Get the feeling that something like that is at the very end of what we are capable of and something even the Emperor would have trouble with.
He only reason why the Emperor can't do it is because he has no access to crystals. With the crystals while not easily we can still do it. Maybe take more than one action. One action to invent it, another to build it, and another to use it. That is unless we need to do more research of the crystals, and technology like the gellar field. We'd also probably need the perks that allow for opening portals.

[X] Ask her directly. It usually works, but there's always the chance she'll take offense.

Saying that this is pretty much Eldar level tech. Just being able to make this in the equivelent of one year is pretty damn ridiculous even for Primarchs or the Emperor himself.

Probably a good idea to go with this. Better to be blunt and getting fit done and being subtle and it never getting done.

I know this is out of left field, but...

...we need a jetpack. One with wings. We can't let Corvus and Sanguinius have the sky all to themselves. It's possible to make something that lets us fly using psyker and crafting skills, right?

The only reason why we can even make it in one year is the broken nature of replicators and crystals.

Says who? Replicators can't create anything too complex and I am pretty sure that even the crystals have their limits. Being able to create Eldar level tech in one year shouldn't be possible. Even DAoT mankind wasn't at Eldar level and us just being able to make such tech in such a short time is freaking ridiculous and way too broken.

Tell me one reason why we can't do it? Everything about it is stuff we can do. It's just doing a lot of stuff at once. Let's just ask @ilbgar123 if my idea is feasible cut out the middleman so to speak.

I'm not saying it should be impossible. Just that something of that tier seems like it should take an extremely long time to make/research while needing extremely high skills in the relevent areas.

I never said that it would be easy just that it isn't Eldar like tech. We have the capabilities to do it relatively soon. What do we need? Well we would need a high education score to know what the hell we're doing. Check. We'd need high invention score. Kind of check. We'd need to study crystals some more to develop the right concept crystals, than we would need the perks to allow the opening of rifts. Well either that or use a warp engine but that seems unwise.

Edit: What I'm describing isn't that screwey with the laws of physics. It's not like we're making a pocket dimension. All it would do is gather warp energy and isolate it so we can subject it to tests.

Samantha ??? SL 2->4. Resolution.
"Samantha, what's wrong?" You decide to cut right to the heart of the matter.

Diplomacy Check: 2 Checks passed. Total reduction= 25.

Speech: Diplomacy: 115+ 210(Education Perks)+110(Education bonus)+180(Paragon)+25(Experienced)=640. Required: 100-50(Diplomacy Check)-75(Diplomacy Perks)+ 50(Jealousy:Minor)+ 50(Blunt)=75. Passed.

640: Required: 100. Passed.

640: Required: 125. Passed.

640: Required: 150. Passed.

Gained one Level. Currently possess 4 Perk points. 30/380 to Level 29.

Samantha drew in on herself for a moment, then relaxed, breathing out explosively. "I'd ask if you read my mind, but my reaction was more than enough to tip you off." She sighed out, before her tone turned bitter. "Besides, I wouldn't notice if you had unless you let me." she added.

"Are you jealous?" You ask, concerned.

"Yes!" Samantha cried out. "You've completely outshone every achievement I've ever made, never failed at anything I can think of, and you refuse to show some kind of flaw so I could at least tell myself 'She's not perfect either.' instead of stewing in my own inferiority!" She vented.

Karma Check: 360: Required: 100+50(Jealousy:Minor)+50(Blunt)=200. Pass. Gained 20 Karma.

You consider your words, not because you're not sure what to say, but because you're not sure how to say it without making things worse or simply failing to make things better. "Well, just because your talents aren't as great as mine doesn't invalidate them. How many geniuses have discovered much of anything without help of some kind?" You asked.

"Not to mention, I'm actually a very selfish person. I barely recognize people I don't know personally as people unless I'm actively forcing it. I'm doing all of this stuff with motivations besides making people's lives better. Curiosity, building up to start taking planets into the fold via having things they want or being militarily superior, or simply to ensure survival against a threat to all of us. I'm not some perfect person who does everything to benefit the people around them. I have selfish motives when you get down to it, just like everyone else." You explain.

Samantha thinks this over for a moment. Then a minute. Then a minute and a half. Finally, she sighs. "I guess it was a little silly of me to think of you that way." she muses.

"A little, but I don't think I would handle someone casually trivializing all of my achievements well either." You respond.

"How human of you." Samantha said with a smile.

Reward: SL has advanced to 4. Karma has increased to 380. +15 to Psyker: Willpower.

Psyker: Willpower: 190. You have set horrific traps within your mind, sending mimetic junk into those who try to pierce your defenses, or simply annihilating them depending on the degree of assault and power of the offender. Thousands of lesser Warp Horrors working in concert don't make it past your passive defenses, while it would take hundreds of Greater Warp Horrors to break through, by which time you'd be alerted to the attempt. You can root around in the minds of anyone who isn't an Alpha-level psyker completely at your leisure, but they have a very small chance of noticing if they're of Alpha-level. +95 to attempts at mind-reading/domination, and to defending against such attempts. Daemons will find your soul impossible to take by force, and will get themselves killed on your passive defenses whether they try force or stealth. Greater Daemons will find your soul impossible to take by force. Even a Chaos God wouldn't be able to just waltz in if you were prepared.

Psyker: Willpower has Advanced to Psyker: Spirit.

Psyker: Spirit: 0. Your soul rejects Daemons who do nothing more than become too close, but you've reached the limit of known psychic resistance among humans.

Again, really, really missing the point. You are pretty much acting like we can do anything whenever we want and that we don't have any limits whatsoever. We are less than the Emperor and even he took ages to do big project. Examples being the Primarchs, Space Marines and the Webway. It's outright been stated that if we wanted to create new races we would need to max out sorcery.

I'm imagining that it wouldn't be as easy as you are making it out to be.

I think your missing the point and are overstating how hard it would be. The reason why the Emperor didn't do it is because he does not have plot devices... I mean crystals. We're not making unstoppable men or constructing a different form of FTL all I'm stating is to create a device to run experiments.

@ilbgar123
Apologies for bothering you, but is it possible to build off the latest anti-Warp stuff to make things designed to reduce the local Waaagh? Or is there any reason some of the stuff we've made can't affect the Waaagh already?
