"Urgh, what the heck?" You say with a grumble to your tone. Sure, that ring was given to Anti from Eggman, but knowing him he's probably got something up his sleeve against those that mess with his toys.

Not to mention the fact it's already malfunctioned once by taking you two to Blaze's world, who is to say it won't do it again?

Eh, you'll leave it for now. But, there is something you can do here...

You walk up to Anti, taking a good look at the beaten Hedgehog on the ground. What's with these Fakers always taking you to strange places? First it was Silver when he tricked you and pushed you into the Special Stage, and then this loser took you to Blaze's place. There better not be a third one that takes you somewhere even stranger.

Crouching down, you write some letters on the ground with your finger right next his face. You won't be here to see his reaction, but this will satisfy you for now.

Well why don't you look at that?

As much as I loved reading this, I'll be declaring it non-canon.

But, in return, I'm willing to give some details on Anti-Sonic's past. Unlike his comic counterpart he's a lot more on, let's say... The pathetic side of things.

His father and mother are still alive, and he's never killed anyone. He's as much of a newbie to his criminal life as Sonic is to his hero life. Merely a few months into it.

In fact, unlike popular opinion in the Sol world, Alica Acorn was the one who took him away to live life as a criminal, not the other way around. Take that as you will.

Always good to have an omake featuring the Freedom Fighters. Though, I do have to say you'll need to remove one thing before I can considering this canon:

"And you wouldn't, it's unique," said the apprentice exorcist. "Teacher is a descendant of this Yagyu Clan that lives in a distant land. At least she said her grandparents were."

"Indeed, and they provided us with some unique contacts to obtain resources for our business," explained Tsumugi. "We had to move many years ago, but we never truly left our land behind. From my grandparents to my dad to me. As I never had a descendant, I decided to train Ander Son here to take the mantle as an exorcist of this region once my time reaches."

Remove the mention of the Yagyu Clan being from a distant land, and that they had to move here. The populace of the Archipelago only found out the existence of there being an "outside of the islands" when Eggman arrived. The Yagyu Clan's past as such would be a lot more vague, having passed on teachings but not history.

And also perhaps tone down a little the exclamations and surprised shouts made by Ander Son if you want to, he's a very stoic, blunt, and honest figure.

One of the biggest, if not the biggest omake made for the quest. Was a lovely read from start to finish!

There are just a few things that would be needed for me to truly call in canon though.

G.U.N. members wanting to take in the young Big for themselves, but eventually allowing Pickles to take care of him due his fame as a renowned scholar.

And an overall more confrontational and unkind response by Humans towards Big, though of course those that interact with him can get close to him over time. Due to the isolationist nature of the Human part of the world, Mobians are heavily uncommon. Enough so that even seeing one can be counted as an event. So just some added/revised lines to show that kind of atmosphere.

There's no strict laws against Mobians, only informal social ones. Well, except for those suspected to come from outside of the Human "sphere of influence".

Of course, neither Dillon or Luisa stopped being alert, remembering the request she asked of him, and the meeting that resulted from it.

"Good evening, Mr Pickle, i admit we weren't expecting you to request a meeting with us" greeted the G.U.N agent, a man whose appearance was so generic with his dark suit and sunglasses that he had already forgotten his name.

Dillon didn't answer, he simply stared at the pathetic excuse for a sandwich they had left for him at the table, there was nothing fresh about it, the only thing half decent about it was the coffee that came with it.

He only answered when he noticed the agent start fidgeting, good, that'll teach him not to put such a culinary crime in front of him "I asked for this meeting because of the event that occurred a few days ago, the Mobian child I found in the wild" the agent quirked an eyebrow "oh? Is there something you might have remembered? If so you could have talked to the police, they would have informed us without needing to set up a meeting" he explains, a hint of condescention in his voice.

Dillon sighed, taking a sip of the passable coffee "no, that's not why I'm here" he put the cup down before saying "I heard G.U.N wants to take in the child"

Even through the sunglasses, he could tell the agent blinking in confusion "yes? We believe that our organization could provide the necessary care for him"

Left unsaid was how taking custody of him would allow them to study his mutation, he might not be have as much contact with G.U.N as some of his peers, but he knew there was no such thing as a purely good organization.

Nothing guaranteed Big's safety under their care.

Pickle stared the agent in eye "you're not having him" he said flatly. The agent was still for a few moments, processing what he just heard, before his brow furrowed in annoyance "that is not your decision to make, you might have found him, but you have no authority here Pickle" he said, all pretence of hospitality gone from his voice.

Dillon shrugged "true, I don't have any say in how G.U.N does things" he admitted, before standing up to his admittedly unimpressive height, staring down at the still sitting agent "but I think you forget who I am, I'm Dillon Pickle, one of the foremost experts in archeology, future professor at one of the most prestigious universities in the world" the agent moved to say something, but Dillon didn't let him "I have aided many other prominent minds in many different fields with their studies, many of said minds have lended their notes to you or are in your employ" the agent was now visibly nervous, understanding blossoming in his mind, so Dillon ended his speech "so yeah, I don't have any influence on G.U.N, but I know people who do, and I'm owed quite a few favors from them, enough to make your life quite inconvenient" he finished, and for a while there was only silence.

Moments later, Dillon walked out of the office they were talking in, he might not have been able to adopt Big, (not that he could have anyway, his life was much too busy to raise a child) but Big would be able to stay in the orphanage until he was either adopted or he became of age to fend for himself.

Seems we've hit the threshold. If or when we get to vote on that, I would like to do that plan bengalqueen had to increase our dodge. The one where we increase our HT by 1 and our basic speed by 0.5.

Our dodge becomes 9, our basic speed becomes 5.75, and basic move becomes 10.75 (21.50 when advanced movement activates). And hey, maybe bringing HT up to 11 will unlock a new technique.

Overall, lots of benefits I feel.

The Spin Attack upgrade just gives it a bigger AOE by 5 yards. While useful for when we'll have to fight multiple enemies, I don't think it's quite going to come into play when we fight Blaze and maybe Scourge. Unless you think Scourge is somehow going to catch up despite being in the hard negatives and needing to recover from that, the most likely outcome here is that we're going to be 1V1ing Blaze once we deal with whatever Eggman's got at the top of this place. A 9 in dodge would be a lot more helpful here I feel.
