The Kancolle english wiki has some dedicated people, but they're focused on translating a game that has no story. They're focused on mechanics and whatnot.
If you want to write an omake for Belated Battleships, you have this thread or the PMs for a sounding board, some of which actually teach this stuff. Plus sites like Navweaps or CombinedFleet.com to give you history and technical details.

On that note, is there like a character index for this story? As someone who can't keep more than five characters straight it would be mildly helpful.
I'm also in possession of a few books about the RCN so I should hopefully be covered in that front.

The problem the anime had is that it literally had 3 directors who could not agree on the story direction. And so it keeps going all over the place.
The anime also plays into the memes a little too much, but generally it's not bad.
DesDiv 6 curry competition episode is great tho. Also Episode 3 is also good. Kongou is best.

Save the DD6 episode. DD6 redeems anything.
Franchise wiki coupled with the Wiki-wiki and navsource is how I wrote most of this. I can't be bothered to play a stupid waifu-grinding game.
There's a partial list on the tvtropes page. Anyone who's not on that list has only shown up for a few lines, or in cameo form, so they're free for the taking. The only exception is a few of the stronger ships. Anything potentially game-changing (like another Iowa, Vanguard, a fleet carrier, etc) needs to be run by me first to make sure it doesn't mess up my storyline plans.

No problem. Any Omakes that I hope to be made canon will be focusing on the RCN which shouldn't interfere with what you have going on currently. As for non-canon Omakes I plan to go off the rails completely but that's why they're non-canon. Either way any links or resources would be of help.
