Yeah, you're not the sort of person who would leave people to suffer the depredations of cannibalistic raiders if you could avoid it. You will probably have to dip into your food stocks again, too much was lost in transportation, but with the new farms going up it shouldn't be too bad. Depending on how many people came with you and what they brought with them, it might not even be a problem.
"Actually, we're settling in people from Shattersaw into Glenshade Manor and helping them set up a hydroponic farm there. It's small at the moment, but if you want to get away from the raids we would be happy to welcome you. My forces can also provide military cover as you head out, although we would ask that you decide quickly as we cannot remain out here too long," you explain to the people of Amethyst Gardens gathered about you and your troops.

280/400 people will leave Amethyst Gardens for Glenshade Manor
Surprisingly enough, a little over a quarter of the population refuses to accompany you, pointing out that tricking people with promises of food and shelter is a great way to steal them without having to waste bullets. You're rather put off by this line of argument, but you're not going to force them to leave if they don't want to.
Setting up a cordon outside the station, pointed out towards the deeper parts of the rail line, you let the people organize what they will be taking with them. It only takes a day for those who are leaving Amethyst Garden to pack up and leave. For the most part they are carrying food, but you notice that they are also taking things like cuttings from trees, vines, and flowers, and bottles of wine. When you question them about it, they shrug and point out that this is what they are good at and that even the raiders like luxury goods.
It's kind of depressing, really.

Imperators
As you begin the march back to Glenshade Manor, you notice other people coming down the tunnel in your direction. You quickly move your soldiers to an active combat posture and then just watch. Soon enough more people come into view, and you find yourself moderately impressed at their level of organization, if not their technology. The front ranks are all lined up tight with each other, overlapping shields presenting a wall of metal with spears sticking out between the gaps, while the next two ranks had longer spears held over the heads of the front rank, presenting an incredibly deadly and effective front in the tight confines of the railway.
Unless of course you had guns.
The enemy forces stop about fifty metres out, noticing that not only do you have assault rifles and modern armour but you also have the SAW you brought with you set up and pointed at them. The word 'massacre' comes to mind, but you're not the sort to open fire on another group simply because someone else said they were bad... although...
"Do note that the last time I had a meeting like this someone decided to take a shot at me! There were no survivors! I suggest peaceful parlay!" You call out in warning. With your pregnancy, you get the feeling that a repeat of the incident with the Dragonflies would result in very, very bad things for the perpetrators.
Instead of attacking or parlay, the raid group simply began to march backwards, out of sight around a bend in the tracks once more, a disconcerting sight to say the least. You take the opportunity to suggest that maybe those staying behind should come with you since it is unlikely that they will be gone long, but those staying just shrug and say that those leaving are leaving behind lots of things that can be used to bribe the Imperators off.
Again, rather depressing.
The trek back to Glenshade Manor is a tense one, with the expectation of attack at any time, but nothing happens and the refugees you brought with you are soon enough getting to meet those who have come in from Shattersaw. The meeting is somewhat odd, what with the people of Amethyst Gardens being somewhat off put by the grim, macabre nature of the Grave Tender immigrants and their work in making an ossuary for the dead of the settlement, but both groups seem to get along well from what you have seen. The Amethyst Gardeners have developed a sort of stoic fatalism that seems to mesh with the Grave Tenders. You get the feeling they're going to be an odd bunch.
Glenshade Manor gains 267 labouers, 8 artisans, and 5 academics
Getting back to Shattersaw a few weeks later, you are immediately badgered to go have the rest of the doctors check over your pregnancy more thoroughly, despite the monitoring you have been having. While annoying, it isn't just your lineage concerned husband Maxwell who is worried, but all of your troops. You do suppose you have earned their loyalty enough that they would be worried about your health and the health of your children.

By all accounts, both of your children are developing healthy and normally. Because they are twins they are likely going to be somewhat premature simply because they won't have enough room, but thus far it looks like they are set for a normal gestation period, so you're likely looking at another three months or so before the birth. No one is going to let you do anything for the last six weeks, which is annoying since Lemay is still working on getting the 504s to come around to having practice military manoeuvres with you and the Grave Tenders. That will have to wait until after the birth. Which means that for scheduling purposes with the harvests, your camping expedition out into the forest will have to come before... but you're already hearing the objections of everyone around you of spending time overnight in the forest while pregnant.
Do you...

We should look if we can convince the Academics to come work with us in Greenshaft; every little bit helps, and the sooner we can get the hospital and teaching facilities up and running, the better.
Something important we learned is that Glenshade Manor is within striking distance of at least the Imperators, and something important that they learned is that there may be new loot at Glenshade Manor. Considering their lack of modern weapons we probably don't need to leave much of a force there, but we should leave some in case unfriendly visitors drop by.

I honestly have no idea. I have some thoughts over the directions things could go, but again, there's a solid couple hundred generations between this period and then.

If we do really well, and manage to save enough tech to start up some ship building in a few hundred years... well that can accelerate things significantly.
Some options will be to switch over to five year periods or to skip over a few generations so that the story remains centred on periods of conflict and 'ages of strife', so to say.
