It is done, the project has managed too finally reach the ideal stage we had hoped too achieve. Subject 0073, properly dubbed Shadow by Maria and my colleagues, has was a perfect success.
Not only have we found his body too reach the ideal state we wished it too, recent tests have shown them to be perfectly sapient as well. Capable of speaking human language and following short orders.
They have only been out of incubation for a week at the current time, and currently they have developed into the form of their teenage years, though from what we have gathered from cell research, their cells will begin too slow down as they get older too ensure a long lifespan, possibly reaching into the hundreds of years depending on how things go.
Regarding the specimen known as Shadow's creation, I will leave the exact details out too avoid replication by anyone listening in, but I will give the details that were already publicly known.
It was through not only the study of how chaos energy work through the Chaos Emerald the United Federation gave us(The Green one, as the their other obtained Emerald was kept tightly under lockdown until we return the one we currently have) that I managed to figure out how to properly conduit Chaos Energy through his body without any risk of damage or mutations.
My thanks go out once again to the Mobian family who generously donated their DNA for his creation(Of who have requested to remain anonymous for protection, and I will respect their wishes)
Though I have given him the time to learn how to properly read and write, along with other basic things, I have started Shadow on testing how his body will respond to using the Chaos Emerald.
Despite our best efforts, he still struggles with using their powers for more than minutes at a time, whether this is due too lack of experience or compatibility I cannot say currently, though I still have faith in Shadow's abilities once he reaches full maturity. In an attempt to avoid the jeopardy the Biolizard posed too the rest of the Ship, I have reluctantly allowed Shadow too socialise with the rest of the research team, and with great hesitance... Maria.
Despite my worst fears, it overall went well, the younger Hedgehog seems to adore my granddaughter and follows her nearly everywhere, while he is not on bad terms with anyone of the research team, they don't appear to have the same bond as he does with Maria.
This is blessing in disguise, as Shadow appears to show none of the hostility his predecessor did, meaning his goal of functioning as a disease curing vaccine is very likely possible(Maria can be saved!)
Regarding Subject 0072, I have debated introducing Shadow to his... sibling, I am uncertain of how a reaction between them would go, but I know I can't likely hide this from Shadow forever. Hopefully he will take things well enough...
I have been getting a few calls from the United Federation out of concern from the public's response to the prototype, despite my best efforts, they don't seem to think my research is producing the results they are are after.(Ungrateful buffoons, the lot of them, all they do is throw money and complain when such dedicated research takes time.... )
Regarding the rest of the ARK, if things keep up, I'm sure we can finish the project within half a year I can be back home with Maria in time for Christmas, it will be a joy too interact with my family again, especially little Ivo...
Maria has been getting worse, but I'm certain we can cure her before her disease takes her, of that I am certain.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it! Fine!" He gets into a stance to brawl, looking between her and you. "The name's Sonic the Hedgehog by the way, you better remember it once I rule everything!"
She raises an eyebrow at that. "...ah, it does seem like I've heard you, the scion of Jules from the Kingdom of Acorn. The one who abandoned their duty to rob civilians and cause annoyances for your people, along with taking Princess Alicia Acorn with you on that endeavour. I did not know you had a twin."

She clicks her fingers, a large flame bursting out from them as she interrupts you and your copy. "It seems you both like to play with fire... Then how about I light up your fingers!"

Cream wasn't the kind of girl to keep secrets from her mother, she always tried her best to be a good girl, she did her chores and homework, brushed her teeth and always tried to remember her manners.
But ever since she met Amy all that time ago she had a sudden realization of how small her home was. It's not like she hated it, but hearing Amy talk about some of the places she's been to awakened a desire to explore in Cream, however she was a smart girl and as such she knew she wasn't ready to travel to the outside world like Amy, so she chose instead to explore her home island, sure it wasn't an extremly huge place like some of the ones Amy surely visited on her travels, but it's not like cream knew everything about it, so exploring it would be the perfect way to practice for her future adventures.
But her mother hated seeing her hurt, so she likely wouldn's aprove of Cream's adventuring since from what books she found on the subject in her school showed that explorers faced a lot of dangers, so Cream decided that she would train in secret, that way when she finally told her mother her plans she would be so ready that she wouldn't have a reason to be worried at all! it was genius!
The training hasn't been progressing all that well.
Cream had found a small enclosed area in the small woods near her house, and she sneakely brought a stool from her attic and a small plank of wood she found on the road, on said plank she drew an angry face to serve as a training dummy.
Her first attempt at 'defeating' her foe had her try and beat it with a stick she found in the garden (it was the closest thing to a sword she could find since she wasn't allowed to use knifes unsupervised).
"All right cheese here i go!" the young rabbit said rushing towards her dummy as her small friend floated nearby with an even smaller stick in his hands "Hyaaa!"
'Twack!' "owie!"
The moment she struck the plank her stick broke in half and hit her in the face, Cheese meanwhile made some cheerful noises as he tapped the plank with his stick.
Some tears and a bandaid later, Cream decided to try something different, one of her schoolmates was showin off a megazine to some of her friends earlier in school, in it some rabbits wearing white pajamas were breaking planks of wood with their bare hands and feet! so she tried to imitate the way they would punch the planks.
"All right, this time for sure!" She said as she reared her fist back "Hyaaa!!" she let out as her fist flew towards her 'foe'.
'Thud!' "-----!!!"
Cream crouched on the ground cradling her aching had in pain while Cheese cheerfully tapped his little hand (paw?) against the plank without a care in the world.
So good news. she was pretty sure her hand wasn't broken, bad news she was running out of ideas.
As she sat on the ground with Cheese on her head she suddenly remembered hearing something from a schoolmate that might be just what she needed!.
Her schoolmate said he saw a non mobian bird knock another bird out of the sky by diving and then striking it with its talons! and while Cream didn't like hearing about cute animals being hurt it did give her an idea, she could fly with her ears! sure she didn't have a lot of practice, but surely she could do something similar.
"Ok, here. i. GO!!" She cried as she flew towards her dummy stopping abrubtly to raise her legs for a kick!
'Twack!' 'Thud'
Cream laid on the ground, breathing heavely due to her effort, "did, did it work?" she thought as she sat up.
there on the ground was the Plank, her foe having fallen over from the kick, immediatly Cream jumped to her feet in celebration! "i did it! i did it!" she cried as she ran in circles.
Then she saw the sky, and her blood ran cold....it was dusk, She was late for dinner!!
"oh no! mother is gonna be so mad!" she exclaimed as she ran towards her home.
And Cheese, Cheese observed the plank on the ground and did as he always did, he imitated Cream.
"Chao!" he cried as he rammed the plank
'Crack!'
Said plank broke in two from the impact as the small creature flew after his friend.
Cream wouldn't find out who broke the plank for a long while.

You charge at the Evil-You, feeling that it's clear that the only way out of here is to beat up that jerk's face. Both his and your own quills connect, but yours go deeper than his. Some pain at being cut up is felt by you, but you more than double what he does to you right back!
As for the wielder of fire, her spin connects with the other you's side, throwing his body at a force and that where it connects to one of the pillars here and causes it to crack, a fire catches on him for but a single moment before dissipating. He falls to the ground in a loud thump, you worry for a moment that perhaps you two did too much damage to him all at once, but he still manages to shakily stand up, wobbling as he tries to stand straight.
...You can probably count him out now, another hit like that might even do something worse than just throw him unconscious, and he looks to be on the way of doing that himself anyways. "Lets stop." You say to... Blaze, that's what the other you called her.
As you see the beaten up Anti-Sonic you use All-Out Defense (Dodge) for a +1 to Dodge whilst trying to talk it out with Blaze.
"Stop...? After intruding on my home, the home of my late mother and father! The Imperial Palace that holds both the Sol Emeralds and the Jeweled Scepter!?"

And then, the last thing you see in this dimension beyond Blaze and the other you flying towards the ring... Is 7 coloured lights flying through the air, The Sol Emeralds.

You're all spit out, the familiar ground of the Zone you were in just this morning can be seen again as the ring behind you all form back onto the Evil-You's arm.
You feel it again, your emotions going into turmoil.
"Argh!" You grab your head as the others do the same, what then comes next is a blinding light of colours, the seven Sol Emeralds burning even more brightly than they did before as they start to float.
And float they do, as they fly higher and higher, and then bursting into 7 directions of what seems to be across the island!
The other you takes this chance to bolt for the woods, disappearing through the trees of this Zone to who knows where, leaving just you... And her alone.

The next you woke, she wasn't there.

And as you look towards the horizon, you see it, the next zone. One of stone and marble with walls that almost seem to randomly jut out, and a floor of checkered green and blue.

The Rival System! This is a new mechanic that comes from the fact that you now have two rivals competing against you on this Island (or potential allies...?).
Each rival has their own actions, that they take, much like you do with yours. There will be potential times where you meet up with them, or they with themselves or Eggman. Through the Rival System you will see who has gotten Chaos Emeralds, how much health someone has, and potentially where they currently are.
Anti-Sonic does not know of the Special Stages needed to grab the Sol Emeralds, nor the possible impending doom of both worlds, he currently works for himself now no longer having any trust in Eggman to not screw him over. Currently at -6/11HP.
Blaze does not know of the Special Stages needed to grab the Sol Emeralds, despite that she races to find them as quickly as she can. Currently at 11/11HP.
...And Eggman has no idea on the addition of Blaze and that the Sol Emeralds are here.

[x] Honestly, the last thing you were expecting for your next solo act was a world-ending crisis, and meeting Evil You! You have so many damn questions...but part of you knows that there's little time to waste. You don't know how much the visitors from another dimension know about this world, but, if you follow the pattern of the Chaos Emeralds, maybe getting rings will open a way. On the other hand, this island is quite freaky with its rules...so explore all corners, beat all the robots that appear in the way, and be wary of ambushes. So long you manage to collect the Sol Emeralds, you will probably manage to convince the Cat that you are not her enemy.
