If we really want to add Rouge and Omega to our retinue, then we must put some of our Personal to building counter measure againts them. It's clear to all parties how this is only temporary, and knowing them, their method of saying goodbye is going to be stealing some of our Objects of Power. Currently being either the Emerald or the Spear. Which also convinces me building the Fake Emerald is a must now just in order to make Rouge hesitate.
In case once we study the spear and pass the DC we can lose as many as we want.
We will have the capability of making another one of the same or even better quality.

The thing is, I doubt Rogue will be tricked by a fake Emerald. She has experience with jewels, trinkets and rarities, spotting a fake is all too easy for her.
Best we can do is install the Emerald into Metal Sonic for the time being and study the lance, we'll be able to make our own better versions in the future.

The thing is even Shadow has difficulties recognizing the fake. So there should be a decent chance of it tricking her.

I wonder, if we send her to infiltrate the Empire and she finds the Chaos Emerald, will she tell us about it? Or steal it for herself? I'm sure she'll take this temporary alliance seriously, but I wouldn't be surprised if she were very hesitant at the thought of giving us, Eggman, another Emerald.

Yeah she is the Trickry Hero from Sonic Franchise much like we are the Brains King. She will know the difference, specially if is a jewel.

Random thought: instead of a fake emerald, why not make an emerald with the exact same power output as the Original?

If Eggman could I think he would have done that a long time ago.
If Eggman succeeds at that, at that point we might as well make the Super Emeralds from Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

I'm still have a suspicion that the old Diamond Cutters might have been revived. So we need to keep an eye out for them. Though now that I think about it....their psychic (Claire) might try to read our mind....only to meet US (SV Eggman).
I like the idea of somehow manifesting SV Eggman....and we can verbally/mentally break whoever we talk to (like the Logic Plague!)
I'm working under the assumption that artifacts like the Valkyur Lance and a Chaos Emerald are way, way beyond our ability to create. It is definitely beyond us right now (we can't even make Tier 3 badniks yet) but also something we'll potentially never be capable of recreating. The fake is one thing, because it's a heck of a lot weaker, and also we're stealing the idea from Tails. But making a new Chaos Emerald? Making a Valkyur lance when we just discovered ragnite a month ago?
The chaos emeralds yes.
The lance on the other hand?
We are literally bringing back lost knowledge from Gallia back to life.
Of course no doubt making another lance will be hella difficult, like I don't doubt the thing will cost at least 200 ragnite minimum to even try to make that again and a hefty DC.
But the fact we can make Ragnite as of old I don't doubt is hella heavy for those that actually know of VC.
I just read some of the wiki and know this was possible on the past in Gallia but the knowledge on how to do it was lost.
