Honestly, I feel like Animal Husbandry fits the request the best. We are being entrusted with the care of cattle. Cowboys... does it, but not to dame extent thay I feel animal husbandry does. Beside with animal husbandry, maybe we can make this warband into proper shepherd dogs. Though perhaps dogs would be a better obsession?

Perhaps but do you really believe that we won't encounter hostiles trying to kill or steal the cattle? Cowboying up helps will likely give us to tools to not only survive on Paale but thrive considering cowboys did things like establishing frontier towns in addition to wrangling cattle.

And making epic duels. In our case: with blessed frost bolter in one hand and frostsword in another
