Largely due to the Freehold morphing into being the Greater Volantene Reich I believe.

I think if you add up the number of places Braavos has attacked or conquered, they amount to a tiny fraction of those Volantis has. For that matter, Laketown's done more territorial expansion than Braavos by far.

One of those is plural though. How does that in any way shape or form disprove my statement that Pentos is leaving one faction dominated by one player while entering another faction dominated by other players?
Volantis got elected Emperor standing against that though, then immediately betrayed the Freeman platform to turn the rest of the Freehold into vassals.A bit of a dumb reason - anyone could have foreseen the richer and bigger states would end up, on a practical level, being more "equal" than others.

"Reich" doesn't really apply to the Alliance, and it's just not the same sort of organisation, explicitly being an alliance of sovereign parties. How does that in any way shape or form disprove my statement that Pentos is leaving one faction dominated by one player while entering another faction dominated by other players?

They haven't actually conquered anywhere really - the Stepstones were ceded by an ally in return for assistance.
Not according to Qohor and Volantis. So is the Freehold. It is an alliance of the multiple Free Cities.

They are ignoring a free cities sovereignty and invaded it when it disagreed, not to mention kidnapped its senators.I don't honestly see exactly what they are doing that is so intrusive.

Your side of the argument so far appears to be stop complaining Braavosi/Rebel scum, or we'll shoot you.Which if you will see our side of the argument you can see that is not what happened.
In the words of the great Braavosi sage Eriatlov "The gods are not on the side of the big battalions, but on the side of those who shoot best".Your side of the argument so far appears to be stop complaining Braavosi/Rebel scum, or we'll shoot you.
How does Pentosi Senators leaving endanger you?No one was kidnapped. The argument seems to boil down to.
Pentos: Dude let me kill my own Senators and endanger the rest of them.
Qohor: Na man, Im not letting you do that.
Pentos: STOP OPPRESSING ME!!!!
It does endanger the integrity of the Senate if they are caught and ransomed, there is also the danger that they revealed away out of Qohor which could be equally used to get in by the city's enemies. It doesn't. Qohor was trying to protect them from the Dothraki. Texan didn't appreciate that.
