A woman speaks from nearby, talking in one of the savage tongues that Evatine doesn't understand. She tries to turn to see the speaker, but one of her captors grabs her by the neck, holding her in place. Evatine spits, but the woman is stronger than her and the defiant slave girl cannot do much against her grip, nothing meaningful at any rate.

The leader of her captors says something, presumably speaking back to the woman and Evatine feels some satisfaction at the slight hint of desperation in his voice. The woman replies back to the man in an amused voice and the fact that the woman finds her defiance to be funny infuriates Evatine.

Held there in place by her captor, Evatine glares at the Spawn of the Accursed One as she walks into Evatine's view. The long black hair and red eyes are distinctive of her ilk as is her oversize bosom, but unlike what all the rumours about her kind have told Evatine, this one is dressed modestly as her barbarically large chest is covered up.

"May Nalnir feast upon your bones monster," curses Evatine, speaking in the tongue of her people as it is the only language that she knows and spits at the woman.

To Evatine's anger, the woman continues to be amused by her defiance as the forester Spawn just grins at Evatine, treating this as one big joke. She says something in her barbarian tongue to Evatine's captors before turning her attention back to Evatine.

"Hello girl," says the Spawn of the Accursed One, shocking Evatine by using the language of the People, "I am Katryn."

***

Evatine peers around the longhouse curiously. The building is well-constructed and long after. There is a bed in the corner and the majority of longhouse is taken up by tables and pots alongside strange metals and other materials that Evatine doesn't recognise.

Her new owner, Katryn, one of the Accursed One's descendants and the daughter of the Queen of the City of Rivers and Trade. She is odd and in many ways, Evatine is afraid of her. She finds her defiance to be amusing and enjoys her resistance to being a slave while also being strong enough to bodily manhandle her with ease. Beyond that, Katryn is also a powerful magic wielder and Evatine has no idea what she is capable or what her limits are.

And now Katryn has left Evatine along in her home, a longhouse full of riches and valuables. Evatine doesn't know why her new owner has done it, but it is showing a lot of trust in her and Evatine is determined to abuse that trust.

Looking around, Evatine decides she could knock over all of stuff lying around, but as she sees some jugs of liquid, Evatine decides that since she is feeling quite thirsty, she will help herself to some of Katryn's drinks.

Grabbing one of the jugs, she gulps down the contents, an amber liquid. She almost spits out the foul tasting liquid, but Evatine is thirsty enough to tolerate its taste. It also makes her feel nice as while she can't put her finger on it, by the time that she has downed the entire jug, Evatine feels more relaxed.

Dropping the jug on the floor with a thud, Evatine reaches for another jug and peers inside to see that it has more of the amber liquid. Despite its horrible taste, the magical liquid has made Evatine feel better than she has in seasons and she decides to drink the second jug as well.

Tossing the second jug aside once it is empty, Evatine stumbles backwards, feeling both tired and happy as her vision is blurred and she has trouble moving right. While she grins for some reason she doesn't understand, Evatine decides to go for a third jug even though she really shouldn't.

***

Evatine groans as she wakes up, a bad headache besetting her as she feels like someone is taking a hammer to her skull. Sitting upright, she freezes at the sight of Katryn's red eyes as she looks at her owner.

"I would be mad, but I am just glad you drink anything harmful," says Katryn in the tongue of the People as Evatine silently panics, "I don't stock anything like nightleaf, but some of the stuff I got stored could harm someone like you. I suppose I ought to have expected something like this. I knew you were a troublemaker, someone unbroken and free in spirit even if you had been made a slave."

As Evatine silently panics, Katryn just smiles and places a hand on Evatine forehead. Evatine blinks as she feels her headache going away and her body feels less off.

"There," says Katryn as Evatine tries to figure out what happened to her, "I could leave you with the hangover as punishment, but I don't want to be your enemy. I may have purchased you, but that is because I saw what fate you would be ending up with if you kept your attitude.

You may be young now, but once it becomes clear you can't be trusted in the home or field, then you can only be left with a task that doesn't require your willing participation. In a winter or two after this current one, you will be old enough that they would give up on trying to sell you and break your spirit and just use for fornication, selling your body to men who want to sleep with a woman that night and are willing to pay to do so. That is why I freed you, to help you avoid that fate."

Evatine is still and quiet as she digests that information. She never thought of that outcome before Katryn brought her, but now that it has been pointed out to her, Evatine is horrified that how things would have ended up for her.

"There are two options," says Katryn, "If you want to be free and live your own life, I can send you to the Arthwyd to live amongst them as they do not have slaves. However, I can keep you as my slave and let you live a life here. You won't have total freedom, but my position means that you can live a good life and potentially with more options than others. I am even willing to take you as my student. With the passing of Ros-of my wife, I have some free space in my life and I am willing to fill it up with you if that is what you wish."

"You married a woman!" exclaims Evatine before she can stop herself, shocked at the depravity of these savages.

"Yes, I did," confirms Katryn with a smile, "It was just a fancy at first, but my lovely Roslyn wanted something with commitment and made me chase her before she would return my affections. So I used blood magic to make myself attracted to women in addition to my natural attraction to men and I seduced her. I consider that the best decision of my life as Ros and I had a loving relationship. Alas, I am immortal and she was not and she declined my offers to making her immortal."

"You can make people gay and immortal!" yelps Evatine, unsure of whether to be horrified or disgusted or disbelieving at such a claim.

"I can spread the Gift of Urth to other women," explains Katryn, baring her fangs, "Roslyn has been the only one I have been willing to do that to. As for attraction to women, I can use blood magic to change the attractions of a person. You see those canteens over there? Drink from the right one and you too will be attracted to women. Speaking of which, don't go drinking like you did yesterday again? You don't know what you are drinking and what it will do to you. Some of it is harmful and some of it is irreversible and those two things aren't necessarily exclusive."

"Are you attracted to me?" asks Evatine, wondering just what this monster thinks of her.

"You are too young," answers Katryn without hesitation, "If I was to love you, it would be as a daughter. I would not love you like a wife until you are older. If you are willing to wait a few winters, we can explore that possibility, but not right now. It isn't just an attraction to women that I could give you. Amongst other things, I could change the colour of your hair or eyes and I could give you some mountains, but those things aren't the sort of thing that can just be removed once added."

"Oh," replies Evatine before thinking about what to ask the Spawn of the Accursed One.

She doesn't want to live amongst the goddamn Arthwyd and the ones who set in motion that events which cost Evatine her home, her life and her entire family. She does want to be a warrior like she was being trained to, but that is improper for a girl like her. Yet these savages do improper stuff if Katryn is telling the truth about making herself gay and marrying another woman.

"I want to be a warrior," says Evatine, "But not amongst the Arthwyd. I don't want to live with them."

"I can arrange that," replies Katryn, "I have enough sway amongst Mum's court to get you some training with the Royal Guard and if I have to, I can just offer to sleep with the right people or provide some magical services to get things sorted out. I will still keep you as my slave for now as that will give you more protections and freedoms than actually freeing, but you should be able to start your training by the start of winter."

"Thank you," Evatine tells her new mistress and to her surprise, she finds herself genuinely meaning her words, "Thank you."

***

"You have a guest," says Katryn as Evatine enters their shared longhouse three winters after she started her training.

"I do?" says Evatine, the young woman confused as she hadn't invited one nor was she expecting one.

It has been many seasons the girl arrived in Caermyr and she has seen blossomed into a talent young woman. As Katryn made good on her promise to get her training with the Royal Guard, Evatine has devoted her life to being one of Queen Eira's personal warriors. While she remained Katryn's slave for the duration of her training, Evatine got her freedom upon joining the Royal Guard when she completed her training. Despite being able to go and live somewhere else, Evatine chose to live with Katryn as she was already accustomed to calling the Daughter of Urth's longhouse home.

Evatine also loved Katryn and enjoyed living with her even if she couldn't figure out just how she loved her former owner. Katryn wasn't a replacement mother for the one she lost so long ago, but Evatine wasn't a replacement for Roslyn either. Evatine's relationship to Katryn was neither wife nor daughter and the closest that Evatine could think of was that Katryn was like an aunt to her.

Evatine looks at the two people occupying the longhouse prior to her arrival. She recognises both of them as one is Katryn and the other is the familiar form of Vryn, a regular visitor to Katryn and one of the few Arthwydish that Evatine is okay with calling a friend.

Vryn looks like a stereotypical Arthwydish women. With a curvy figure, a muscular yet lean figure with blue eyes and brown hair doesn't go past her shoulders, Vyrn looks like she is in the middle or late twenties, but from what Evatine knows of Arthwydish lifespans, she is almost certainly older than she looks thanks to slower aging of the Arthwydish.

Evatine muses that she has changed a lot since she came to Colryd. Not only has she become an actual warrior as a member of the Royal Guard, but she has rejected her old life in favour her new one. She has rejected the Forluc in favour of the Colryd and has forsaken Nalnir just as he has forsaken her.

She has even taken Katryn up on her offer to use blood magic to change who she is. Nothing major as Evatine has kept her old eyes and hair colours, but she has given herself a bit of height and widen her hips a bit and as a way to signify her abandoning her old life and people, Evatine choose to give herself the ability to be attracted to women.

She doesn't have a female lover in mind or any lovers in mind at all, but Evatine want to do something that would have never been acceptable amongst the Forluc. Just as her being a warrior would have never been acceptable and the Forluc would not have tolerated a female warrior, they would not have tolerated her being in love with another woman.

"Hello Evatine," says Vryn, "I am wish to make a request to you."

"Oh?" replies Evatine, unsure of what she has to offer the Arthwydish woman.

"I want you to help my People prepare for their upcoming war with your birth people," says Vryn, earning herself a frown from Evatine, "They are simply not ready for such a thing and while that might change, it will cost countless lives, both of my people and the Lowlanders who side with them such as your fellow warriors amongst the Colryd."

"You want me to help the Arthwyd against the Forluc!" exclaims Evatine, shocked at such an idea.

"You have no loyalty to either of them, but you do have loyalty to Queen Eira and the Colryd, who will side with the Arthwyd against the Forluc," continues Vryn, "When the Forluc march north to invade the tribes of the north in order to reach the Arthwyd, the Colryd will fight alongside the Arthwyd against the Forluc. The All-Seeress predicts that this war will take place within your lifetime as the leaders of the Forluc cannot put it off any longer than that."

"None of that explains why I should help the goddamn Arthwyd of all people," says Evatine, glaring at Vryn.

"The Arthwyd cannot stand against the Forluc as they are," replies Vryn, "The Caradysh have promised their aid and while they will probably honour that promise, the Forluc have eclipsed them militarily and are eclipsing them in other ways. The Colryd have grown greatly in power under the reign of Queen Eira and their friendship with the Arthwyd, but they are still unable to take on the might of the Forluc. That might change with a few more generations, but the Colryd don't have those generations with which to grow. Right now, war is coming and the nature of the situation means that the Colryd will be doing the most bleeding due to their proximity to the Forluc. Caermyr will almost certainly burn."

Evatine wants to rebut the words of Vryn, but she is smart enough to see that Vryn speaks the truth if the predictions of the All-Seeress are true. Should war come soon, the Colryd will still be too weak to take on the Forluc and their closer position to the Forluc will mean that Caermyr will be taken and pillaged while her and the Royal Guard will be slaughtered and Katryn and all of the friends she has made here in Caermyr lose their homes.

"What can I do to help save Caermyr?" Evatine asks Vryn as she and the Arthwydish woman lock eyes.

"Become my Champion," answers Arthryn.

Divine Welcome Party
With some time to herself, Evatine takes some time to check out her new body. It has been a few days since she arrived in Greenbay and it was only a few days before that she received Arthryn's Blessing. While she has had opportunity before, Evatine was still adjusting to the changes, both to her body and her path in life, and just to take the opportunity to see what her body is like.

Evatine appreciates the body that Arthryn has given her and in particular, the physical prowess that it gives her. Evatine considered herself fit and strong while she was non-blessed and a part of the Colryd Royal Guard, but that is nothing compared to the might that Arthryn has given her. Evatine had always thought that the Arthwyd were trumping up themselves and their goddesses whenever they crowed about their divine blessings, but now that she sees that there is a lot of truth to their words even if she still believes they do still exaggerate a little.

For all they go on about the beauty that the blessing gives them, that is the least interesting part to Evatine. Instead, she finds the mental changes and the other physical changes to be the most interesting.

The first is the improved physical strength and toughness. The Blessing of Arthryn grant greater innate strength and endurance to those with it and while Evatine appreciates that as someone who has devoted their life to being a warrior, she finds the improved toughness and resilient of the Arthrynite Blessings to be the most interesting.

Between Arthryn and Ymarn, it is so much harder for the Arthrynite Blessed to die. Evatine doesn't just refer to not getting killed by their enemies in battle, but the Blessed are not only more resistant to getting diseases and injuries, but when they do, the recover from them faster and survive them far more often than those without the Arthrynite Blessings. If only for the reduced chance of an illness or a bad injury killing her, Evatine would go for the Blessing.

Yet it isn't just injury and illness that the Arthwyd are superior at dealing as the Blessings make them better dealing with ageing. Thanks to the Arthrynite Blessings, the average Arthwyd lifespan is almost double that of their neighbours. Back when she was in Caermyr and a member of a Royal Guard, Evatine only expected to live until sixty unless Katryn shared her Gift with Evatine, but now as the Champion of Arthryn in Greenbay, she would be surprised if she doesn't make past a hundred.

When she thinks about it further, the fact that the increased healing ability and general resilience to harmful effects of the Arthrynite Blessings reducing how quickly the Arthwyd age is intriguing to Evatine. It has some interesting implication about how ageing works and how beneficial it is if the Divine Blessings of the Arthwyd treat it as something harmful.

Next is the improvements to her mind. The Arthwyd are surprisingly silent on this given how they like to boast about their divine blessings, but Evatine supposes that they simply don't realise it exists. She has only noticed the improvements due to them being changes and not something she had her whole life. If someone was born with them and had them their old life, she doubts that they would notice them.

The mental improvements just make her mind sharper and clearer as things come to her more easily, she can remember things better and she is able to plan or figure things out in her head with greater ease. In many ways, the improvements to her ability to think is the thing that Evatine values the most alongside her increased lifespan.

And then there is the beauty. While the Arthwyd consider large curves, muscles and height to be beautiful traits and have spread that belief to their neighbours quite thoroughly, that standard of beauty isn't shared by all. Evatine's birth culture didn't have any Arthwydish views on beauty and the Forluc valued black hair and brown eyes as beautiful traits with muscular men and slim and slender women being considered attractive.

While Evatine never met the Forluc concept of beauty, her Blessed body is the embodiment of Arthwyd beauty. She has a well-built form with large and defined muscles while she is also tall, even taller than the height that Katryn gave her via blood magic. As for her figure, it is curvy as one can get. Evatine had gotten Katryn to give her some wider hips than she was born with, but that more to make any future childbirths easier than out of a desire to look pretty. Now her hips and bottom are bigger than she had them before and Evatine can't say she has a problem with that fact.

Then there is her chest. While Evatine herself had always had a flat chest like a man prior to getting blessed, she spent the last three winters living with the very busty Katryn and she was no stranger to what it was like to have a large chest thanks to Katryn being a carefree talker. Now Evatine had a chest equal to Katryn and she still isn't sure about how to feel about. On the one hand, she won't have as nearly many troubles as Katryn as her breasts are supported by Arthryn's divine power via her blessing and Evatine won't need to worry about them getting in the way of physical activities as the Blessing of Arthryn lets her shrink them to a more manageable size that doesn't get in the way.

That is apparently a common thing amongst the Arthwydish women. While they glorify having a large chest, they are smart enough to shrink for when they so physical labour and then leaving them large when they are not working or are socialising and relaxing. Evatine is different to them in that regard as without the idolisation of large breasts, she leaves her own in a smaller size, even when she isn't working.

"Mind if we swing by for a talk?" asks a woman from inside Evatine's home and she jolts upright to see who has broken into her new home.

The speaker is just standing leaning against the wall while another woman stands next to her. The first woman reminds Evatine of Vryn-of Arthryn as she stands there. The main differences is her curvier figure, her younger appearance and her more revealing clothing.

The second figure is the most beautiful woman that Evatine has ever met with the largest figure that she has seen that remains in proportion to the rest of her body. While muscular, the body is slim and slender and she has long blonde hair that flows down to her bottom to go with her blue eyes. Despite apparently being modest and concealing, her clothing doesn't actually do anything to hide her beauty and if anything, it emphasises it. Looking about the same age as Evatine, the woman has a distinctive set of cat ears on the top of her head while a furry gold tail flicks back and forth.

Wyrn, Goddess of Stories, Trickery and Arts, and Bronwyn, Goddess of Beauty, Love and Repentance, are standing in her home.

"I don't think I could stop you," replies Evatine slowly as she sits upright, wary of her divine visitors.

She may be the Champion of Arthryn, but Evatine doesn't fancy her chances against two goddesses and certainly doesn't want to antagonise either of them.

"We aren't here to hurt you," says Wyrn, "Just want to have a friendly talk about your future."

"I know what my future is," retorts Evatine, "I am going to reform the Arthwyd military so they are capable of holding their own against the Forluc in the upcoming war and most likely lead them in that war. From what I have seen so far, they are solely in need of such reforms."

"War will be a major part of your life, but it shouldn't be the only major part of your life," replies Wyrn, "War won't bring you happiness or comfort and devoting your life to war and war alone will result in a tragedy."

"Wyrn wants to help give you a happy ending," adds Bronwyn, "I wish to help you with your love life."

Giving Wyrn a quick glance, Evatine turns her attention to Bronwyn and says, "While I appreciate your desire to help, I am not interested in romance. It would be too distracting from waging war if I am to deal with a husband, pregnancies and children."

"Who said anything about a husband?" replies Bronwyn, giving Evatine pause as the Champion of Arthryn always assume that if she was to get into a relationship, it would end in marrying her husband, "You may have done it as a way of ending your ties with your old life in favour of your new one, but you can fall in love with both men and women. The former can get you pregnant, which is something you wish to avoid, but if you were to engage in a relationship with another woman, you wouldn't need to worry about getting pregnant."

Evatine thinks about that for a moment as the Goddess of Love is correct and that if she was to engage in an relationship with a member of her own sex, she wouldn't risk getting pregnant by accident. Fearing that it would get in the way of being a warrior, Evatine has privately decided to forsake any romantic relationships, but with this new option pointed out to her, she isn't so sure about that decision anymore.

Evatine wonders why this never occurred to her before and as she realises why, she closes her eyes and lets out a huff of annoyance. She may have chosen to abandon her Forluc origins and while she may have done that intellectually, she still retains some of her old biases sub-consciously. A relationship would have never been acceptable to her while she was growing up and even after forsaking her old life, that belief has struck with her without Evatine even realising until now.

Letting out a deep breath, Evatine opens her eyes again and looks at Bronwyn, asking, "Do you have anyone in mind?"

"Right now, Wonlyn, granddaughter of Cadlon Gwynlyn and only two winters younger than you, seeks to court you," answers Bronwyn with a kind smile at Evatine, "Unlike you, her tastes are limited to women and she has set her eyes on you. I personally think that the two of you would get along great. While neither of you could follow the other's path in life, the two of you are quite similar in personality and even if you don't get romantically involved with each other, I feel that you would still end up as close friends."

"I will make an attempt or at least give her attempt a try," promises Evatine, "Is there anything else?"

"Well, I was thinking that we could have some girl time," says Wyrn, "Spend some time chatting and socialising without being disturbed until tomorrow morning. I bet you have plenty of stories to tell and I know that we have plenty of stories to tell with you."

"That and she wants to end the evening with you sleeping with one of us," adds Bronwyn wryly.

"Someone getting their summit reached is a good way to end a night," says Wyrn with a shrug, "We want to help you settled in and make here feel like a new home to you. Plus you are a very attractive woman."

"Are you into women?" Evatine asks Bronwyn curiously.

"I'll reach your summit with you on two conditions," replies Bronwyn, "One, you have some mountains for me to climb and two, you let me help you with your love life from behind the scenes. Mum won't let me do without your permission."

"I don't suppose I could get two nights for two conditions?" teases Evatine.

"Hmm, you jest, but I will go for that," muses Bronwyn, getting a slight splutter from a surprised Evatine.

"Now we got that sorted, let's break out the drinks," says Wyrn as she tosses a jug out of thin air at Evatine, who catches almost automatically.

"I would rather not get drunk," says Evatine as she peers down at the jug, suspicious that she caught the jug unassisted given how unexpected the throw was and how perfectly she pulled off catching it, "It isn't a pleasant experience and I would rather enjoy tonight and remember it as well."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure you only get half-drunk tonight at most," Wyrn reassures her cheerfully as she pulls her own jug of alcohol out of thin air, "Now let's get the drink flowing, the stories are best once the lips have been loosen by alcohol."

"Will the two of you be getting half-drunk alongside me?" inquires Evatine, but is met by both goddesses shaking their heads.

"Mum doesn't let us suffer the effects of alcohol in the mortal plane," explains Bronwyn, "The afterlife is fine, but she wants acting with clear heads when amongst the living."

"That sounds fair," acknowledges Evatine as she begins to down some of the golden liquid, noticing that it has a surprisingly pleasant taste to it, "So what do you ladies want to do next?"

"First, I want you turn your hills into mountains," says Wyrn, "Then I want to hear more about your past. Who was your first crush?"

"Well, it was this back in my birth village," answers Evatine as she takes another swig from her jug and increases the size of her breasts back to the generous proportions that Arthryn gave her, "There was this boy called Freden…"
