Doomed Wombat

It's a sarcastic remorse on Chaos' behalf.
1. noNot so long ago Midgard boasted that their army was at last better than our militia. In the spirit of friendly competition I propose we upgrade our militia.
Power Armour ho!
For all the hype about Lin I feel that Ridcully is almost as irreplaceable and at least as valuable.
@ The Thread Would it be rude to have Ridcully investigate Surt and or Dalve?
@Durin
1 Does Lin think he could train some people in the art of soul medicine? He has done it enough to be considered an expert.
2 Does Lin know enough about souls to create some form of soul exercise regime?
3 Has there been any change in how wildlife treat Ridcully?
3b What do the Sirens think of the most skilled mortal Diviner to ever live?
4 Did the Awakening have any effect on the wildlife? Many of the Avernus species are psykers after all.
5 Can Ridcully link with Klovis like he does with Tranth?
5b Would this help or hinder when trying to contact people over the warp?
6 (Just for fun) Which of our heroic individuals hunted down and killed the overgrown octopus that killed our beloved bureaucrat?
1. yes@Durin
1. Is Ridcully now good enough to properly examine Saint Lin without being blinded by his light?
2. Considering the formic Princess' diplomacy action didn't get mentioned in the update, have you decided that the formics are non-canon?
you do notHuh, I thought that the Eldar Gods were rescued from Slaanesh's guts and are now recuperating in the Webway.
@Durin do we have any idea what happened to the other Eldar Gods?
1. not the Krok@Durin
1. Is Ridcully willing to guess that the Destroyer (from his Ultramar divination) is the Krork?
2. Are the rest of the Eldar gods dead?
3. Does Ridcully think Gork and Mork can keep up the boost indefinitely? On the one hand they are orks exponential stuff like this is kind of their thing, but can they keep blessing their entire trillions strong species at the same time? They maybe stronger than chaos, but... on the other hand Orks do produce their own Waaagh energy.
4. When Ridcully says the warp rifts are gone, does he mean that in the sense that they're "gone" as in vanished and everything that was in them is gone, or gone as in the warp and reality are no long jumbled together, but the planets that were there are all still there as demon worlds?
5. Are there upgraded forms of the Master Researcher trait?
6. Under your new system could you give an example of the scale that Ophelia can now act on?
7. For future reference what did I get wrong in my Ahriman omake?
8. How have the admech reacted to the news of the Ork awakening and what to expect?
9. IIRC you once said that 500 was about 30 in terms of combat, what is 590 at?
10. Has/should the juv nat bonus of the PDF increase? They have had an increase in their toughness so the number of veterans they have should increase.
11. Any chance you can give an idea of how the admech is shifting? I've been noticing for a while now that there has been movement in the progressive vs conservative spoiler in the admech page. Are the numbers of progressives vs conservatives about the same now for instance?
Sorry for all the questions.
That reminds me @Shard @Enjou Seeing Ridcully's new boost and paragon trait maybe scrying when the chaos fleet will turn up is a good idea?
On the other hand our chances of learning it might be increased if we ask them to teach us, it can't hurt certainly and it might save us an action to research them and then do the power.
As for the other, maybe being on site at a forming rift might be fast enough.
1) Which world's civilians have the most buying power?
2) Once the Trust gets into the rhythm of the new, ork-ascended-galaxy, will the old tourism business start picking up again?
Also kinda crackish:
3) If so, how do you feel about Avernus opening its own survivalist/military theme park?
I saw this video and I thought it looked perfect for thrill seekers who need to spice up life above the drab Age of Strife norm.
On another note I now know what Jacob looks and acts and sounds like.
1. he thinks that they might get a bit weaker but not a lot, he could find out more if he tired but he basically says that the Orks are one of the oldest races in the galaxy, one of the most numerous, psychically powerful (sort of) and have worshiped the same 2 gods for that entire period. its not surprising that they are incredibly powerful when you thing of them like that@Durin
1. When the Abomination awoke, it was about as strong as the other Chaos Gods. Does Ridcully think the Gork/Mork power is similar to that? (Or is this to be answered with Greater Divination?)
a. If so, does he have like estimates on when their power might start weakening? (Greater Divination?)
2. These options valid for the Free Greater Divination?
a. Eldar..Pantheon?
b. Notable Powers
c. The State of the Galaxy
d. Ultramar, or what's left of it.
e. Tau (Assuming they exist)
f. Gods of any sort (Gork/Mork Differences, Ynnead, Chaos Gods..)
3. Does Ridcully have any aversion to Greater Divination choices, like if he doesn't want to Scry on Gork & Mork again, etc.
4. Has Ridcully's power and control boost changed his Witchsight significantly?
a. What does Ridcully look like in the warp anyway? According to Tamia/Xavier/Ophelia.
b. Did his power boost change his appearance in the warp?
/
Wondering if Ridcully's 'Major Diplomacy Boost' cancels out his abominable (2) Diplomacy with non-Avernites.
you canOhh, right, important question for the current plan:
We can double-up actions on Heal Soul, right, @Durin?
...right then.
Well that goes without saying.
Humm. In the Discworld setting there are beings that are 'more real' than conventional reality. Generally they are things either part of or related to fundamental forces like DEATH or Time. Ridcully might not be entirely human any more.
Eh I'm partial for buccaners for the Trust, but hey ho.
Add in offer them riddles and games from across the trust and potentially humanity if the Muspel archives have that in the culture section.Doing the Sphinx diplomacy as a write-in as requested since I can't think of anything better to do right now anyways.
Pretty sure it's Ridcully.2 Do we have any idea who the most skilled mortal diviner to ever live was/is?
At the moment yes, he's still going to die it'll just take 2000+ years
When did Ridcully get a reputation beyond the trust? His title as "The Oracle of Gods" is well deserved, and has spread far beyond the Imperial Trust.
Why?
Oh pooy.as a general note while most of the Warp Storms in the galaxy were extinguished by the Green Awakening a large number of them restarted shortly afterwards
mmmmm.
Bugger.
Ominous.7. you did not know what I was planning for him, unlike many characters I actually have a pretty detailed plan for what he is doing
Now we know we're op.
We did, but it's not that big yet.
I really think we should get our Immaterium Resonance done. Why Wellspring of Power over it?
Also we should get the rest of the Psychic Orders, Healer, Daemonhunter and Psykerhunter done in that order.
1. they viewed him as just another psyker before but now seem to respect him, and for the first time refer to him as a Seer...right then.
@Durin
1 What do the Sirens think of Ridcully?
2 Do we have any idea who the most skilled mortal diviner to ever live was/is?
3 ...is Ridcully still considered mortal?
Well that goes without saying.
Humm. In the Discworld setting there are beings that are 'more real' than conventional reality. Generally they are things either part of or related to fundamental forces like DEATH or Time. Ridcully might not be entirely human any more.
[X] Plan Enjou T101
Not entirely keen on trying to contact the Eldar before seeing what is up with his soul but I can see arguments either way. Everything else looks ok.
1. when the Warning of the Green Awakening started to spread. it is by no means galactic, or even segmentum wide but his title has still spread a lot further then anything but rumors of the Imperial TrustEh I'm partial for buccaners for the Trust, but hey ho.
Add in offer them riddles and games from across the trust and potentially humanity if the Muspel archives have that in the culture section.
Pretty sure it's Ridcully.
Edit never mind.
Ahriman maybe? Though whether he counts is a bit subjective.
At the moment yes, he's still going to die it'll just take 2000+ years
@Durin
1.
When did Ridcully get a reputation beyond the trust?
I mean Eldrad knows and I'm pretty sure Valinor's figured it out, but other than that he's kept a low profile.
Warp Whispers?
Alright I figured I should ask this outside of the thread to hopefully minimise your annoyance.
Sorry if this annoys you.
1. How does Ridcully's new paragon trait perceive the anti divination "floodlamps" that Avernus uses to block post cognition?
2. How far back in the past can Ridcully see, without any interference at all (I can't remember how far back you said after he went paragon, but it was a long long way)
3. Ok the big one: Can he see far enough back to see the creation of the STC we have... there done, I'm sorry please don't get too mad at me.
1. pretty well
2. tens of thousand of years now
3. actually yes he can, if only just. I very almost did not give him this trait because of this.
Well... huh.
@Durin
1. Does the Avernus block count as a divine ward, or something which doesn't count as a ward?
Damn that must be weird.
2. Eh EROR 404.
2i. Ok is this enough for him to show Tranth visions so he can attempt a repair?
2ii. Should I sit on this or can I tell the thread?
3. Anything on the Primarch omake I did?
1. something that does not cunt as a ward
2i. maybe, try
2ii. tell the thread
It hasn't done much and it's effect is a passive reinforcing of our body, so not a huge deal. Not sure what you mean here, if it is actual size, than I thought it resized automatically?
After all it did fit an ork.
