By the way, I think the conclusion of the duel is a fitting one for Arnold. So much bluster, so much arrogance and he gets dispatched almost as an afterthought.

As far as it goes, and I know it doesn't feel like it, but technically the only bit of Stress that harms us is the 100th point of Stress.

Obviously we wouldn't want to get up to the point where a stiff breeze could cause a breakdown, but we're... honestly pretty fine? Maybe get it down to the twenties over the next turn or two just to be safe.

Rhaenyra slays, literally, you love to see it. Rest in piss Arnold, you were a fool to the end.

I'm kind of sad we don't have Harwin with us atm, I think he'd have an interesting perspective on this.

Legend of the Princess Knight grows, build some comaraderie with our future fellows.

[X] If the Seven guided your blade, they might be willing to guide you too. Go to the sept.

I'd be for finding religion. It seems like it'd be pretty helpful to share a religion with our subjects + gf. Also this seems like it publicly has the right amount of public consideration of what we did. We're not some heartless monster who can kill people and be unaffected, but we're also not having a crisis about it.

Tarly means well, but I'm kind of worried that the talking to the knights could backfire. It's be in character for the average knight to treat us being affected by having killed someone as a sign of weakness or unsuitability, even if they were just as affected. Tarly and Gwayne are the likely safe exceptions, but we're already talking to Tarly. This is also the option that sees us talking to the most people and so has the largest potential for spreading rumors or bad image.

To be honest I don't think there's any wrong answer here, it feels like the Harrenhall vision vote, where each choice has it's own benefits, I don't think QM is trying to trick us and that each choice will have some hidden negative, I think it's more along the lines of if we choose one option we get those benefits and the only downside is we lose out on the other choices benefits.

Edit: Also I would argue that hiding ourselves away in a sept could be seen in a worse light versus immediately walking out of our chambers and speaking with veteran warriors, at least that's my hypothesis, I don't mind if any vote wins tbh, heck, i'm one of the few Faith of the Seven fans it seems.

This is the closest we're getting to a group therapy sessions, for the sake of our burgeoning PTSD we should probably learn how to manage it

I think that talking with knights will A) potentially yield real advice on how to healthily cope with taking a life, and B) potentially help our reputation as a budding knight. We will always be set a bit apart from other knights due to our gender, but we can still engage in good faith. Will there be knights who talk shit? Absolutely, but that's where we already are. One of our core ambitions is to become a knight, and that means socially engaging with Westerosi knighthood.

As for the Sept as a backup, I'm gonna be honest- I'm mostly for that because our girlfriend takes it seriously, and also it would be an amusing inversion of the OTL Dance if Rhaenyra is a Seven-aligned claimant instead of the last gasp of Targaryens-as-culturally-Valyrian.

Several grammar fixes:
I suppose the big stress hit makes sense. Good to get it out of the way at least, doubt this is the last man we'll need to kill.

Pretty adorable how outraged Alicent is on her behalf.

[X] Go and see Syrax. A flight around the Giant's Lance might clear your head.

The important thing wasn't avoiding the stress anyway

The important thing was shutting down Arnold's downright treasonous rhetoric before it gained any traction

The stuff Arnold was saying, straight to Rhaenyra's face, would have cost him his head anyway
The only reason he felt comfortable saying it here was because he didn't take Rhaenyra seriously and didn't expect anyone else to either
That attitude cannot be allowed to persist

Doing it personally makes for a particularly striking counterpoint that'll stick around in people's heads in a way that having Ser Tarly do it for Rhaenyra wouldn't
