Anderson Quest: Killing Vampires and Werewolves and Leprechauns (Hellsing/Bloodborne)

[X] Burn the corpse in the best way possible.

[X] Re-ward the chapel.
-[X] Philippians 4:8 and Isaiah 41:10 as part of the wording to Re-Ward the Chapel.

1. That was done as an insult

2. It's associated with Satanism
You might want to do some research.
The origin of the symbol comes from the Catholic tradition that Simon Peter was crucified upside down, as told by Origen of Alexandria. The tradition first appears in the "Martyrdom of Peter", a fragmented text found in, but possibly predating, the apocryphal Acts of Peter, which was written no later than 200 A.D. It is believed that Peter REQUESTED this form of crucifixion as he felt he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner that Jesus died. As such, some Catholics use this cross as a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Jesus.
According to Roman Catholicism, the pope is Peter's successor as Bishop of Rome. Therefore the Papacy is often represented by symbols that are also used to represent Peter — one example being the Keys of Heaven, another the Petrine Cross.

Remember "there's only one man on Earth who is death metal enough to have an inverted cross carved into his own throne"

[x] Examine the weapons Eileen recovered from the Workshop.

Need to see what our haul is, and I'm not wholly sure that using Great One bits as weapons are the best idea.

I wonder if Anderson has enough Arcane to use the Old Hunter's Bone. That would be fun, and the Old Hunter's Workshop has that, IIRC. Also, we need to give Hope her hair thingy.

How hard is it to pull a good sized bone out of this thing and club things with it? Samson killed a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass, a bone from this thing would be fine.

You know, for those concerned with durability, there is a section of the Hunter's Dream Workshop devoted to repairing weapons.

It can repair Beast Claws, therefore I'll bet it can repair Amygdala Bone Shanks.

Even so, those were normal men

Not dudes empowered by eldritch equivalents of the blood brother pact
Who can still be hurt by things like rocks, cleavers and angry dogs. A big damn bone club would work just fine. It would certainly work as well as a wheel.

Gehrman scythe also appears to be prominently made from bone.

Hey if it's doable then I've got no problems

But part of "doable" means it'll stand a chance of staying in working order for the duration of a serious fight

You'll have to show me the flesh and blood creature that isn't vulnerable to getting hit with a sufficiently large rock sometime.

You would imagine if random darkbeast bones can hold up than a great ones bones would be pretty sturdy as well.

Leather can stop blades that would cut a living cow quite deeply. It also absorbs impacts better than raw cowhide.

Leave that kind of thing to an expert, like Gerhman. Lets see if we can't haul some choice bits into the dream for him to work with

Should just use brute force and ignorance. Cut off one of its fingers or something and smash shit with it.

Just look at these things. They are clearly just two claws held together with cloth.

... I made my past comment about "carving up the Lesser Amygdala and making a weapon out of it", half in jest, half serious.

Now, after seeing everyone's thoughts about it, it doesn't seem too good an idea. I'm sorry, guys.

And I admit I played a tad too much Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate that same day I posted that, so I blame that.

You know...Anderson might have locked himself out of fighting the Moon Presence. By killing the imposter Iosefka and the Lesser Amygdala he might have accidentally prevented himself from obtained two of the Third Umbilical Cords. The first one is fairly obvious - you have to leave the fake Iosefka alive to obtain one of the items - but the second is still a theory. I'm one to believe that Oedon needed the Amygdala's presence on the outside of the chapel as a form of catalyst (if you will) to impregnate Arianna. That may have permanently destroyed two of the four cords.

Would he really have eaten Umbilical Cords anyway?

That may be where Anderson having impaled himself on Helena's Nail comes into play. He's already God's Monster, after all- the Moon Presence may not be able to capture his soul as it already belongs to a higher power.
