Arch-Demon's Eternal Game: Aeon Edition, The Turtle Chronicles

I'm on #TeamImp, I think Hail is a traitor though, he's rooting for #TeamHellbeast :V
I knew it!!!!1!!1

Out of curiosity @mesonoxian, when did your read on me and hail change to opposing teams? And who are you thinking is my buddy now?
I was never 100% on it. I mentioned before, when I am making my arguments I am not necessarily wed to a single consistent idea of how things are working, but if I see multiple bits of evidence that hint at scumminess, even if they contradict, I'll throw them in there, since somebody else may see the connections that make one compelling and another invalid. The theory that you and hail were teammates was less solid than my belief at the time that you were scum.

I know my tendency to tunnel and I am trying to give your posts a good faith reading and not immediately gloss them as if they were part of a sinister plan, but it is easy for me to get wound back up if something looks hinky. But right now I'm townleaning on you. Not strongly, and part if me is convinced it is a mistake, but when I try to step out of my Paranoia Box, I think that is most likely correct.

I have a few scum reads right now, but I have no real clue who is working with who, but you and hail just haven't felt coordinated.

Easy ones:
Tykan: town, probably dead
Byzantine: 3p, since there are no counterclaims true
Zaealix: Knight, see Byz.
Reliable: highly likely town, probably resolved

The town:
Scia: pretty good townlean, although I'd wish to see more from her. Mostly fits her behaviour in other games and she tried to do more recently.
Nictis: sadly still a good townlean, would make my search for a vote easier if he wasn't. Still missguided townie at least today ;)

The big unknown:
Wiadi: Feels a bit too performative. It doesn't feel like he's driving investigation as much as usual. Low number of reads
hailcapital: He has way too many posts for me to not have at least a somewhat solid read on him. Things I do remember right now are the push on Reliable and switching of Yun but not much else...
Mesonoxian: Very contrarian to Nictis in recent memory. Wait, not only recent memory. Hasn't done much else to drive investigation AFAIR.
Happerry: Way too quiet, I already posted earlier about what felt like almost no contribution to the game. There was the additional Mask part later on but that's nothing scum wouldn't do as well.

Sooo, I'd say there's a decent chance of 2-3 scum among that last group. Maybe even all four.

Sorry, a bit too drowsy for a more detailed list.

I'd probably go with a vote on Happerry or hailcapital today. Since it seems hail is more likely to get voted...

[X] vote hailcapital

Courtesy ping @hailcapital, you have two votes now.

Did hail ever elaborate on this btw? I don't remember him doing it.
I thought you admitted to it and said you did for wine to avoid the Voodoo Doll:
Day 2 I did make the suggestion that if I was Town, I would be a HFF. That's because of, again, the instakill item that could prevent me from actually making use of the Hell's Herald, or the two Item Erasers that could have cut that play off early.

Literally the opposite. The idea was not to get scum to Voodoo me, it was to make sure that they didn't feel confident enough to do it.

I thought you admitted to it and said you did for wine to avoid the Voodoo Doll:
Not quite. I only ever hinted or softclaimed HFF when I was doing the Herald play. What drew my eye to his comment was him stating that I had repeatedly been softing and pushing that idea, which was reinforcing your push against me but didn't actually have any citation to it outside of that.

Personally I tend to be more suspicious of people backing the accusations than the people making them, particularly if it doesn't match up.

I watched Zaealix (normal 'assuming no coins changed my target advisory) and I saw no one come to visit.

...And now that I look at that again, I keep thinking I remember someone claiming to have visited him that night, but I can't remember who and a quick thread search isn't picking anything up. Is my memory lying to me again?

I don't recall anybody saying that, but I might have missed it.

Sorry, have been dozing off while trying to read stuff. Can someone walk me through their suspicion on hail? @Wiadi and @mesonoxian?
He is the one guy with a vote that neither probably resolves itself nor is a stated gut read.

I'm working on a quick reads list for the likely case I'll turn up dead in the meantime.

Honestly, it's mostly a gut read; if I had to put some definitive things that are bugging me out there, though, then...
  1. A bunch of people have stated finding something off about his play that they can't quite place - maybe it's just Scum stirring the pot, but it at least makes me feel less like I'm completely jumping at shadows
  2. Has seemed like a pretty Towny voice but didn't take any fire N2, if we believe Zaealix (since Coins would have redirected any kills to the same target as they redirected Zaealix's guard action) - far from damning on its own but adds up with other stuff to feel weird
  3. Honestly I think one of the things that's made this suspicion so sticky for me is that there's nothing I can pin down as overtly sketchy. Normally Townies occasionally phrase things weird or push a bad angle too hard or otherwise do something that looks a bit scummy; hail's posting feels just a bit too clean, too smooth, almost choreographed. Like, for example...initially was lightly skeptical of the Yun wagon but in a way that could have just been baiting others into arguing for it harder, eventually allowed himself to be talked around to it, then hopped off after Yun's claim but by then it was too late to matter. That said, if "too wolfy to be a wolf" is a dubious angle to take, "too towny to be town" seems even more so.
So yeah, it's pretty thin gruel. There's a reason I haven't put an actual vote down about it.

And I have got to go to bed.

I hope you all have a good night (or day as the case may be).

Hopefully I'll see most of you Day 4.

Hour and twelve minutes remaining, kinda feeling my brain drain honestly.

Meso might be scum, I can't tell the difference.
Hailmind has better odds of being scum in my mind, but I haven't taken the type to build a proper case for or against it.
Tykan is almost certainly dead to me.
Byzantine is 98% clear Survivor.

Zaealix is the Knight
Happerry is confirmed to have used the Eagle Mask on Hailmind last night (Not visited by Tykan, if Tykan is Fiend with Staff then likely not paired)
Hailmind was not attacked last night and Tykan has not reported having his stuff stolen.

Four scum remaining, status of the Blade is currently unknown but decent odds it's in scum's hands.
Reliable could be Town, is likely being modkilled.
There are two staffs and at least one mask unaccounted for. There are two coins left, and a Token that has yet to be mentioned.

*rocks head from side to side*

So. Here's what I'm feeling right now.

Meso and Tykan are probably teamed. Hail feels like his group only has one firestarter, so I'm somewhat inclined to say 'Fiend' but it's equally possible that both scumteams have one. If we hit a Demon today, we might get lucky and kill the one that didn't use their Strongman yet.

I'm not entirely sure which team is which though.

Tykan is almost definitely scum, but I'm tired and could honestly go either way on Tykan or Hail right now? No possible vote fuckery going on right now either, so...

[x] Vote Hailcapital
@hailcapital Boop.

@Byzantine Feel free not to answer, but I don't suppose you're a swole gnome that made a copy of the Herald?

Okay caught up

Did hail ever elaborate on this btw? I don't remember him doing it.

Gonna address this first, it was when you suggested on Day 1 that there might be people interested in protecting you. I think you said this was you talking about a hypothetical, but that + the HFF claim on Day 2 is making me think that it might have been a softclaim to lead up to a HFF claim, which you had to backpedal on after HFF got eliminated as a possibility.

Nobody claiming to have been caged Night 1 to the Demons having the cage skips a lot of steps to decide they viewed you as a probable Fiend. I mean people might have reasons for not admitting to being caged (like if you used a coin, you'd be advertising to whoever tried to cage the person you swapped with that you were swapped. And Townies have plenty of good reasons to hold off on using items like that as well, especially Night 1. And the missing night kill makes the possibility of the demons being the targets of it much more likely.

It just feels really weird to immediately go to "Demons think I'm a Fiend" on that basis alone.

Honestly that was a couple different thoughts blending together in a way that doesn't make a ton of sense in retrospect. I've said why I think demons have the cage. During the night phase I was kinda over-focused on Nictis' end of day scumread on me. I connected that with being caged and with the demons having the cage to get "Demons caged me because they think I'm fiend!"
