Not when she can turn it into a story for the Taffies. :p
Yeah, I can see this:

*Jersey and the Taffies are escorting a convoy*
Hoel: *Sighs* I'm bored.
Yudachi: Poi?
Heermann: Let's sing a song!
Johnston: *Excited* Yeah! *Sings* Puff the Magic Shipgirl...
Musashi: *laughing* I, Musashi, approve of this!
Jersey: *Scowling* I hate all of you.
*Everyone else giggles*

:D

2/10 Not enough Jersey shouting profanities at destroyers :V

I am very sure that Jersey knows about the Douglas AC-47 Spooky. She'd probably be amused to be compared to it.
Actually, that wasn't the origin of it.

Also everyone calling her that.
Taffies: Hey Puff! Time for UNREP!
Jersey: Not until you call me by my actual name.
Taffies: Puff the Magic Shipgirl? *giggles*
Jersey: EEEERRRNNNTT! Try again cockbite.
Taffies: Yes, mom...
*Jersey blushes*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Crowding: So, I see you got a new name, Puff. *chuckles*
Jersey: STFU...
Which has been applied to many miniguns over the years. Which the AC-130 has.
Oh that's where I heard of it first. But it still wasn't the origin.
I'm also thinking of some of the destroyers getting a hold of Jersey's rigging and painting dragons on the barrels. Also doing this:
*Jersey has just fired and is blowing compressed air out of her barrels*
Taffy 3: Puff!
Jersey: *sigh* I'm never going to outlive this, am I?
Everyone: Nope! :D
As long as the dragons are black I don't see why she'd mind. Besides, dragons are badass, duh.
Jersey will have a lot of 'splainin' to do when Wisky is summoned. :D Poor girl's not gonna know what's going on.
I can imagine Whisky being given the option of where to serve and reviewing the choices :
Japan- "Burning Love!! Dess!!" "Poi!" "Bring back my pants!"
West Coast- "If you're drunk, it' your own fault." "I'mmm Naakkkeeeddd!!!"
Gulf Coast- "You're back! Wanna hug my boyfriend? He's cute! Lets play cars!"
East Coast- "NARWHALS! NARWHALS! SWIMMING IN THE SEA......"
Whisky: Is Lend-Lease still an option?
Whisky: Is Lend-Lease still an option?
Sure. Australia's lead by a practical jokester, England has two of it's major ships engaging in a pissing contest, Sweden's just f*cking weird, and the Mediterranean Fleet is a hodge-podge of oddballs, some of whom are still stuck in the rivalries of the past.
...Really doesn't improve things, does it?
A privateer battleship sounds like an interesting story in its own right.
Especially when you consider that the Iowas are the final word in battleships. They can out-shoot just about anything you send after them. And if J can hold 36 knots, or about 40 mph, for six hours, you will never catch them. And she was on a shakedown cruise after being in mothballs for a decade.
35 knots, while lightly loaded. Which is a condition they will never be while fighting.
33 knots is still faster than any other battleship ever, and faster than a lot of battlecruisers. Hell, it's faster than some WW2 cruisers!
In the other hand, battleships (and most modern warships) are resource intensive. Using them will be very expensive, and even arguable if raiding anything sans well-stocked city fort, without defense, will actually gave you any profit.
Except when they run on cheeseburgers. (And in Wiskey's case, a truly unreasonable amount of pocky.)
