Aiding the E.G.G.M.A.N. (Sonic)

Well at least it's 1 of 3 robots that can focus on critter capture, so we'll just need equipment for the Eggpawns, a mobile base, and 2 more robots.

Well, the entry for E-99 mentioned the Egg Fort Ii, which is a mobile base. Of sorts, at least. So, if its allowed, we could also build that to serve as the mobile base for the animal hunting team.

Hey guys you know after we lost delta I think it would be a good idea to start making back ups for the rest of the E-100s like losing one was bad enough I don't want to lose anymore of our ace units.

I've been saying the same thing for all our current robo hero units unfortunately undead frog never got back to us on how we go about doing that

Yeah that is definitely something we'll need to do soon, perhaps after the we do the Hey Ho to do the Eggman team.

Also wouldn't Eggrobo be a good flying unit for a second team?

eggrobos are mass produced badnicks, they're more like elite mooks than a hero unit. we could probably make an upgraded version of them but I feel like we'd be better off making a completely new flyer if we ever make a second team. also the hardboiled heavies were upgraded eggrobos and frog has already told us we're not allowed to make them so I'm worried a super eggrobo might get vetoed

[X] One of Metal Series, Silver Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Mecha Knuckles, Metal Knuckles, or even the prototype any one of these machines could be a potent force if brought up to spec.
-[x] Mecha Knuckles

... Well, we do need something that can keep up with Knuckles. He did manage to stalemate Gamma and take out one of the other members of the E-Series, so getting even a decent counter to him would be a smart idea. Plus, thanks to his raw strength, not only could he be a good partner for Alpha, he could also probably tangle with Metal Sonic a bit once he goes rogue.

... Though, I'm not sure if undead frog will let us use some of the Sonic X members of the E-Series, but building E-88 could also be useful. It can fly, after all, so he could help hunt down any new planes Tails builds. Plus, having a decently powerful robot patrolling the sides of the airships could prevent another boarding attempt by G.U.N. and/or Sonic's friends. But, again, not sure if the X version of the E-Series will be allowed in this quest.

[] Past Badniks the good doctor has created a wide variety of machines in the past, perhaps bringing one of these older machines up to date could be of aid to your creator.
-[] E-88 Falcon

The Metallix Mk.III is superior to Mecha Knuckles, as Mecha Knuckles does not even have fingers. I do like it's Thruster Dreads though! ^_^

[X] You should look more into that Chao.
[X] You have the data from Gamma's performance, you think you should put it to use.

Alright just asking on what people think of the Eggrobo series. Cause we'll probably need to start producing/making other new Badniks besides the Eggpawns. (Even if they're a staple to the Empire now.)

I've been too preoccupied to comment on this for awhile but I wanted to say, Metal Knuckels is the one with the wolverine claws and thruster dreads, Mecha Knuckles is the one that starts off as a literal pallet swap of knuckles and was actually intended to be able to pass off as him

Possible Evolution Of E-100 Series Based On Gamma's Combat Data (Part One)
=======================================================

Whenever I seem to get time to work on less important projects, something important happens that forces my attention towards something else. Thankfully, I've finished my review of Gamma's combat data, and not all of my processing power will be needed to deal with this newest issue, so I can at least begin tinkering with these new designs.

On its own, the data I've gotten from Gamma won't completely change some of my plans for the future members of the E-100 Series, it has given me the idea for a cheaper alternative to the E-100s. As they will be easier to mass-produce, they will obviously also be weaker than the original.

Guard Robo: While the E-100 Series is meant to solely be made up of unique units, some of the "Pre-100" members of the E-Series do show the merit of mass-produced machines. As E-02 Gamma was the only one of the first five E-100s to survive without any upgrades, using him as the basis for a mass-production model. Of course, as these will be cheaper to make, they'll be far inferior to the original in every way imaginable, so I won't be able to rely on them the same way I would a "numbered" member of the E-100s. Still, even with the downgraded performance, weapons, and armor, they should be superior to the average Egg Pawn.
+ Possible Roles: As their name suggests, the Guard Robos will act as defenders for important bases, including the one I'm currently housed in. Though, if there ever comes a time to fully replace the Egg Pawns, they certainly would prove a good choice.

Besides the new Guard Robo design, I've also started working on the very basics for the next seventeen members of the E-100 Series. E-101 through E-105 were equipped with modular Strider frames so they could easily be altered to fit whatever role the Doctor needed them to fulfill. Yet, as I have seen, the basic frame requires great skill to use, which is why Gamma is the only one who still uses it, and Alpha's heavily armored frame has proven to be a very valuable asset. So, for most of these new designs, I've decided to discard the Strider frame, and instead, I've attempted to give most of them a unique frame meant to fulfill a single role.

E-106 Eta: As Alpha's performance and the failures of Delta and Epsilon have shown me, another dedicated melee unit is desperately needed for the E-Series to have any continued relevance. E-106 (designation Eta) will have a larger frame than all previous E-100s, and will be equipped with two jackhammers, each one placed right above its hands, allowing it to grab ahold of an enemy and "disable" them in quite the painful fashion. The dual jackhammers would also allow it to break through barriers to reach its objectives without having to find another entrance or exit.
+ Possible Roles: As I doubt I'll be able to make its armor as strong as Alpha's at the very start, pairing it up with another member of the E-Series would help sure up any of its faults. If partnered up with Alpha, the latter can distract an enemy, allowing Eta to sneak up and ambush them. But, working together with Gamma would create quite the fearsome duo, with Eta charging into melee while Gamma would be able to get behind them and shoot them in the back.

E-107 Theta: For E-107 (designation Theta), I believe that I should create something far... different from the previous models. GUN proved that they have the necessary forces to actually threaten the Egg Carrier, and their ground forces had the numbers to fight off anything short of a group of Super Badniks. And, even then, they may have been holding a few surprises back in case the Doctor did send his strongest creations down to wipe them out. Theta is meant to solve this problem if it ever happens again in the future, as it is essentially a walking mortar that can completely decimate an enemy formation. Though, as I also am prioritizing its speed, so Sonic can't simply rush it down and destroy it, there's currently little room for defensive weaponry other than its missiles.
- Possible Roles: As it's defenseless in melee, I should always assign at least two squads of Egg Pawns and, if available, another E-100 or Super Badnik to accompany it. If sufficiently defended, Theta could easily clear away a mass of GUN vehicles and robots on its own, allowing the Doctor to focus the main brunt of his forces elsewhere. Like, say, hunting down a particularly annoying hedgehog.

E-108 Iota: For E-108 (designation Iota), I wish for it to, essentially, act as a replacement for the Egg Flapper. While the Egg Flappers under my control did prove their worth, they also showed me just how easily they can be spotted and destroyed by those I wish to spy on. Iota will be far more stealthy, with an A.I. that's far above even the ones the Egg Pawns now possess, allowing it to track foes with less difficulty, which in turn will make it far harder for them to actually realize they're being followed.
- Possible Roles: As Iota will be equipped with few powerful weapons, it will need to rely on its speed to escape any target that becomes aware of it. Ideally, it should never enter combat without an escort of Egg Flappers or other members of the E-Series, but I know that things can easily go to heck. So, future upgrades should focus on increasing its survivability against making it a flying killing machine.

E-109 Kappa: E-109 (designation Kappa) will use a, heavily, modified version of the Fortress modification that Zeta used. Instead of being used to defend a single area, Kappa will be equipped with massive drills to break through walls and allow other Badniks and E-100s to enter into an enemy base. It's, all in all, a simple design I may refine later on if not toss out entirely, but I can't deny that I may need a "bunker buster" if I ever decide to raid or destroy one of GUN's bases.
- Possible Uses: As mentioned, Kappa is meant to be a bunker buster, capable of ripping apart enemy bases while also allowing additional forces to flood in and neutralize any hostiles they encounter.

E-110 Lambda: Explosives can solve quite a few problems, and E-110 (designation Lambda) will be capable of dispensing a large number of bombs from its palms as well as its tail. While this will cause quite a bit of damage to the surrounding area, it will be able to massacre most GUN forces it fights and the number of explosives it can deposit could wound, if not kill, one of those troublesome Mobians.
- Possible Uses: On its own, Lambda could be a good anti-GUN unit if the team I assign it to encounters any of their troops or robots. But, in regards to Sonic and his allies, Lambda should always be paired up with a few other E-100s as that hedgehog could easily just run out of the way of its bombs and spin-dash it until it is no longer functioning.

E-111 Mu And E-112 Nu: As Sonic and his friends have shown, teamwork can easily turn a previous unsalvageable situation into a real victory. And, as the first members of the E-100 line each have a connection that one could describe as "brotherly", I have designed E-111 (designation Mu) and E-112 (designation Nu) to be the perfect team. Or, as perfect as I can get since I lack the experience and skill of Eggman. I've also decided to give them the same potential for modifications as Gamma, Epsilon, Beta, Zeta, and Delta, starting them out in the Strider frames. Yet, unlike them, Mu and Nu are meant to have far more interchangeable parts, allowing me to switch them to one of the currently available modifications that would best fit their current roles.
+ Possible Roles: Thanks to their altered Stalker Frames, Mu and Nu can, theoretically, be sent to solve any issue I encounter. Hopefully, using Gamma's data, they will be just as efficient and deadly as he is.

E-113 Xi: While all members of the E-100s are quite lethal, E-113 (designation Xi) is a true hunter. With its incredible agility, quick pace, and thermal vision, few things can escape its wrath. Its laser cannon may not be able to eliminate a Mobian in one shot, but it certainly can wipe the floor with any GUN robots or soldiers it decides to hunt down.
- Possible Roles: While Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy are certainly outside of its "weight class", Xi could easily hunt down weaker targets like GUN officers and the less aggressive Mobians like Cream the Rabbit and Vanilla the Rabbit, who could be used as hostages. It could also, if required, be a good choice to recover Chaos Emeralds.

E-114 Omicron: E-114 (designation Omicron) is, essentially, a combination of Theta and Iota, carrying a massive amount of ordinance while being capable of flight. It can fly far above its foes and begin an aerial bombardment, completely blowing apart the area it's targeting and all those in it.
- Possible Roles: As Sonic and his friends can easily dodge its bombardment, Omicron should either only be used on GUN positions, or to destroy buildings those bothersome Mobians are in if it can be guaranteed that they won't be able to escape. As Omicron is meant to be an aerial artillery piece, it should also have an escort of Egg Flappers or Interceptors at all times.

E-115 Pi: While it's doubtful that my forces will have to fight in massive underground tunnels, I can't deny that such a possibility will never occur. And, depending on the situation, the Badniks under my control may find the opportunity to drill under an enemy base and dig up into it, catching the enemies inside by surprise. E-115 (designation Pi) is both meant for subterranean combat and creating tunnels in the Earth's crust.
- Possible Roles: Again, Pi would only be assigned areas already filled with underground tunnels, or in areas where it can dig said tunnels. It could also, theoretically, be stationed in the Egg Carrier to defend the narrow hallways, a role it would perform far better at than Epsilon did. And, another hypothetical role, if I give it certain upgrades I could turn it into a decent ambusher, with it burrowing under the ground only to burst forth from below an enemy and send them flying.

E-116 Rho: Sadly, despite putting up a good fight against Sonic, Knuckles' intervention resulted in the destruction of my own hybrid aquatic/land unit. While I lack the current ability to truly rebuild the original Delta (at best, without the animal that was the life battery of the original, I could create a copy), I can create a new E-100 that uses the Hydro frame as a base. E-116 (designation Rho) is meant to be Delta's successor and, while some of his brothers may dislike the term, replacement.
- Possible Roles: While Delta proved how powerful the Hydro frame could be when pitted against Sonic, it also showed the glaring weaknesses it possesses when forced to fight any other Mobian. I may not be able to make it so Rho can fight Knuckles one on one at the moment, though upgrades would certainly increase its chance of survival, I can ensure that I don't assign it to any location where it could easily be forced into a corner by that red menace.
- Eggman's Request: Rho could actually fulfill two requests, either serving as an escort for the Naval Egg Fleet, or the boss of the Ocean Oil Zone. But, I do require a dedicated naval assist, especially a powerful one, so it may be wise to keep Rho a part of my forces and give the Doctor different models that can fulfill both of those pre-mentioned roles.

E-117 Sigma: I have quite the varied amount of units in the previous models already that can fill many different roles, so perhaps it's time to create one that's meant to purely act in a support role? E-117 (Sigma) is the first E-100 skilled in cyber warfare, capable of hacking hostile robots and altering their programming. While more advanced robots will require ever upgraded software to make it past their security, it would be fun to watch GUNs own robotic forces turn against their organic infantry.
- Possible Roles: Sigma should never be sent out into combat alone and should never engage in direct combat. At most, if I see fit to create them, it should be equipped with either personalized projectile weapons to snipe at enemies, or, if I'm too busy, or should simply be given some spare Egg Pawn weapons. Its main role should always be support, hacking GUN robots, locked security doors... or traitorous fools who think that trying to betray Eggman is the wisest course of action.

E-118 Tau: E-118 (designation Tau) is, at the moment, the final dedicated flying E-100 unit. It's essentially a combination of its previous flying siblings, meant to fly fast while also harassing its target with laser fire. Though, as I did need to borrow a few aspects of Alpha's original design, Tau most likely also has a weakness to high amounts of electricity. Hmm, well, unless a freak lightning storm happens, I doubt that would ever truly be a problem. But, as I do hate shoddy work, as any loyal follower of Eggman should, I'll probably try to apply the same fix I gave to Alpha to Tau whenever I have free time.
- Possible Roles: As with Omicron, whenever Tau is deployed it should have an escort whenever it is deployed. While not as defenseless as Iota, losing any of the E-100s would be a great blow. I may be able to build replicas of any destroyed model, but that will force me to spend time that I could use to build or upgrade other units to use against that meddlesome Mobian.

E-119 Upsilon: Eggman has, surprisingly, hired quite a few mercenaries over the year to deal with Sonic. While all of them have, obviously, failed, I have realized something. There are simply things organics can do and places they can enter that, despite my best efforts, few of my or Eggman's creations can replicate. For example, "Fang the Sniper" (real name Nack the Weasel) could easily enter Station Square without anyone getting suspicious of his motives, as they'd simply mistake him for a regular Mobian, while a squadron of Egg Pawns doing the same thing would cause a massive panic to ripple through the city. And, if I had the time and chance to hire one of them beforehand, Fang or "Bean the Dynamite" may have been able to either distract Knuckles and Sonic long enough to evacuate Delta, and could have possibly helped prevent Amy Rose from escaping the Egg Carrier. Of course, as they are mercenaries, I would need to either find the funds to hire them myself, or convince the Doctor that their assistance would greatly increase the chances of his current plans succeeding. Now, what does E-119 (designation Upsilon) have to do with any of this? Well, as I can't waste my time talking to these Mobians, as I have many other important tasks to juggle my attention between, I need someone else to actually go find them and convince them to assist, even temporarily, join up with the Eggman Army and face off against Sonic and his allies.
+ Possible Roles: As was previously stated Upsilon would focus on recruiting additional manpower to ensure that the Doctor's plans always succeed. They may be prone to making errors that Eggman wouldn't, but few things can challenge a Mobian as much as another Mobian.

E-120 Chi And E-121 Phi: Similar to Mu and Nu, Chi and Phi are meant to be deployed alongside one another. Yet, instead of being deployed with other members of the E-100 series, they are meant to act as commanders for the weaker and less intelligent Badniks that make up Eggman's army.
- Possible Roles: As they will each be equipped with the basic Strider frame, neither of them will be incredibly strong combatants on their own. But, their primary objective during battles will be to lead lesser robots against enemy forces and to ensure as many units survive as possible. As I've learned, even if they may not be useful against Mobians, basic Badniks can be quite useful against GUN forces.

E-122 Psi: E-122 (designation Psi) may be far from the most powerful of these new designs, but it may be one of the most useful blueprints I've made. Whenever a Badnik or E-100 that has a Life Battery is destroyed, the animal that was serving as the unit's power source will be freed. Psi is meant to capture these newly released creatures, ensuring that I can both recycle them and the remains of the machines they powered to create new units.
- Possible Roles: Of course, besides sending it alongside my combat squad, I can send Psi to hunt down additional "power sources". Until I can create a power source that's as efficient as Eggman's Life Battery, I will need as many animals as I can house to create powerful machines for the Doctor.

=======================================================

Yeah, if it wasn't obvious, this is meant to take place whenever we finally review Gamma's data. So the chances of this ever becoming canon see slim, though the models refernced here can serve as good inspiration for the future if Undead Frog does declare this fully non-canon. Also, if it also wasn't clear, each of these were based on the Archie comic series version of the E-Series.

I've also decided to list off each of the E-100s that weren't given links as they never actually appeared in the Archie Comics, and they only appear on the wiki in the "unseen characters" page.

E-107 Theta: Theta is actually quite interesting. Not only is he the only member of the E-Series that Gamma hunted down that managed to escape (based on there being a version of him on Light Mobius), in Light Mobius he was locked away alongside Shadow as they were considered threats to the entire planet. So... uh, try and represent this, I made it so Theta could deal a lot of collateral damage, even if he could be beaten by Sonic and easily locked away.

... Also, yes, I did realize that IDW did make its own Theta, but I didn't realize that until I was 80% done with this omake. So... I'll probably use the IDW Theta as the basis for E-123 if I decide to make a sequel to this one.

E-111 Mu and E-112 Nu: As Mu and Nu were assigned to the same base, and have similar names, I decided to make them sibling units. And, since they also didn't have anything else interesting mentioned about them, I decided to give them the regular modular Strider frame.

E-114 Omicron: Omicron is mentioned as not only using aerial bombardment to keep Gamma from destroying it, but had enough ammo to keep firing for 163.5 hours straight. It was only after running out of ammo that Gamma was able to destroy the now defenseless Omicron.

E-115 Pi: Pi was stationed in a massive underground tunnel in not-Australia. As that was the only unique thing about him, I made it his entire shtick.

E-116 Rho: Rho emerged from the ocean to face off against Gamma, so it was an obvious choice to be an aquatic unit.

E-117 Sigma: Sigma was capable of infecting Gamma with "Zero Viruses", which kept giving him alerts that Sigma's life battery had been rescued. While Gamma didn't fall for this, this was a very interesting ability. So, I built this version of Sigma all around it, making it the only E-100 that's proficient in cyber warfare.

E-119 Upsilon: I... really had no idea what to do with Upsilon. Its only noted action was being in the Battle Fortress where it was meeting with members of the Battle Bird Armada. I could either make it a "recruiter" who we could send out to find and convince certain people to join unless, even if it's temporary (like hiring Nack/Fang to do a single job or mission for us), or I could give him a more advanced version of the Strider frame. It really was a toss-up, especially since I'm unsure what undead frog would prefer if he does decide to make the very basics of this omake, the designs for these E-100s, canon after we research Gamma's combat data. I... eventually decided to go with the recruiter just because I like the concept of bringing back minor villains that Eggman recruited to help pester Sonic and his friends in the present.

E-120 Phi and E-121 Chi: As these were mentioned before Sonic Battles was released, Phi was actually called E-120 in the Archie continuity instead of E-121, and was a unique unit like its predecessors instead of being a mass-production model like the Phi that appeared in Battles. Of course, as the Phis in Battles weren't made until Eggman discovered Emral, the ones that Egg Brain came up with in this omake had to be different. I had a lot of trouble deciding just what to make them, before eventually deciding to make them similar to Mu and Nu, where they're meant to be deployed as a team.

E-122 Psi: Psi is the odd 'bot out as, unlike the other E-100s, it actually gave itself up to Gamma without a fight. As I also wanted to make one of the E-100s in this a capture-focused one, I decided to give this role to Psi, which could also help explain why he decided to let Gamma destroy him. Either he was unarmed, or at least equipped with weapons meant to stun organics, so it viewed resisting Gamma's attempts as pointless, or it eventually gained some sense of self-awareness and came to hate its role and was happy when Gamma offered to end its existence so it would no longer be forced to cause any more pain or suffering.

Also, a big thanks to @Shadow-86 for looking over this before it was posted.

More Chao
[X] You should look more into that Chao.

You continue your study of the Chao, it has been a small amount of time since you devoted extra attention to it beyond what was needed to keep it alive and relatively happy.

It is…. Doing well and the Egg Pawns seem to enjoy the act of caring for it quite a bit, the small sphere on it's head appears to be turning to an orange color, but no signs of actual ill health are present.

Good, good, perhaps later you will begin the Chaos education.

This was a… pleasant distraction, but at the moment you have other matters to attend to.

Like the fact that two large groups of Egg Pawns have started paining themselves different colors and are getting ready to fi- are they aggressively dancing at each other… no you don't want to know. Just let the Egg Pawns be idiots in peace and your sure nothing major will happen.

What do you do next?
