That's a cool weapon alright. Only issue is Chaos' power might be too much but even then it should weaken it greatly. Hopefully we put in a limiter on absorption.
And it's nice to be appreciated by the boss, even if he probably is going to create something better than us and give us the cold shoulder at some point.

Unintentional consequences is always a problem with super weapons.... I mean look at all the ways a central control AI like the PC could do wrong!
Mind you Eggman was actually really successful with this one, outside of the Egg Brain being foribly taken control of their is exactly one type of circumstances that could lead to it knowingly going against him.

And like Sonic says you gotta go fast… in this case to find him and bring him the Chaos Emeralds. Chaos has used up a good portion of the energy they have, but something just tells you that something remains within…. It's unscientific but deep down a part of you just knows that power remains within… and the rest of you knows that if anyone can bring out that power its Sonic.
He always was good at acting on instinct.
Even as perfect Chaos and Eggmans newest machine battle it out over the flooded GUN base the hectic pace of battle that had been going just moments before has gone entirely quiet and now both armies are trying in vein to stop the massive watery beast that now dominates the area.
Plenty of badnik wreckage is floating around in that newly created lake… you hope all those GUN soldiers are still alive.
Chaos really is showing its power in all of this, even with virtually everything going against it he still is more than able to fight Eggmans latest machine…. If he wins that fight…. You'd rather not think about it actually.
You only hope you can get to sonic in time.

Stopping Chaos is our current top priority. Running is a sign of weakness. Between us and Super Sonic, Chaos will be in a tight spot. As long as Super Sonic doesn't take us out first.

Because our machine just isn't optimized for Sonic like it is for Chaos. Attempting to fight Sonic with it, let alone both, will not succeed.

Because even if we decide to have the Egg Muscle focus solely on Chaos, there's nothing stopping Sonic from attacking both of them, which he can easily do.
