The Spin Attack upgrade just gives it a bigger AOE by 5 yards. While useful for when we'll have to fight multiple enemies, I don't think it's quite going to come into play when we fight Blaze and maybe Scourge. Unless you think Scourge is somehow going to catch up despite being in the hard negatives and needing to recover from that, the most likely outcome here is that we're going to be 1V1ing Blaze once we deal with whatever Eggman's got at the top of this place. A 9 in dodge would be a lot more helpful here I feel.

Plus the whole maxed out Chaos Factor is still making me nervous, something is going to happen when he wakes up and I don't think it will be good for us.

Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly reasonable to be cautious of whatever Scourge might become (though given that Chaos Factor only increases as a consequence of bad ends and dead ends, I'm willing to bet he might suffer negative effects as well). But an extra 5 yards around us to attack likely won't be as helpful as a greater ability to avoid damage all together.

    [x] Alright, even though you let out that taunt to Blaze on reaching Eggman first, you couldn't miss focus on the bigger picture: help the animals on the island and stop Egghead and Anti from obtaining the Emeralds. Look at both sides first before jumping into the spring for the next area.

    [x] "Agh, what a pain in the ass all of that was," you grumble. Seeing how things went so sideways nearly made your blood boil.

    You rub a hand along your back, at the spot where that Rabbit with a weird accent shot at you. Yeah, you're going to need the rest of the day to get better from this.

    Setting yourself atop a tree, overlooking the next zone as you relax your body. Frankly, it almost amazes you just how quickly Eggman is able to completely transform areas like this. It's been, what? A month since your last fight with him?

    Heh, you can already imagine the reactions of all your friends if they saw this. All wide eyed and calling you out for your laid-back nature.

    But come on, you've already had enough of being the newbie. The one who knows nothing. There's been way too many times where giving in to that act has caused you trouble. Johnny... Blaze...

    So no more. You're no longer the random Mobian who got roped into something he has no idea on.

    You're Sonic the Hedgehog. The one stepping up to Eggman's challenge. If you don't want people to think you're an idiot...

    Then it's about time to show them you know what you're doing.


    You wake up, stretching yourself as you looked at the bright zone ahead of you. The aching no longer as prevalent as it was before. Let's do this!

    Sonic runs 10.25/??? yards along the path.

    Random Encounter #1d100 = 15. Enemies!

    1 Fish.

    1 for bloated, 2 for not #1d2 = 2. Not bloated for this round!

    You perform a Jump Dash against the Fish, as you cannot reach it on the ground #3d6 = (1+6+1) 8. Hit!

    Fish tries to fly away #3d6 = (1+6+4) 11. Fails to dodge!

    Roll for damage for Fish #1d6+2 = (6+2) 8*1.5 = 12 Damage.

    Fish: -10/2HP. Fish explodes!

    1/5 Flickies obtained.

    But even with all that thinking yesterday, your mind still goes back to it all. "Urgh, what a pain in the ass that all was. Maybe I really should learn on communicating with people." it's not like you can't ask Johnny and Porker for some advice, they're your friends after all. But... Your mind is still boiling in anger too after what happened with Blaze.



    But that thought has to be put on hold for now, as you see a new enemy in front of you.

    A fish floating through the air. Purple all over, with some spikes protruding out of it.

    Yeah, that's definitely something ol' Egghead would make. You don't think much of it though as you easily jump towards it and slice against the metal it's made of. A Flicky then flying out.

    "Yo! You little guys are way more easy to understand for me. Any advice on talking with people?"

    They give a few happy chirps in response. And though you of course don't understand what they say, you're nonetheless happy they chose to respond anyways. "You see? That's why I can always count on guys like you, waaaaay more easier than everything else I have to try to figure out."

    Sonic runs 20.50/??? yards along the path, now making a right turn.

    Random Encounter #1d100 = 95. Boxes!

    2 Ring Boxes - They each hold 10 rings to collect when hitting them.

    A machine shoots spiked projectiles at you, -3 Acrobatic to dodge #3d6 = (4+5+2) 11. Success!

    You pick up the pace as you make a right turn, keeping along this path you're going on. Smashing through boxes and collecting rings along the way. Hey what's that-

    "Whoa!" You swiftly dodge as a machine shoots out spiked balls right at you!

    Sonic runs 61.50/??? yards along the path, making another right turn.

    Random Encounter #1d100 = 86. Rings!

    You have obtained 10 rings. Sonic now has 30 rings.

    Spikes suddenly jut out from the wall, -3 Acrobatics to dodge #3d6 = (6+3+2) 11. Success!

    The wind blowing past your fur, the sound of the steps you take, the way things seem to blur as you speed right past them? You love this.

    You make another right turn, your speed not letting down, even as spikes suddenly jut out from a wall besides you!

    "Whoo!"

    You practice a twirl as you dodge the spikes, the excitement getting your heart as it beats in a grand rhythm.

    Sonic runs 102.50/??? yards, making another right turn and seeing your end in sight. You now know you are at 102.50/120 yards.

    Random Encounter #1d100 = 90. Boxes!

    Blue Shield - They protect you from 1 single hit and then disappear. They last for the duration of the Stage.

    Instinctively you tuck yourself into a ball as you see another box in your path, smashing through it as a blue shield forms around you. Then you make another speedy right turn.

    Ah, you get it now. It's all one big loop. You see the place where you started this run. This time you'll make another right turn, right towards the path you didn't go earlier.

    Sonic runs 120/120 yards, making it back where they started.

    Sonic runs 15/15 yards to the spring.

    Your eyes focus on what is at the end of this path. That's a...

    Random Encounter right before you reach the spring #1d100 = 38. Obstacle!

    Spikes suddenly jut out from the ground as you go near the spring, you ready yourself to jump with -2 Jumping #3d6 = (6+5+2) 13. Failure!

    Blue Shield disappears!

    Enhanced Move (Ground) 1 disappears!

    Suddenly the ground shakes as spikes protrude out from the ground of where you are headed! You make for a jump but realise you might be going a little too fast, unable to make a good enough leap before you fall right on top of those spikes.

    ...

    Well, you would be worried, if not for having this blue shield that is. At best, you walk away somewhat annoyed at your own lack of skill at that moment.

    Eh, best not to think too much on it. Now, onto that thing you saw earlier. "...for some reason, I'm remembering Spring Yard Zone. Who put those springs here?" You pause. "And there weren't a few springs like that back in Green Hill Zone as well? I swear having seen some like that..." You shrug. Continuing on as you get ready to jump on the spring to wherever it'll take you.

    "And a 1, and a 2, and a 3! Go!"

    You jump on the spring and go up to a new layer!

    The force goes right to your legs and reverberates throughout your entire body as you shoot right on up! A wall that extends pretty until until you grab right on the ledge, making yourself over. And...



    Whoa!

    Yeah okay. It practically looks like a giant staircase from where you're at. And plenty of Badniks to boot along the way there. You ain't got no idea on what all those things in the middle of each step are too. The walls at the sides go up insanely high too.

    You crack your knuckles, this looks like a challenge.

    Tales of the badger​

    As she walked through the ruins of her former home, the lush jungle from which she had thrived in since she was but a young Badger raised by forest animals, Sticks the Badger growled with fury, her foot firmly pressed down on one of the metal machines that harmed her forest friends.

    "You stupid bots think you can get the best of Sticks, but Sticks is stronger!!!" She roared, crushing it like a soda can(if she knew what that was) as it sparked out.

    The Brown Badger mobian taking out her weaponry as she went off on the hunt for the rest of the wretched bots that harmed her home. Someone called 'Robuttnik' leading them according to the bots themselves.

    Climbing onto the last remaining tree's(The burning of the robots by their cone shaped arms made what was once a thousand standing tree's now barely in the double digits) she kept a keen eye open for all the wretched invaders.

    A small group of them heading out, many of her younger kin with them as she snarled, clenching her fists hard enough it nearly broke the bark.

    She was not a particularly violent girl, she did her best to protect the forest that raised her, from other predators who hunted down her kin, but even so, she never truly hated anyone for it.

    But these metal monsters, who destroyed her home, kidnapped her kin, and took what she loved.

    She hated them… she hated them with her very soul, with every fiber of her being…

    'Calm down Sticks, no predator wins by being hasty.' She spoke to herself again, the mind of a predator taking over as her eyes focused.

    Her mind going too where they were, the little remnants of the burnt forest could provide potential cover for them.

    Or she could cut them off at the lake, not all of them were waterproof, but the sparks that came from it could harm the other animals…

    Looking over it again, her eyes widened as an idea came too mind, a savage grin on her face as she had too gather some vines too use, but if all paid off, finally they would be gone….

    The robotic army of Dr Ivo Robotnik buzzed as the many animals they had captured by burning down the forest was far more than they usually gained, 501% more than what they could usually gain.

    Coming by a river, the head of the robotic group beeped as it muzzed what too do, before coming to the conclusion of looking for another way too cross it entered its mind.

    Right before a trail of vines enshrouded them, catching their legs as one in the back pushed them all forward.

    90% of them hitting the water as the liquid got into their circuits, while Robotnik generally made quality robots, Sticks smirking as she smashed her leg into one of the remaining ones, its head bursting off as she chuckled.

    The girl smashing open the cages that kept her kin caged up opening as she smiled, "You're free, run!" She spoke, letting each of them go, the birdies flying, the squirrels running, the piggies snorting.

    The protector of the forest looking down at the broken invaders with one last glare, ready too leave, before a stomping sound got her attention.

    It coming closer as she saw a machine bigger than any of the rest, glaring at her as its eyes glowed red.

    "Obliterator Bot, Obliterate Badger." It spoke ominously as Sticks glared.

    "You can try and Obliterate me, but Sticks is unoblierable." Her mouth chalked up as she tried to say it properly.

    "Unabliberable, unablibera… " She paused before huffing. "You can't kill me." She spoke, drawing her weapon as she prepared for the fight of her life.

    Cause if she messed up, it would be the end of it….
