How small are you thinking the beacons are? I figured at minimum it was at least the size of a space marine backpack, and that probably would have had issues without runes, though now that I think of it yeah those could probably save it.
It's just a beacon not an actual teleporter it dosen't have to be large like just something you could wave around in your hand.

I was thinking for the teleporter grid to be like Necrons whenever they get damaged they get teleported out. we can, of course, turn it off for places that need to be held but it would greatly improve our casualties and stuff. and can we chain teleport I wanted to ask the author? and great omake ex nhilo.

In this timeline, crazier things have happened. For example, thanks to a triple nat 1 there is now a fifth Chaos God known as Malice.

Dont ask.
Well he always was there. He just had a little encouragement to improve upon himself.
.. and now ive remembered the heartless are in this mess.Dear God why.
On the bright side it's been nearing a year and they've yet to actually harm us :V

heartless become the equivalent of the horror monster that none of our brothers believes is real/a problem

I've decided to use the 'Emps is a soul-catcher for humans in much the same way as Slaanesh.' interpretation, barring anyone who gets nommed by a Daemon or killed by a soul-destroying weapon like the Anathame Horus used during the Heresy.

What's his end goal there then? Get enough souls to fight the Chaos Gods on their own turf?

That is certainly a benefit, though he has to gather enough power to outdo the emotions/worship of every ensouled being, not just the humans. That's part of the reasoning behind his general disregard for aliens, since they're slowing down the process, though he's not going to kill them off over it.
