We do this, and we solve our problems with Melos and its ineffective treatment immediately, which is great for both Viserys' health and Nyra's peace of mind.
Besides that, if we don't do it now, we will lose the chance of tackling this issue for the next 6 months (since we will spend turn 17 out of King's Landing) and that is half of Orwyle's estimation until Viserys loses his arm...

This is my main reason tbh. Viserys's health is ticking down in the background, and Orwyle's treatment can only slow that clock, not reverse the damage. We don't have a year-long deadline situation where everything will be just fine if we act before it; we have an estimate of when the decline will hit a significant threshold, and how much that estimate is gonna change depends on when we act.
Okay just so everythings clear and copacetic with talking to Daemon about Visery's health, here's a possible pros and cons list:
-Cons:
-Stress gain
-Daemon murders or has Maester Mellos murdered
-Otto finds out we were involved and is pissed his man was murdered
-We owe Daemon
-Daemon does absolutely nothing due to his own reasons
-Master Orwyle figures out we were involved in the murder of Maester Mellos and we lose chances of ingratiating ourselves with him
-Daemons murder of Maester Mellos is discovered and he's exiled again, causing stress to Viserys.
-Pros:
-Viserys is finally recieving proper treatment
-Whatever Daemon does to get Maester Mellos to step down will be quicker than our attempts to do it the clean way
-Daemon gets caught and exiled
-Daemon feels he owes us (Might be considered a con)
-Viserys may not lose an arm for a while longer and even survive longer than canon due to the speed of Daemons solution
-Maybe Daemon is reasonable for once and simply helps us argue that Viserys should try Maester Orwyles treatments
Overall, going to Daemon about Viserys' health has the potential to be ugly, bloody and harm some relations if our part is figured out, but it has the upside of being very quick and potentially saving Visery's arm for longer, and also no rolls involved.
While doing things diplomatically by getting Otto or Mellos on board might fail due to rolls or bad arguments, and take longer thus ensuring Visery's health gets worse, but also ensuring we don't harm relations with anyone.

Edit: Mellos did ask to have us removed as heir, so maybe him dying isn't a con depending on how strongly you feel about that.

Edit: a potential relationship hit with Otto if he finds out we went to ask Daemon to get his man murdered (absolute wildcard move) is a pretty significant con when we still need to tell him we intend to bang his daughter... still doesn't outweigh the rest of the arguments for me, but damn, that's one tasty situation

I very much doubt this would happen, Daemon is still a chaos trash goblin, but it is undoubtedly that he loves Viserys deeply, he may fuck up the execution, BUT he will definitely try to help and I very much doubt that Daemon will ask Nyra for anything in return, he will most likely be thankful to us.

I care about speed, I care about not being the only one against this status quo of it's fine for the kings health to suffer given we have an heir and the alternative is ruffling the maester's feathers. Let's try a solution we've stumbled upon.

Daemon will definitely appreciate Rhaenyra treating him as Viserys's brother first and caring about Viserys over the politics.
Realistically, Daemon still has his men from the city watch. They'd be pretty capable of carrying out a murder after Daemon gives them order, with Daemon and Rhaenyra both serving as Each other's alibis. "We've been in this room the entire time, putting old grudges to rest, isn't that right Rhaenyra?"

IF Mellos could be convinced, Otto would have done it already. He's a stubborn old man sure in his knowledge and close minded to the unfamiliar, doubling down on techniques which are not working because he's made up his mind to use them same as he always has.
Yea i'm sure the roll needed would be hard, but on a meta level, we can roll really well on the dice and convince the old bastard, it's not impossible, just tough.
Threatening probably has a better chance anyways.

Seeing many of the fine plans that rise to the occasion and pursue the well being of all I feel the need to increase levity and enjoyment of the plan making session by proposing a plan that does not rise to the occasion and instead pursue side quests Shinies. It even include the free Heraldy action that is not contained by any other plan.
Explaination
1. We haven't speak with Westerling in ages. In effort to fill time and reenact casual fun of childhood let's talk with our former Sworn shield.
2. We really got a good chemistry going with Obara. Let's spark relationship and maintain warrior mutual respect.
3. Rhaenys is the Girl Boss and the moderate voice of Velaryon Power Couple. Let's stop talking to boring, arrogant, and ambitious Corlys and instead talk with another Dragonrider the is full of Girl Boss knowledge.
4. The city where the people live and the city where the cheap meat pie is sold. Let's go in adventurous and carefree merrymaking and food gobbling in the city. (Please ignore the possibility of meeting Mysaria entirely. She as one of the best spymaster is too intense for this casual plan.)
5. Knight needs a Squire. Rhaenyra also have great parental instinct and can handle children just fine. Imagine this small child that believe in Knighthood Value trotting behind us everywhere we go.
6. Winning knight have winning money. Give charities, gorge on cheap street foods, shower our newly acquired Squire with parental gift, and buying gifts for Alicent are some of the limitless possibility we can do with 3,500 gold dragons.
Also provision ourselves with Personal Armor to enter tourney and face down possible trial of the Seven with our head intact. Need to prevent the tragic tale of brilliant heir killed before their time.
7. In defiance of tradition, family prestige, and heir legitimacy; I propose a heraldry of mailed fist. The Punchline.

Not much of a chance if there even is one. He's the man who was first to suggest setting Rhaenyra aside. He's also old, unwilling to try "untested" poultices, and was educated in a male-exclusive organization that hoards knowledge. Rhaenyra is a seventeen year old woman. If she tried to argue with him about medical treatment, the sheer condescension he'd answer with would probably drip off the screen.
