Hear me out—what if we just took all the blue options? (Per the current rules, we can spend one free action on Actions without reducing the effectiveness of Relaxing or incurring Stress.)

Also tossing an approval to every plan with two blue options (plus Syrax, which may be a blue option since it's a write-in).

Both Crone and Stalwart Maiden cover a weakness of ours—Stalwart Maiden our longstanding privilege and alienation from the people, Crone our new inability to rely on the Grand Maester. But we can address the former in other ways, like not being so isolated in the Red Keep or the royal procession all the time, while as we have seen the Grand Maester is harder to replace without resort to extreme measures.

The bad feelings go both ways; the Dornish weren't happy at being unjustly accused, and came away from their King's Landing trip with a dimmed view of the rest of the Realm (many such cases, King's Landing is not kind to foreigners). We'll have to work extra hard at counteracting that impression when visiting Sunspear ourselves, or else Dorne might not give its utmost support to our bid for the Iron Throne.

we can go straight to Sunspear after Dragonstonecation, right? i wonder if it would be worth it to do a single Study action for diplomacy or etiquette while Rhaenyra is on vacay, to prepare for the excellent impression she will need to make.

She's already a natural charmer, but brushing up can only help.

I'd argue that experience with being a septa teaching the people and caring for the poor would give a much more grounded and in depth view of the people than any that we could gain ourselves; not that that's a reason to not try anyway even if Alicent does get it. I will admit a large part of my desire for the Stalwart Maiden is because Alicent would find joy from going there however.

As for which plan to go with, I do feel like trying to just relax right now won't be that effective just from Rhaenyras feeling that its a waste of time. Talking with Alicent and destressing while practicing the harp seems more likely to work though and I do agree with the need to take at least two stress lowering actions.

Oh I don't say that because of this particular turn, just that its less effective in general from being Diligent. The description for its been saying that ever since we gained it.

Daemon pretty much gave the voices in Rhaenyras head exactly what they wanted.

And even in character based off the conversation Rhaenyra actually had with Daemon, she knows his insecurities, and insecurities are like 90% of who Daemon Targaryen is.

Lmao what. How the hell is Orwyle gonna make the Peakes, and only the Peakes plus other "bad" houses rebel. Jesus this is the exact same "oh I'm sure it'll just work out" ostrich-head-in-sand wishful thinking that started this mess.

He is the person now in charge of ensuring Rhaenyra lives during childbirth. Or if she gets sick. Or injured in Kings Landing. He is also in charge of handeling every single letter Rhaenyra could send while in the Red Keep. He has much more obvious ways to protect himself against what he believes is a crazy murderer Rhaenyra other than inciting The World's Most Convinient Rebellion (tm) and if he does go the inciting rebellion route he is 100% in a position to make it a shit show on the scale of Robert's and Canon Dance combined

And if it were a choice between Relaxing and taking something else blue, that would certainly tip the scales against Relaxing and towards its alternative. But we can in fact fit in everything blue this turn, and take two-and-a-half effective actions towards lowering Stress rather than just two. So if we're really serious about Stress, and we should be, we're three fifths of the way to a breaking point, and are taking on more Stress by talking to Johanna after granting her request to stick around, we should only drop Relaxing if we believe another, non-blue option will secretly be more efficacious in lowering Stress. And some might! Talking or flying with Syrax, for instance, might be worth gambling on.

We have turn 18 set aside to spend time relaxing with Alicent out of view with no else around to be distractions or sources of stress. I don't think we need make this turn purely about destressing two. We're also liable to practice the harp for Qoren as well.

We had this turn set aside to do that, and then delayed it a turn at the Queen's request, so we could talk to her and accrue more Stress. Which we are doing. On top of having accrued twelve Stress so far from Daemon's antics, with potentially more on the way. We need to get this under control.
