The level 50 Perk isn't comparable to what can be gained from even more Invention actions.
Remove your plan line, it fucks up the tallies. Only use a plan line if you couple it with indents.

Where is this doubling coming from? Toolbots?
Yeah toolbots gives us two actions for each 1 action spent on inventions, actually just read Toolbots again and we will need a GM ruling on if it works with free invention actions or just minor and major actions.

We're going to have to lock down opening new trees after all-25 if we want to keep having enough Perk Points to advance the ones we already have.
Right now we would gain 50 perks
Perks needed for Psyker: 26
Invention: Practical: 5
Education: Culture: 2
Speech Diplomacy: 5 (not unlocked yet)
33 unlocked and 5 locked, so 12 left over. Also we can hit level 51 next turn for another 2 perks so 14 left over.

Possible:
Perception Objects and Environment (+Loot Rolls and +Detection Rolls- note bonus to rolls as opposed to checks)
Combat: Melee- 9

Medicine, Electronics, Evasion and Explosives are too low to see if the higher perks are worthwhile, same with Combat: Stealth and Ranged.

14 perks points which we will need when we enter the Advanced Skills. Opening Perception or Combat perk tree is exactly what I said we shouldn't do - it's incredibly short-sighted.

EDIT : In fact, you made an error, we have Education : Culture 100, 120, 140, 160 and 200.

The only one we don't have is :
Education: Culture: 180 Perk. Cultural Assembly. You can make detailed reports on cultures you interact with, aiding your diplomats. Doubles the number of integration actions that can be taken per turn. Must have CC
which we just need to take if we expand our domain too fast. It's a wait-and-see

Exactly. Psyker perks are the ONLY perks we should be picking up from base skills here on it.

I'm actually tempted to make my 3rd perk a psyker perk, since the advanced perks will surpass all the base ones.

Each Perk tree has 10 Perks Perks per rank, which means 50 in total, barring special Perks like the Murphy ones, or unusual trees like Psyker.

We need to get all our skills to 200 to start tagging advanced skills though, and 12 left over from level 50 with some gains should keep us able to buy up the advanced skills once we start training them. As it is for environment and object since they provide a boost to rolls we can dip and only take a perk or two from the tree and still see major benefits. The level 40 of each is a +10 to rolls (60 requires the 40 or 20 perk) so dipping and grabbing the 40 of environment and objects only takes two perks but gives a +10 to two important rolls. (Critical loot rolls is how we got the crystals that are boosting our combat, control and power to 50)

Perception: Objects: 40 Perk. Great Eye! You have an amazing eye for detail. +20 to Perception Checks. +10 to loot rolls.

The bonus to the loot roll can be big, and may edge us into critical territory, as it is I think it would be worth spending a perk on both 40s just for a boost to the rolls but we can stop there and save the other perks for advanced skills (like the advanced education 20 perks we unlock next turn).

Remind me where this talk of a Perksplosion come All-25 comes from please?
Either once we get all STATS to 25 we get 25 perks, or once we get perks equal to our level...which is twice that. Uncertain myself.

Edit: Ninja'd.

Also, @ilbgar123, what's the deal with exp? I know you said you'd be adding a zero on after every level, but I guess I thought it'd be something like 1000->10000->100000, etc. Instead you kept the 6, so we have 6000 -> 60000 -> 600000? That's way more.

No, Level 50 and Level 100 are soft-caps, where the Exp for the next Level gains a place. Levels go up to 1000, it's just that most people never get very far past 50, never mind 100.

Should be noted that we got the crystals after getting 3 nat 1's leading to creatures from another dimension invading us. Don't think anything like that is ever going to happen again.

No, I didn't mean the level, I meant the exp. We went from something like 650 to 6500 exp, and presumably 65000 in the future. Compared to 1000 -> 10000 like I expected, that's a full 5500, then 55000 more exp per level. Increasing.

We also triple critted the loot roll as a positive to get the crystals. As it is critting loot rolls will always be nice, and spending a single perk to improve the chance of a loot crit by 10% is worth it, same with 10% boost to detection rolls through perception environment, unless we can take advanced perks without any of the basic perks (and since we should unlock the advanced education 20's perks we can see that then).

It took two triple crits to get that reward. We need our advanced perks. A small bonus to a niche, rarely used thing, is not worth the huge bonuses and action amplifiers ee can get elsewhere.

.....o_O No? That isn't what this means?
Excuse me, 6,000 exp required next, then probably 60,000.
140/590 to Level 50.
1 Level gained. Currently possess 3 Perk points. 140/6000 to next level.

When I saw this:
AN: Don't expect another glut of Levels like this. Firstly because 50 is a soft-cap, and a 0 is added to the end of the required Exp from that point on
I thought we'd be facing either an exponential escalation (*10 every level), or a linear increase (+1000 every level), which is why I was confused when I saw we went from 590 to 6000 (+5410), and asked for clarification.

It means that next level will be either 6100, or 6010, depending on how he runs it. (probably 6100)

Note it doesn't say add a zero to the required amount every level.

Lvl 49 to Lvl 50 was 590 xP
Lvl 50 to Lvl 51 is 6 000 xP
Lvl 51 to Lvl 52 is 6 100 xP

Lvl 99 to Lvl 100 will be 11 000 xP
Lvl 100 to Lvl 101 will be 111 000 xP
