Ah, yes, the wild call of the lonely Jersey. Considered one of the louder calls of the animal kingdom, she lets loose with it in an attempt to find and attract a mate.

With no return call, the lonely Jersey will huff and demonstrate minor aggressive actions until her frustration drops to a manageable level, much to the determinant of the structural integrity of any nearby lockers.

Oh great. Now I'm imagining some bored marine doing a nature documentary style video on shipgirls to help familiarize freshly minted grunts and officers with the girls and their quirks.

Hire Morgan Freeman to do the narration. Much better that way.

Those poor guys better be careful. They would probably have to chase Naka away, because she would keep jumping into frame. Have to avoid practical joke traps set by destroyers. Finally, they will be walking a thin line between nature filming and voyeurism. And that distinction might be lost on a certain redheaded Prude bote....

Speaking of shipgirl shenanigans:

I can totally see Jersey and the Taffies do something like this "for the Morale of the Troops". But it's just an excuse to rope in more friends to have fun in their downtime.

Video then goes viral and a sudden influx of voluteers baffle both Goto and Richardson.

I wonder if any video they make might not more resemble the Village People video for "In the Navy" at the end of Down Periscope...

Yamato is "Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Story", for some reason. (Still Best Bote)
I know that, but I imagine that's the 'sister' Jersey was talking about...again, everyone knows Shinano is not for lewding. I can see her finding someone like Cameron who worships the ground she walks on and thinks her little 'eep's are adorable. :)

I volunteer! I love cute girls like that. Protector and lover (mainly protector for now). In other places I assume the character of the ship boy Kentucky BB-66, the last uncompleted Iowa; perfect for escort duties.

Ooo just thought of another adopting idea:
Sent: A copy of Bugs Bunny's 1001 Rabbit Tales And 6 cases of both coke and popcorn.
To: Des Div 6, Shima, and Taffy 3

So this begs the question, how will she react to the updated Connie as seen in Discovery?

You know what this makes me think of?

Most of us have probably heard, in passing, of the new program that allows a (mostly) successful digital face swap using nothing more than a desktop PC. It's been in the news since a (now shut down) reddit thread was pointing out online porn where people had swapped in the faces of famous - and very angry - actresses.

But it goes for ANY actor! Shatner, Nimoy and the rest could live on digitally for eternity, so long as their heirs granted the right to use their faces. Hell, anyone with enough footage of the faces of the crew of TOS could easily re-edit the new movies and put the original crew back in.

Gods, the future of entertainment is going to get interesting...

Jersey: You were the conquest. Go get your sister, and it might be a fair fight next time.

I honestly cannot see Big J saying that about Shinano, whom she regards as innocent and precious and adorable. She is more mature with the Taffies than she is with the Littlest Yamato. Yeah, she curses and the like, but she's always careful to soften her words and be just a bit gentle.

Minor side note here. I regard Hiei's conduct during the wedding with regards to Hunter and Ashigara as having crossed a line. She basically left them in the lurch because it would be more amusing than helping them out when their only mistake was getting caught up in the moment and forgetting to trade digits.

Having internally acknowledged how much the universe likes to crap on Ashigara, she then gleefully takes part in helping that continue.

I'd like to see her get a little karmic justice, but my interpretation of this story tells me that is not likely.

Moving on to more current events...

I'm hoping to see a lot of ships self-summon in reaction to the loss of Hawai'i, especially with the loss of the Arizona Memorial now. I think America might be in more severe circumstances now, which may warrant more girls waking up.

Imagine every BB ever built from Florida to Wisconsin, all sailing in a battle line. :)

I assume you mean Hiei, since it was not Naka who did what I was talking about. If she did, it would be more forgivable, but there is no mention or evidence of her having done so.

Also, I did some number-crunching. If every dreadnought, super-dreadnought, and fast battleship built in America for the U.S. Navy were to self-summon right now, from South Carolina and her sister forward to Louisiana, to include the fourth Colorado, the 1920 South Dakota sisters, the fifth and sixth Iowa, etc...?

That is a combined battle line of four hundred and sixty-four guns. :o
