Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] Kill it, it's what Bob would want, that nothing of the part of himself he is so ashamed of could life on

He's not worth it. We'll still end up with Eldritch undead horror, and a nephilim in a bag from this arc.

Frankly, I hope that the fallout of this arc will not ruin the crafting plan. And yes, I hope we buy VEE already. And I think we need crafting advantages even more, because it is doubtful that the new exalts will be able to compare to Molly in this.

By the way, we may have a breakdown in our plans later... Or we will face the consequences of this arc immediately during the next actions of this move.

The main question is, are the Abyssal chains as rotten as Molly's? What about their resonance and so on. What rules do they use?

[X] Capture Other Bob, you're sure he can be of some use

It's the better decision. Practically, Bob is a useful focus, and a font of knowledge we should have. Not to use, most likely, but to know so we can combat it's uses better. He should have some knowledge on how Lydia was made, and if she is the only one to be made in such fashion. His knowledge should be useful in helping incarnate LoV. He should be a font of necromantic knowledge which Lydia could study - again, not to use, but to know how to combat its users, it's knowledge represents a branch of magic that is completely absent in Sanctuary and, thus, should damn well be recorded I a secure manner.

On moral level, if he's helpless, and can be compelled to serve, I cannot easily justify just murdering him. Not after we decided to help LoV. And we are not THAT low on essence right now. It's not a matter of survival.

You mess with the Queen, you better not miss. And Evil Bob did, indeed, miss.

Yog he is literally the hyper evil negative half of a spirit who isn't even very nice to start with. He's complicit in an exhaustive list of possible crimes against everyone. He speaks in a funny german accent to emphasize that he is a literal nazi. Molly is swimming in morally questionable power sources, and even just escorted one such being out of ancient super hell. If you want a spooky assistant we just freed four Abyssals we need to go find.
I would rather Mollly date the Naagloshii.

Fuck this guy lmao.
EDIT:

BronzeTongue makes a compelling argument.

[0] Capture Other Bob, you're sure he can be of some use

EDIT 2:

Fuck it I've changed my mind again.

"VAT HAF YOU DONE!" the dark spirit you had chased all the way to Egypt screams in terror.

I am going to be honest here: it is good to see this reaction from him after the gloating at the beginning.

Evil bob, my guy, what did you think would happen when you sent Molly down there? That she would die? She has proven several times that it doesn't tend to be how it goes, and that when she moves, she not only moves fast but comes back with allies.

And yeah, no, not going for keeping the guy alive, that is how you end up with your ennemies breaking him out and now he has all your secrets in addition to what he had before.

LoV is an ancient evil superweapon responsible for far more death and misery than Evil Bob. Him being a spirit is a good thing - Sanctuary knows how to contain and deal with spirits.

LoV is an ancient evil superweapon
Unlike evil Bob. L o v didn't start as apart of a good or very least neutral entity and rip itself out because that entity was not evil enough for it. And in fact seems to have walked back it's creation as a dread super weapon. Evil Bob chose to be evil Bob he ripped himself clean the fuck out of Bob because he wanted to be more actively evil. There's also the fact that it's questionable weather Lamentations of the Void even had agency near it's the beginning of its existence which is the complete opposite of evil Bob who has used his agency to mutilate a corpse and shove it in some walls and actively assist and help Nazis.

He cannot give us anything that bob cannot, at least nothing that we could trust him with farther than we can throw our world body using our current human one.

LoV was interested in not being an ancient superweapon, this guy is literally the part of bob that wanted to stay evil, the redemption of bob has already happened, and he is in Harry's basement and enjoying the good life.

Taking a day for space I think that getting into the argument about deliberately bringing in more when we're dealing with an accidental release is pointless. Yog was right about it being a bad idea to get into.

I still think I'm right, and frankly am annoyed by some the arguments being presented that try to tell I mean something other than what I'm saying, so if anyone wants to keep going I will. However, I think you can see it sucking the fun out of the thread in the steep drop in number of replies. So how about we wait till we're voting to poke that aspect of the exalted problem to do this again?

If there's ever been a good reason to stress eat it's this one. :V

… though I'm somewhat concerned about how good an idea it is to eat souls in front of the recovering undead grey goo.

Take him to Sanctuary to be shuffled offscreen, sure, but don't kill when we don't have to.

Kill him and necromancers will be fishing for him by Tuesday. I more sure we can keep him locked up than dead.
Fishing for what we have a spirit killer we will be blending him into non-existence when we kill him. What fractions aren't blended into non-existence will be consumed by us any Necromancer trying to dig would be reaching for something that doesn't exist or became a part of us.
