So, why did we put coilguns on these designs again?

I thought the whole point of this mech company was to be a "secret" front, which is kind of hard to do if you show off weaponry no one else has.
(And yeah, I should have mentioned this more during the design phase, but
A) I don't know the system
B) I was running behind)
In the case they encounter an enemy, we'd like our guys to actually win instead of getting their shit kicked by barely trained conscripts using the bottom of the barrel of the Quikscell catalogue. The only weapons we have that are Inner Sphere standard are machine guns and melee weapons.

@HeroCooky rather than forgrtting about ejection seats, I'd chalk the ejection problems to lack of institutional knowledge due to ground side ejection sewts not being a thing IRL. Because in IRL armored ground designs it encounters the problem of "how do we yeet the pilot through the top armor without killing them in the process or compromising said armor, while making sure they are yeeted high and fast enough to not get splashed on impact".

And the fact that the primary use of the ejection seat IRL is in case a plane just stops working catastrophically and you need to get out without going splash. When an IRL ground vehicle stops working catastrophically without endong up wrapped around the scenery, you do the "oh god the tank is on fire" drill and get out.

One trick pony, and I'm now very leery of making Assault Mechs until we get 'better' on making Mechs. Will be funny though with the Jump Pack. Reckon we could yeet this design to Solaris Arena instead of using it wholesale for melee-only fights? I think we'll end up having to build up from Light Mechs to Omega Mechs in eventuality whilst updating the current designs we have starting with the Trooper and any future Lighter Mechs we make... @_@;
