-[X] Quip: "Sorry, passing by!"
-[X] Quip: "Hope you like the way down!"

Your choices modify the stage...
Bah! What's a little fall anyways? "And up we go. Let's see you guys climbing with... with... with what do those things walk with? Wheels? Is that the name? Anyway, I wanna see any of those guys get up here!" You bark out a laugh at that. Though… "Man, how do you make a plant fight? Just how? I hope that no one have saw that. The great… Hero, that's it, killed while rescuing his friends... by a plant. Yeah, sounds nice. Veeeeery nice."
Sonic has acknowledged himself as a Hero. His personality twists as he makes that his official title.
Sonic runs 60/150 yards.
Random Encounter #1d100 = 28. Obstacle!
A tough long jump is ahead of you, as you see a floating platform of dirt and grass elavated bit far up. Okay, you can make this… "A hup… and a jump!"
Floating platform at Jumping +1 to hit #3d6 = (3+3+1) 7. Success!
You leap into the air as you see the other path far below you! You stick the landing and keep on moving!
Enhanced Move (Ground) 1 activates.
Sonic runs 80/100 yards.
Random Encounter #1d100 = 75. Rings!
As you hop from platform to platform, easily jumping from one to another you see a group of 20 rings on a bridge that connects two hills.
You have gained 20 rings! Sonic now has 25 rings.
Sonic runs 100/150 yards.
Random Encounter #1d100 = 69. Obstacle!
1 Buzz Bomber flies within the path of the obstacle.
With each hop and jump you feel the summer air hit you, feeling as free as the wind.
In the path you see a flying metal husk that looks like a blueish bee, which seems to be the only way to get to the next hill after it. But… that hill seems way too far away.
Not unless you see that hunk of junk to get there of course! And with a leap and a Spin Jump you go right at it to bounce off of it!
You use a Spin Jump to bounce off the Buzz Bomber #3d6 = (1+4+2) 7. Hits!
You're just right there!
Buzz Bomber tries to dodge #3d6 = (2+1+4) 7. Dodges!
But then it swerves right out of your path! "Oh no no no no!" You scream out as you try to instead stretch your arm out as you fly past it!
You try to grab hold off the Buzz Bomber and swing off it at -1 Acrobatics #3d6 = (2+6+1) 9. Success!
And so you do it, and swing off of the Metal Bee to the side of a hill! "Sorry, passing by!" You grab hold and trying to climb up to the top!
You try to climb up the side of a hill after swinging off a Buzz Bomber at -1 Climbing #3d6 = (4+5+6) 15. Failure!
But as you try to climb up your fingers buckle under the exhaust of having previously used all your strength just to swing off that Bee! You scream as you fall! "AAAAAAAAA-
Fall damage at… 6 yards at 11 velocity #1d6-1 = (1-1) 0*1.5 = 0 Damage.
No rings lost due to no damage taken.
-AAAAAAAaaaaaa…" Oh. That uh. Wasn't really much of a fall at all. In fact you were pretty close to the two paths converging back into one again anyways. Well that's just embarrassing, and something that nobody will ever know.
You dust yourself off, and continue onwards.
The Encounter Table goes back to how it was before the split path.
Leaping over a pit of Spikes at +0 Acrobatics #3d6 = (3+1+4) 8. Success!
But you jump over them easily enough! "Heck yeah!"
Enhanced Move (Ground) 1 activates.
Sonic runs 130/150 yards.
Random Encounter #1d100 = 14. Enemies!
1 Crabmeat.
Hm, another new type of enemy blocks your path. Eh this should be easy enough, it's looks about the same as those ladybugs! And with that you jump up and hit it with a Spin Jump!
You jump at the Crabmeat with a Spin Jump #3d6 = (2+4+1) 7. Hit!
Crabmeat tries to dodge #3d6 = (4+6+3) 13. Fails to dodge!
Roll for damage for Crabmeat #1d6-2 = (4-2) 2*1.5 = 3 Damage.
Crabmeat: -1/2HP. Crabmeat explodes!
You cut into the… Whatever the heck it is. Some animal with Claws? And free the being inside! "Aaaaaaand that's a wrap! Piece of cake!"
…damn it! "It's another plant!" Seriously! How does that even work!
Due to using a Spin Jump, your speed has returned to normal levels.
Sonic runs 140/150 yards.
Random Encounter #1d100 = 78. Obstacle!
You see a hole in front of you, you occasionally sometimes see these around, they're basically small tunnels that you can barely fit through as a ball which spit you out somewhere else.
Ah screw it, even though these things do make you dizzy, you've gotta make it to the end!
S-shaped tunnel at +0 Acrobatics #3d6 = (1+6+6) 13. Failure!
Uh oh.
You can immediately tell something is wrong as you slam at each turn that the tunnel goes through. Bam! Bam! Bam!
Due to failing the obstacle, Enhanced Move (Ground) 1 does not activate. Not that it matters right now.
Sonic runs 150/150 yards.
As it spits you out you fly and then fall to the floor, completely dazed. "O-Ooooooh man." You say as you rub your head and try to get up, you stumble your way right to the end where some… large contraption with a flat top. Pretty big too. With so many enemies and obstacles that have impeded your path on the way of this thing you could tell it must be something important at the very least. "Heh! Let's destroy this thing!" With a shout and a Spin Jump you try to cut right into it! But as your body hits the top you suddenly hear a sudden "Tick!" and steam flies out as the whole thing falls into itself. And out springs animals of all kinds as they run out!
Haha! You actually did it! Like a hero! You saved your friends! And…
No. This can't just be it right? Sure, there was a lot that came out of that. But not enough to explain all of the animals of Green Hill Zone being completely gone. This just… ain't enough.
"There's more, isn't there?"
Heck, who's to say it isn't just here? But other zones too? You know a passerby would never do this, no matter who came by they never hurt an animal.
You make a fright check as your mind grasps the situation before you #3d6 (4+4+4) 12. You don't fall into fear!
Instead of fear taking over you, anger takes over. You… can't confirm it yet. That it's happening to other places. But if it is… Then shouldn't a hero step in? Isn't that what you called yourself?
A conviction has been made! Due to calling yourself a hero, you will do as a hero does!
Rings gotten throughout the stage #1d50+25 = (50+25) 75. 75 rings!
But as you make your conviction stand true to yourself, you hear a sound behind you. And before you know it, you feel yourself being sucked in! As you see Green Hill Zone being left behind, with a giant floating ring surrounding it, the world gets weird.
Colours rapidly change all around you, you start to feel sick as your body flies all over the place. Blocks of all kinds are everywhere, and at the distance you see something that shines brighter than anything here. The brightest red that you've ever seen in your life.

"What the-?! This ain't Green Hill! Where am I?" This-this has gone way beyond you now. You can't comprehend what is happening around you as the world spins. But… "Was that thing that brought me here? It doesn't look like those things that I busted. Is that a rock?"
You can't be too certain, but you've gotta at least try to get it.
As of right now, the object seems to be surrounded by 4 walls of colourful blocks, seems like the only way through will be to smash them. Though that'll be hard considering you keep spinning from one side to another every second. "Ugh, man I'm gonna hurl at this rate!"
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing Wall 1 at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (6+2+5) 13. Failure! 1/3 of being thrown out through the Goal.
As you try to maneuver yourself towards this particular wall you instead flop about as the world itself takes you for an unwanted ride. As you see yourself creep closer to a certain blue object that flashes red at times, one that feels like it's giving you signs that you should stay away from it.
The world spins. You are now on Side 2.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing Wall 2 at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (2+2+2) 6. Success! Goal reset to 0/3.
2/3 hits left on Wall 2.
But now being on this side, you manage to get a hit on the wall! But not all the way through, seems like it'll take a number of direct hits to get through this stuff. You spin away from the wall as the world takes you along, finally getting on how you'll be able to take that object.
The world spins. You are now on Side 3.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing the Weird-Looking-Circle at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (6+3+2) 11. Success!
And as the world takes you away, you finally notice those strange things that are on all sides, circles with… A symbol on them? You know how words work, but never exactly got being able to use the line stuff.
Or really anything. That's… Something you'll need to push to the side now in terms of thoughts.
And so as you manage to swing your body towards the circle, as soon as contact is made, the world starts turning the other direction. "Woo!" Okay you think you might start being able to get this.
The world spins. You are now on Side 2.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing Wall 2 at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (5+5+5) 15. Failure! 1/3 of being thrown out through the Goal.
Nevermind, you don't get this. Everything around you is starting to look the same, as every colour here mixes and matches at a constant rate.
The world spins. You are now on Side 1.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing The Weird-Looking-Circle at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (3+6+1) 10. Success! Goal reset to 0/3.
You kick off a wall, and hit the turn circle again to go the other way. If you want to get to the Red Object, you might as well keep hitting one side.
The world spins. You are now on Side 2.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing Wall 2 at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (4+1+5) 10. Success!
1/3 hits left on Wall 2.
After flinging yourself off the strange circle, you fly forward towards the Wall you've hurt before again! Your body flies at high speeds as you lose control of yourself, and promptly hit the wall with your. Well, you've gotta hand it to yourself, at least that's one way of getting through this thing.
The world spins. You are now on Side 3.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing the Weird-Looking-Circle at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (5+5+4) 14. Failure! 1/3 of being thrown out through the Goal.

You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing the Weird-Looking-Circle at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (2+3+2) 7. Success! Goal reset to 0/3.
With the world still turning and you having just hit your face, you miss the next circle to make it come back around, but recover enough to hit the one right after. The world reverses.
This is the literal worst and you regret every decision you made that had you come to this moment. Okay not really, but your body certainly is feeling it.

You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing Wall 2 at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (1+5+3) 9. Success!
0/3 hits left on Wall 2. Wall breaks and the Shining Red Object is wide open!
You go into land on the surface of Wall 3, spin-dashing your way across it to cut it up! And when the turn hit your sharp quills stay stuck as you round the turn, making the final collision for that wall you've been bruising up all along. "Bullseye! Wait, there's no bulls here... Oh hey that's a pretty good saying I just made. Gonna keep that one for later!" you say as the blocks below you crack and then shatter into a mist! And though you try for a celebrate for a quick moment, you realize this does not mean the world stops to let you do so as it flings you away.
The world spins. You are now on Side 1.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing the Weird-Looking-Circle at Acrobatics+0 #3d6 = (1+4+1) 6. Success!
But as you fly you go past the Yellow Circle and smack it with your palm with all your might, a sharp sounds reverberates as the world turns to face the other direction.
The world spins. You are now on Side 2.
You try to Acrobatics your way in bashing the Shining Red Object at Acrobatics+1 #3d6 = (5+3+1) 9. Success!
As you fall you see the entrance you've made, and make for a grab at the thing! Your fingers stretch out as gravity pulls you near it!
A quick snatch and you've got it! Your fingers take hold of the rock-
And the world turns white…
Green Hill Zone: Act 1 cleared! Special Stage 1 cleared! Shining Red Object obtained!
And before you know it. You're back where you were before. Green Hill Zone. The destroyed contraption from before, though no animals in sight anymore.
"Yes! I did it!" A sense of accomplishment in your voice as you shout with the object in hand, held to the sky.
…Hm. Is it just you, or are you missing a few rings?
You have obtained 25 rings! (50 taken to use the Special Stage)
You feel it in your body. 25 rings compared to the 75 you had before. Was that… The requirement for reaching that place? Like an offering? And as such it was taken away from me to enter? Well, at least you have this nifty rock.
But. There is one other thing. Just one thing that you didn't take notice of before. A sign with a face on it. One with skin, some sort of thing in front of their eyes, and a large moustache.
"Huh…" Ugly looking, that's the first immediate thought that comes to your head. "A guy sticking signs of their face around? Right next to these huge metals of junk that captured my friends… So this is the person I'll need to hit in the face." You make the assumption up quickly, letting some of your frustration show.
You kick at the sign, breaking it as it falls to the ground. "Tch. Can't have that standing up right where I live."
And with that being completed… Your back hits the grassy plains, and you breathe a sigh of relief you didn't know you had. Gazing out at the sky above as the sun seems to be close to setting.
Man you are tired... You'll just… Stay here for a while…
—
Your eyes open to the night sky. It takes you a few moments before you start remembering everything that just happened.
So many hunks of junk that are holding all your friends. Ladybugs that roll. Bees and claw-things that... Actually you didn't get the chance to see what they could do. That weird but colourful world that spins all around. This red shining rock in your hands. Heck didn't you see some spikes laying around at one point?
And to top it off, some jerk that's making this all happen.
Wait. The rock.
It's not there!
It's-
Oh, it seems like it got absorbed into your body. Just like rings do. That's… Interesting. And another thing to put onto your mental list. Your eyes squint as you look at the sky before you. "Just what the heck is happening?" you exasperate to no-one.
But… You feel something else. Some other emotion other than confusion. Just what is it?
[ ] Anger. At what's happening. At this whole situation. You hate it all. It makes you want to take it all down to the ground to save your friends, and save anyone else facing this.
[ ] Excitement. As you ran through it all, and even in the puke-inducings of that strange world, you felt more alive than you ever have before.
[ ] Ignorance. You… Dislike not knowing that there are so many different things around you that you didn't know of. That you never went away from this place even once to learn it all.
[ ] Write-in.
And with that in your heart now, you think about another matter you had a brief thought about before. This… Can't be just happening here. This bad guy is straight up plastering his face on signs, he wants to be known that he's doing this.
So… What are you planning to do next?
—
And with that, Day 1 ends! When it comes to completing stages, they cost an Action to go through them. As of right now, you only have 1 Action per day. As you adventure more, perhaps you'll gain more Actions to use for a single day, along with different uses for them than just clearing stages? But that's for you to find out.
This night of thought is a special occasion for this day, and won't be appearing again until ???? starts happening.

Green Hill Zone: Act 2 (Length: 150 Yards)
[ ] Write-in. How do you wanna go about this? Now that you know some things, think about this more carefully. How do you want to go about the stage? Is there some goal in mind? Go as fast as you can to the end? Or go reach for another Special Stage? The cards are in your hands.
[ ] Write-in. Say, where are your thoughts leading you at this time? What are you thinking about?
[X] Excitement. As you ran through it all, and even in the puke-inducings of that strange world, you felt more alive than you ever have before.
I may have lost my Daredevil build, but I can still keep the spirit of adventure.
[X] As tempting as it is to go fast, part of you wonders if there's more of these funny looking rocks. Maybe try to gather some more for an offering? You don't really need many, so you can also blast away with not much worries.
[X] "Man, I was wrong about the guy who made this. He's ugly as hell! What kind of animal is even that?"
-[X] "And then there's that head. How did it stay without feathers or fur? It's shiny as a egg, man! Egg, man, egg, man, egg, man...Yeah, I'm calling that meanie an eggman! And if he has any other eggmen with him, I will kick their asses too!"
-[X] Quip: "Don't worry little guy, girl or plant! I'm busting you open! (Pause) Wait, that sounds wrong..."
-[X] Quip: "Man, kinda liking this...twink sound. Music for the ears!"
