Well yes- but while she most surely knows what she's double entendring, it would appear that she's been running around all the time shining her searchlights at people.
I believe that Jintsuu is far better know for usage of searchlights. To the point of her Night Battle line being "Assault...under the illumination of searchlights, follow me. "
She flashes in game CG too:

Well, there was the incident where a female staff member complained to her boss that this man dressed in a service uniform kept bothering her, including following her into the women's washroom. She basically told her boss that if he did not stop, she was going to leave. Just... one problem: Several of the incidents happened when her boss knew that the woman was the only one on the ship. So, knowing the stories, he went to the Captain's cabin and spoke to the ranking Officer (not using any names, just the rank), explained the problem and asking for it to be solved.

A few weeks later, the woman came up to her boss again and thanked him for whatever he had done. While she had seen her "Fellow staff member", it was only at a distance and he would nod. That was when he explained to her.
Excuse me Admiral Ghost, it appears Lt. Ghost is stalking Miss Human, would you have a chat with him about it?

*wooooooo*
die diediediedie

*random evil whispers*

It will never happen again, good to hear
...On the bright side, she will swear off Twilight forever. :p

So, two-fold query.

This is USS Hazard, an Admirable-class minseweeper, launched October 1944. She's a museum ship, who had a sister ship as a museum until bad flooding in 1993.

She earned three battle stars, and she's located in Freedom Park, in Omaha, Nebraksa. Yes, that Omaha, Nebraska. She's closer to Canada than she is open sea.

My first question (rhetorical) is, whose brilliant f***ing plan was it to put a 184 foot long, 33 foot wide, 9 foot 9 inch draft ship in a park in Omaha, Nebraska?

My second question is, how many hugs do you think it will take before she stops feeling scared that she'll wake up really far from the sea.

By the way, her sister ship, USS Inaugural, was in St. Louis, Missouri, which I can kind of understand, in that it's on the Mississippi. But why? Why put an oceanic vessel in St. Louis, or freakin Omaha?

Well, if the choices are between shipbreaker dock or somewhere far away from sea.... (At least rural kids will like her and happily gave her her hug quota).

I feel that I should point out that she's 'waterlined' in dirt. Which puts her at risk from all the flooding the Central Plains got last month.

Why put a submarine in the middle of Oklahoma?

MURICA
To be fair, we also put a decommisioned submarine inland. It was close to a river, in coastal town, but nowhere near any salt water.

And I can walk there, like, half hour on foot. :p

Central Plains usually don't get flooded aren't they? Nevertheless, yeah, that's kinda stupid. 'Make a petition' and 'Inform The Locals' are the best I can come up with.

Something I just found out which I didn't know before: USS North Carolina (BB-55) is a museum ship.
I can't help but to think that something cute would happen the moment somebody went aboard her and said that her younger sister had fell in love with somebody.

There are five submarines (USS Cobia, USS Cod, USS Croaker, USS Silversides, and U-505) on the Great Lakes. There is also the HMCS Haida (Canadian Destroyer), USS Little Rock (Cold-war era cruiser), LST-393 (Landing Ship - Tank), and USS Sullivans (Fletcher class destroyer). So it's not really as uncommon as one may think.

Well, except for U-505. Funny story about her, when they were restoring her, they contacted some of the OEM parts manufacturers looking to buy any parts they may have. Instead, the parts they needed were donated free of charge saying, "We are sorry that you have our U-boat, but since she's going to be there for many years, we want her to be a credit to German technology". Chicago built her a climate-controlled underground berth after restoring her, so she's pristine (if one ignores the shell holes in the sail).

One of these days I'm going to visit Silversides and 505, it's not far from my parent's place.

Why I'd imagine the ship horn suddenly activating on its own would happen. Or something on that order. How does a Museum ship squee anyways?

People start hearing a high-pitched sound that sounds like a cross between radio static, a feedback loop, and someone squeeing in the ship's radio room? Or perhaps whatever serves as her intercom starts acting up in that fashion?

Yes. That's exactly how I imagined it'd happen. Maybe those who've either worked on the museum ship for a long time or have worked closely with ship girls for a while might be able to more clearly hear the girl squeeing than the static and feedback loop.

Either way, it'd be adorable. Though I could imagine odd messages about being invited to the wedding would start popping up in odd places on the ship. Just imagine one of two possibilities. One, someone tries to bring Wash's older sister to the wedding, somehow.

Or two, the wedding is done where Wash's older sis is docked so she could be present. And North Carolina is done up in the Steel hull equivalent of a Bridesmaid outfit. I'd say that'd be interesting to see how one would go about doing that.

Newcomer here and I have read bits about this thread but can someone give me descriptions of the shipgirls? I kinda wanna draw em.

"...Let me get this straight. North Carolina self-summoned herself, without any sign of Abyssal activities occured around her, dragged her hull, on foot, across Midwest back-and-forth, visiting all of our major Naval Bases, again on foot, not even bother with swimming, leaving trail of destruction-"

"-Nobody was hurt-"

"-The only silver lining we have, Liutenant. Then she decides to swim into Pearl, and now she remained inert as hull in Wilmington. Somehow. All this happened under 3 days. Now. What. Happened."

"G-girlfriend...."

"Speak up Liutenant, I can't hear you."

"Washington's... girlfriend. Sir."

"...What."

"She wants to see Washington's girlfriend, Sir. Now she was satisfied, and ready to be called when she needed, but now she can sleep with light heart. Or that's what Lousiana said. Sir."

"...Liutenant."

"Sir!"

"...You will arrange the press release about this, you won't make everyone panic, you won't divulge any private and military secrets, then I gonna give you a rank up, and the night you'll accompany me for getting drunk. Is that clear, Commander?"

"Uh, I-"

"Is that clear, Commander?!"

"SIR! YES SIR!"

"Good. Dismiss."

I somehow imagined that 'sexy time' will happen if you decide to do this with your officer (I'm imagining the lieutenant is female) with screams piercing the skies the morning after.

I'm a bit confused, who's the commander and the lieutenant?

And by that I mean the USN waifus. I'm gonna try my hand on copying the designs of those with existing art with the anime-ish art design.

Indeed. A picture is worth a thousand words because a picture could be interpreted in a thousand ways depending on how the person sees the picture.
