Anderson Quest: Killing Vampires and Werewolves and Leprechauns (Hellsing/Bloodborne)

[] The ward is a barrier it can't trivially get past. You'll get near it and make us of it as an improvised burning shield to the abomination.

[] This thing fights on wild instinct, a crazed dance that best utilizes its insane strength. You can't read his movements, but you know instincts. You'll try and use the barrier to intercept attacks and interrupt its momentum, while you lure it into reacting to a feint against its two new weak spots only to instead aim for something else.

It's instincts are strong, it will likely react quickly to us aiming for its weak spots that are opened by its wounds. We can use that by feinting and than striking unexpectedly elsewhere.

See that 60% chance PER PERSON to do at least some damage on the lightning burst? Failed completely on both Anderson and Simon
See that 10% chance of Anderson doing severe damage? Fucking nailed it.

Ward's still up.
Yeah, we were lucky.

Do we know if passed over it, through it, etc? Or did we miss it in our distraction?

-[X] You have one more surprise in store: no one expects a laser to the face-psyche! It's actually aimed somewhere else!

Thoughts? Besides what I said above, we need its attention on us to give Djura time to recover.

Edit: Changed from "a feint" to "feints"

Using the Ward might be useful, but I'm not sure the corpse actually matters here.

Some suggestions: Ward Djura to give him time to recover? Try to remove the Orphan's jaw (no more severed arm and no chance of biting)? Attempt to cripple the wings?

[X] "Fellas! Get ready for an opening!"
-[X] "Yer lookin' a little rough there mate..."
--[X]"Need a hand?"
---[X] Father Anderson cast FIST OF A FALSE GOD!
----[X] IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE!
-----[X] Toss one of your barriers where your Fishy Foe is landing.
------[X] While he's slowed inside your barrier, take pot shots with the laser club.

Would you please stop that?

Though, @Tricia
I can't even remember, do we still have the laser club?

I can dig it! Not like I have the capability to make other plans right now.

What's the problem? I'm not saying we should try and do anything suicidal. We use our spring loaded Amygdala fist to knock it into the sky. Once airborne, it won't be able to use any of its considerable strength to fight back or maneuver around our attacks.

Then, as it's falling from the sky, we make another of our wards where it's going to land. We've already seen that it's at least halted from casually crossing the barrier. Hopefully being placed inside one would slow down it's movements enough for us to easily bombard it from afar.

The reason I use the fist is because it seems incredibly unlikely that the creature would stand still long enough for us to place the barrier around him, so we need to make him momentarily indisposed.

1. Your plan presupposes that something is guaranteed to work. Again, like the last bombastic one.
2. It has wings now.
3. Our jaw is shattered and we're disoriented and near deaf, we can't make decent quips.

Sounds good.

Eh, we can quote the Big Book of Violence instead. Pretty sure it has a few verses on holy smiting and we can get away with having a broken jaw with it.
Anderson kinda lost a few (read: almost all) of his front tweth. Like he said, any quips he'll make would have a whistling sound until he regrows his inscisors. He'll sound less righteous and more silly.

Not to mention that the orphan would probably not understand a word being 1.) an inhuman abomination and 2.) newly delivered from a voluntary self-operated c-section.

gotta respect its initiative if nothing else

Truly the LORD is with us. With his hand guiding us we shall put this Orphan out of its misery and deliver our flock from the Valley of the Shadow of Death.

you gotta respect a foe that reacts to losing a limb by picking it up to use as a bludgeon. The damn thing is feral and mad, but at least it's got style.

I'm currently trying desperately to remember how many Extra points hitting other blokes with your own lost limbs was in the barroom brawl rules.
... Anderson probably has a copy, though. He ought to know.

Oh yeah, no. RNGesus is a cruel, cruel bitch.
If you're familiar with fire emblem, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, too. '1% chance to be hit and 1% chance to be crit for triple damage, and that's after my basically guaranteed sure-hit 99% to kill him before he can hit back?' and 5 seconds later you're restarting the entire level because that's funny, right? Hah. hah. hah. Look at me laugh.

I think we need a plan that starts with Anderson drawing aggro, so that Djura can pop a blood vial and heal.

And if we can somehow manage to keep the orphan stay still, I think we could use our laser to clip off its wings... Wait a sec.

@Tricia mind if I ask if is the Club of righteousness' laser mode is easy to use? Like we can toss it at Simon, shout the instructions to him, so he can shoot the orphan for us?
(Possible caveat: Orphan might intercept the pass  )

--[X] If possible, try to take out its jaw to disarm it. It worked against the Wendigo that one time, so it's a proven strategy.
---[X] Or was it a Wechuge? You always had trouble telling the difference.
