The rationale for the math for the former makes sense to me, but I really like the narrative potential of the latter.
On a completely different note, I hope we get a future scene with Princess using Black Swan's cape as a security blanket or something. The smol child didn't get her autograph and funnel cake, but she did get a souvenir. Also imagining the multilevel headache it might give Monarch is kinda funny.

Hmm, what if...

Step 1) Handyman transforms into a Blackswan-themed marketable plushie

Step 2) Leave the plushie in an apartment that's about to get robbed by Monarch's goons

Step 3) The goons take it back to Monarch as a gift for her daughter

Step 4) Handyman waits until Monarch is alone with her daughter, un-transforms, kills Monarch and rescues the daughter

Step 5) Escape?

Edit: Also ya know... if he even manages to escape with her. I have a feeling he would get eviscerated before leaving Monarchs territory. Theres entering the lions den and then theres entering it and exprcting to NOT get caught.

I like redemption as much as the next guy, but I really do not see a peaceful way out for Monarch. Even if she turns to good, she is still one of the most wanted people in the city with a huge list of past crimes, and has the hunted Princess with her. At best she either flees the city alone, or goes back to Super Jail. I suppose if JU became sufficiently strong we could just recruit her into our own ranks and dare anyone to come after her? Would be moral but not really good for PR.

Theres no need to risk Project Prometheus for some rep points especially when we can surely pass by just having 1 member on the sidelines.
