-[X] Spec Ops Pawn: A much more durable, creatively thinking, and reactive Egg Pawn variant specialized for high danger assignments. 10 Points.
-[X] Burning Light: A small adjustment to the light drive should make the energy spheres that Mecha Sonic pulls into it's body actually harmful to touch, a good way to help it charge uninterrupted. 20 Points.
-[X] Hard Light platform: Adjusting the Light Drive a small amount should let Metal Sonic project hard light from its feat to stop itself from falling in a pinch… and lead the way for other applications. 20 Points.
-[X] Chaos Efficiency: Needless to say Mecha Sonic needing access to the Master Emerald in order to activate its short term super form is a very limiting factor, some upgrades to the old tech in the chassis should let it do similar with just a held Chaos Emerald. 20 Points.
First off you begin work on some new Egg Pawn variants.
The Pilot variation is the most basic of these as you mostly just need to update some of the software… and give it a new paint job so the other pawns can tell it apparent from the rank and file.
Now the magician is another situation entirely. Compacting the ability to repair other robots, drain rings from hostile forces, and than to flip between the two primary states is a lot to fit in the Egg Pawn frame… but somehow you manage with minimal difficulty.
Spec Ops Pawns meanwhile are full on upgrade to… just about everything. They are more durable, stronger, have basic common sense, better creative thinking, better aim, quicker reaction speeds, built in E-warfare equipment, a sense of smell, better hearing, more capability at tracking moving targets, and a scary black paint job.
…. They do have an odd habit doing unnecessary combat rolls even when just walking around for some reason however.
Naturally you also work on Mecha Sonic…. You secret weapon to deploy against the filthy usurper.
First upgrade is simply upgrading the charge on the light drive to actually hard enemies that make contact with it, the charge period is the most vulnerable time during any powerful ability after all so additional defense in that area can only be helpful.
Next you implement elements of a hard light manipulator into the Light Drive. This should in its most basic form allow Mecha Sonic to create hard light platforms if it's flight is ever knocked offline… but more importantly it opens the way for other applications.
And finally you improve the efficiency of Mecha Sonic's Super Mode, now it only needs a single Chaos Emerald to achieve what former would only be possible with the power of the Master Emerald.

For the first time since you encountered the imposter you have no direction from them.
Hmmmm you are torn on how you feel but you know better than to let an opportunity go to waste.
What do you do next?
[] One of Metal Series, Silver Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Mecha Knuckles, Metal Knuckles, or even the
prototype any one of these machines could be a potent force if brought up to spec.
[] Past Badniks the good doctor has created a wide variety of machines in the past, perhaps bringing one of these older machines up to date could be of aid to your creator.
[ ] Much as you loath the imposter... you'd better work on the E-2000s.
[] Current Badniks your creator really is looking to remodle soon and it shows, the line up of active Badniks is fairly small, but you could improve them to get more quality even with the smaller numbers. (Upgrade one of the Sonic Adventure 1 Era Badniks).
[] A new Badnik you do not know how long anything you produce will last, but your current goal is merely to make your creators forces stronger for the next fight, a new machine type should be a decent hold over until the doctor initiates his overhaul.
[] The idea of other airships intrigues you... you should design some more.
[] A powerhouse, instead of updating an old machine or producing a new lesser robot template a more powerful machine may be needed to aid your creators plans.
[] All armies need their infrastructure, you should put some work into the topic.
[] You should look more into that Chao.

Additionally you can plot against the usurper on the side. How do you start?
[ ] Make a powerful individual killer robot.
[ ] Begin building your forces, you will destroy this usurper. (Choose from humanoid model research or vehicle research).
[ ] Establish a blacksite far away from their eyes.
[ ] Investigate the imposters nature.
[ ] Investigate the location of the true Eggman.
