You can't do both, by the time you finsh wandering (where you will probably get into a battle anyways) it will be too late to experiment and vice-versa.
Darn. Well, then, I guess I'll go change my vote again. We need to learn more about our spells, after all.
[X] Experiment near the edge of the forest.
-[X] How much force can we exert with our bolts?
-[X]Do we lose control of them when we stab something, or when we "let go" of it?
-[X]What activates it's freezing component?
-[X]Can we make two bolts parallel to each other and place wooden planks perpendicular to the bolts to make a flying raft thingy?
-[X] Can we grab the bolts without hurting ourselves (This is a valid thing because we have regeneration)?
-[X] Can we make them needle thin?
-[X] Can we make them really thick?
-[X]How much can we make them lift, or does touching something make us lose control over it?
-[X] How many can we control at one time?
-[X]How's our raw magical power coming along, now that we've eaten two magical creatures (I mean things like the wordless telekinesis)?
-[X]Can our regeneration push things out of wounds?
-[X]Does our regeneration make us hungry when we use it, or are we hungry right now anyways?
-[X] Test holding our breath to see if regeneration helps with that.
-[X] Test advanced senses. Can we hear anything rustling around in the silent woods that we couldn't before?
-[X] How much physically stronger are we now? Try picking up rocks and stuff and throwing them as fast as we can to get a sense for the difference.
[X] Make sure to keep watch as you do this. Advanced senses only work if you use them, after all.
