@Mayto Can you tell me what the explicit (de)buffs for the rest of the enhancements from the previous phase would have been? I'd like to slot them in to my collection of cool homebrew ideas.
Id be cool with sending you the info over Discord. I'd rather not post it all in public, as that might make people start pointing fingers due to a choice not being 'optimal'. My discord name is the same as my profile here.
This is fantastic. @Mayto No pressure at all but would you be willing to very briefly describe how one of the builds that lean completely into psyker power would be different from the one we picked? a path not taken if you will.
Well, If you'd had a weak body, you'd be slowly hovering over the battlefield making stuff around you turn inside out without doing your punches. :D
Also how are psyker's sanctioned outside Terra? I thought sanctioning was just what they called soul bonding to the emperor in universe.
Its a bit of a canon snarl with some lore referring to Soul binding as just done to Astropaths. Others say its done to all Psykers.

Sanctioning just refers to having a Psyker whose stability and loyalty are vouched for. A rogue Psyker can be sanctioned by an Inquisitor for instance and avoid the entire process, If they're a rare functional psyker.

In general it refers to examining the mind and soul for weaknesses, a series of trials to determine what the Psyker is capable of, and implanting cybernetics to help stabilize the Psyker..

It still tickles me pink that Occam uses telekinesis by basically punching the air and a battlesuit several miles away gets its pilot schlorped out of the back of the cockpit.

Smite will be a punch that launches lightning, gate of infinity is gonna be Occam punching and using the recoil of his fists to teleport :V

The punch was much more close range.

The railgun flip was punishing a Battlesuit for shooting the same spot each time, so you could know where the round was coming and focus your power there

I think I'd like to get closer to the local Rogue Trader House. They're always the ones one should go to if you want the real exotic and questionably legal shit.

True (and arguably a return to sender using a railgun shot is cooler) but for sheer comedic value I'll hang onto the mental image I conjured up of a buff Conan the Barbarian looking Occam punching the air and destroying battlesuits by knocking the pilots into outer-space Team Rocket style.

Rookie mistake, really. Snipers are supposed to relocate between shots.
Thats the advantage of the Imperial Guard spamming Chimeras! The Tau Battlesuit was firing his railgun as fast as he could, coring Chimera after Chimera to try and slow down the tide of the vehicles. Relocating was a luxury in that situation!

Battlesuits are connected to the Tau battle networks and computer systems. So if someone was aiming a heavy weapon towards his firing position, he'd have engaged the jump-jets and skeddaddled. And he can survive a shot from most Imperial Guard heavy weapons. Especially from that range.

Only some Gue'La somehow
Caught his railgun round in a barrier of invisible energy.
Used the railgun round to psychically project to his location.
Froze his battlesuit in place.
Then Flipped the railgun round around so it flew back and hit the battlesuit.

Come on guys go for the Archmagos, Occam and her pupils need the Premium Quality Chrome...
Except every 40k quest seems to slobbering over getting the best tech they can and then upteching as much as possible, and that's not really what the Imperium is about. I'd like to do some politicking with the people outside those spheres at first.
