Eyebrows furrowing, Mutsu looked down into the box that Arizona had given her before looking up at her fellow Battleship. For some odd reason though, the twinkle in Arizona's eyes caused a shiver to run up her keel. "Um, thank you? I'm not quite sure what I am going to do with rope, but..."

Richardson stilled partway to taking a sip of coffee. Then he looked into the box and blinked before giving Arizona a look. "... You didn't."

If anything, the twinkle in Arizona's eyes increased some. "I just thought that you could use some mooring lines is all."

Several seconds passed as that trickled through Mutsu's mind before her eyes widened and she went utterly red. Her glare was utterly ineffective against Arizona as the scarred woman brought her coffee up to her lips and took a sip, smirking at her.

*tug*

*tug tug*

Mutsu: "Huh. Where did you even find 20-ton plaited mooring line made out of black silk!?"

Ari: "Amazon! I'm not even surprised anymore by what they carry. god-damned sugarfree devil bears"

Richardson: "20-ton? There's no way that tiny... ah, fairy-sized?"

Ari: "Hmhm. The 55-gallon drum should arrive in a day or two."

Mutsu: ". . . drum of?"

Moments after Ari raises an eyebrow, Mutsu discovers whole new shades of red.

Just got through rereading the story so far. Have to say that this fic is definitely something which will be enjoyable to reread over and over again. I've also noticed how Poi has been getting closer and closer to her remodel. Can't help to wonder what will be the last thing to change about her. My bet is the eyes will be the last thing to change.

Will also say that this story has gotten me both into model building and D&D.
Speaking of D&D.....

Oh, I had a question about Arizona. What does she think of Kidd, considering that Kidd was named after her commanding officer at pearl?

I think that she might mother Kidd a bit.

Also, found my Pictures of BB-35 ready to share

I wonder, How old was all the gear on Texas? Her insides certainly look more aged then the younger battleships.

Another Fletcher, Van Valkenburgh, was named in honor of her captain as well.

Well, some of her machinery could well date back to 1911 or so, and it would have been used for over thirty years before the ship was retired. By contrast, a lot of other museum battleships were retired within about ten years of construction, or at least (in the case of the Iowas) were refurbished to a fair extent when brought back to service.

Old enough that there are still casemated guns. those were generally no longer used past the early 20s.

Sorry, she's the ONLY Dreadnought design left in the world. The only older battleship is Mikasa. She got updated with things like casemates in 1926. Her apparently last annual overhaul was December 1940.

For her age, she's doing pretty good. Not Great, but considering the fact that she's over a hundred years old, that's pretty impressive, unlike poor Olympia.

I was going to post my Lexington pictures this week, but I'm going to Intrepid tomorrow, so we'll have Double CV (and SSB) action!

Got inspired when i saw @B-baka! drawing of Penpen *cough* don't shoot me *cough*....well....i'll stick to Chibi. Should've never gone hiatus on drawing, I'm getting rusty.

Penpen: Filipinos and your nicknames!
Me: Please, at least it isn't Ariri, Mumu, Jinjin or gods forbid, Richa. *was shot*
