Wait a moment, what does Lord Strong get out of us becoming Master of Laws, won't that means he just loses his seat on the Small Council?

Lord Strong's problem is that he actually wants to realm to do well, and often suggests the best thing for the realm itself instead of specifically himself. He's a genuinely good guy which is a bad thing sometimes, but that is what he is.

As others have mentioned, show wise Lyonel Strong tends to focus on what he believes (And it's important to note this is his own opinion, he did believe Viserys marrying Laena was the best option politically after all) is best for the realm, even over his immediate interests. Plus Daemon was briefly Master of Laws and then Coin and Strong and Beesbury both returned to respective seats eventually. Lyonel likely believes he'll be given a spot without a specific role while Rhaenyra fills his original seat.

[X] Thank him for the offer but decline

She cant be half a ruler, if the men wont follow a woman she needs to challenge the notion that women cant lead, afterall a king or queen is a leader.

Well, sacred hospitality and the fact that she is supposed to be a healer have a lot to do with it...
Alys as a servant and a bastard would not be held responsible for a breach of guest-right in any event, even if she was bound by it (which she might not be, if she's not considered part of the household offering hospitality). The head of the household bears that responsibility.

While this would be overall Lyonel Strongs problem, that doesn't exactly save her from consequences. If she harmed us in any way, she would get drawn and quartered as part of the damage control.

Of course we have to accept Lyonel's mentoring, he's one of the few people liable to be straight with us and give us solid advice that would serve Rhae well. Also opens up the possibility of getting closer to Harwin, who would be a good friend/sparring partner and a valuable asset in the future. The Strongs are good friends to have.
