Though this is still Azel's Qoren and I was hoping for Teen Spirit's.
I'm honestly baffled that the style difference is apparently that obvious.
This might be me mixing up canon and another fanfic actually, so possibly disregard. My recollection is that both he and his brother felt slighted in canon that a woman denied them or something like that.
It wasn't obvious to me ngl, I assumed Zimmerwald said that because of TS's note that you wrote much of the Qoren part (stellar work btw)I'm honestly baffled that the style difference is apparently that obvious.
Thank you for the answer.Negotiations will be an ongoing thing so you can absolutely still sound out other options while that's going on and just decline whatever offer Qoren makes at the end. You can't negotiate formally while actual negotiations are taking place though.
No, I'm just an extremely perceptive and discerning readerI assumed Zimmerwald said that because of TS's note that you wrote much of the Qoren part (stellar work btw)
The real question is if this includes The Dornishman's Wife."Songs of Dorne, of course," he said with a small smile while setting down the box on the table in between you, next to the bowl of dates, raisins and dried figs. "It would feel strange to gift you an instrument without a a few pieces to play on it, and this is my personal collection of songs that I wished to learn to play since my childhood."
The only personal concern about him here is "did you want to get married right now?" - which is a not specific to Qoren, and also less of a problem than it seems given that the marriage negotiations would take considerable time.Your heart hammered within your chest as you considered your options. In many ways, Qoren was everything you wanted from a husband. Accepting of Alicent, warm, romantic, a man who did not shame you for your skill with a blade. And yet did you want to get married right now? Did you really want a marriage that would enrage two entire kingdoms and cause so much grief and hassle for all involved? Did you really want at least one of your future children to carry the Martell name instead of your own?
To be fair, there's also another strong concern in a personal-political snarl: how does Rhaenyra "Terrified Of Pregnancy" Targaryen feel about the obligation to produce heirs and spares for two thrones instead of one? Not to mention Rhaenyra "Considers Her Strength (And, By Extent, Her Health) Part Of Her Identity" Targaryen. (And, to a smaller extent, Rhaenyra "Screw You, I'm Not A Broodmare" Targaryen - probably won't be a concern if she's married to someone she actually likes, but still). The only personal concern about him here is "did you want to get married right now?" - which is a not specific to Qoren, and also less of a problem than it seems given that the marriage negotiations would take considerable time.
I mean this is show based not book based and we're physically already very different to canon Rhaenyra so we probably won't have the issue with pregnancy weight that book Rhaenyra does (she struggled to lose it, and because Patriarchy this was considered a moral failing of her). Not to mention Rhaenyra "Considers Her Strength (And, By Extent, Her Health) Part Of Her Identity" Targaryen. Well, our Rhaenyra doesn't know about any of this anyway - she only knows that her own mother greatly suffered, grew weak from repeated pregnancies, and ultimately died in childbirth in a rather horrifying fashion - and only one of the children lived, Rhaenyra herself. That's the personal issue.I mean this is show based not book based and we're physically already very different to canon Rhaenyra so we probably won't have the issue with pregnancy weight that book Rhaenyra does (she struggled to lose it, and because Patriarchy this was considered a moral failing of her).
Oh huh, nice idea! I hope we'll be able to make friends, or at least friendly acquaintances, with some Dornish women. That doesn't change the other issues with pregnancy and our prowess, but presumably one upside to a Dornish marriage is that Dorne might have enough warrior women to have tips and tricks.
...it would be actually hilarious (if upsetting) if the quest ended because of a bad labor rollSadly none of it fixes the whole "dying in childbirth" thing... I wonder if we'll be rolling for that actually. Or the other issues.
