A Villain In A World Of Heroes

I say we try to eat it, anyways. Its roots could make a fine garnish, or its leaves a nice tea. If it's poisonous, at least we have regeneration.

Viney Problem
You leave the pond and continue your wanderings. You don't NEED to be clean after all, it is just a spot of normalcy, not that you need normal either, considering the things you have done. Once again, you wander without incident until the early afternoon. You enter a clearing, and, strangely, the entire ground seems covered in vines.

In the center of the clearing, is a huge bulb. It reminds you of a flower before it blooms, except it is filled with beautiful colors on the outside. In fact, they are so pretty, you can't imagine what the inside will be like. You start to walk towards the beautiful flower, you need to go inside it, you need to give yourself to it, you need to feed yourself to it. Wait, for a moment, you hesitate, but then you forget why you are hesitating. Only a few seconds later, though, you trip over one of the vines. In the spilt second before you hit the ground, you realize that something is horribly wrong, and, as soon as you hit the ground, you start pushing yourself up. You stand up, and are about to leave, but then the vines underfoot shoot up and wrap you tightly, so tightly that you can barely move.

You are about half way through the clearing and forty feet from the center. You have enough wiggle room to do just that, wiggle, and little else. You need a way to escape from these vines, unfortunately, their vines coversl he whole clearing. Hopefully, you can get free without a problem.

You can try.

While you are still bound by the vines? It might be a good idea take are of that.
I'm not aiming at the vines, I'm aiming at the bulb, which I assumed was still a couple dozen feet away.
Unless you mean it's likely to fuck us over for burning it's bulb with the vines. It didn't seem to me that the vines were THAT dangerous, atleast short-term. Prevent us from running, and might be trying to pull us towards the bulb, but if we set that ablaze I think it's priorities would change.

[X] Nova Glacium? Nova Glacium. Nova Glacium on the vines. Then cut the vines. Then Nova Glacium the bulb. Ice kills plants just as effectively as fire without all the burning hurting everything. If something moves, use Nova Glacium until it doesn't.

Why did we walk into this....

[X] use ice to cut free of the vines. Then priced to cut your way out with your sword as you light the place on fire.

[X] Spam Icebolts everywhere. Start with the vines holding you, then the obvious bulb of obviousness, and then aim at anything else that looks even vaguely important. Don't stop until the vines stop moving.
[] When you're done, set the clearing on fire to kill any seeds it may have and walk away. If you cause a forest fire, then the forest obviously deserved it.

[X] When you're done, eat the bulb ,time to put some veggies on your diet

The problem with that is, you are in the forest and you are not fire-proof or even fire resistant.
Our regeneration gives us a small degree of fire-resistance, and combined with the fact that humans are pretty inflammable (only the fat really burns, everything else takes more energy than it puts out), I think we would be OK as long as we start moving right away.

to those thinking that regeneration equals defence from fire all I say is : Lernaean Hydra
we also still need to breath

Fine, fine.

-[]Make sure to make a ring of Icebolts around the clearing first, to give you time to run away :V

Yeah, I'm not too afraid of the murderous and magical forest catching on fire on a large scale. I'm pretty sure that there's something in here that can put it out. And when it comes out, then we find it and put it out. Everybody wins!

what im saying is that historicaly fire is the counter of choice to regen
and im the only one who wants to eat this plant for the sweet telepatic powers ?

That doesn't make sense. Fire should work no better against a Regenerator than a normal person. Plus, like I said, humans are very NOT flammable. After the clothes and fat are gone, the fire should put itself out (assuming we aren't sitting in a pile of other flammable stuff), and our regen would hopefully save us from the fact that we have no skin now and are likely bleeding everywhere.

It's not that it works better ,but that the regenerator normaly either has a hard time regenerating burnt scar tissue or can't at all

Forest fire , wile we are in the forest ?
Doesn't make sense that burned scar tissue would be harder to heal. But even if it was, just cut it off, and regrow it the normal way.
And why would we just be sitting in the forest Fire? We'd be running from it, and we can run faster than the fire.

If we can call the fires, there's no reason to call them on ourselves - we just call them on the vines between us and the bulb. Once we burn that part enough, the vines on top of us ought to slacken enough for us to escape.
