Who's to say that people knowing about Handy couldn't be a good thing? We just trade the surprise factor for them making more paranoid mistakes, afraid that someone could have been replaced by Handy.

Tbh I wanted to say I don't buy this being a benefit at all. It's just a poor consolation prize.

Now, you can argue that Rhys' powers would eventually become known to our enemies regardless, but the whole "oh the paranoia will force our enemies to be on guard and make more mistakes" angle is just copium.

This is a superpower setting so people are going to have measures for all sorts of things anyway. You see it with stuff like Mona exposing the existence of psychic spies, we would have been likely worse off not having any awareness of the threat. Defining a threat just stops it from being an outside context problem.

Now, if you want to argue that there's relatively less value in keeping him as a hidden knife because Powers and by extension anyone affiliated with them already know we have a shapeshifter, but even then the infiltrator threat is worse if they have as little details on his capabilities and limitations as possible.

To play devils advocate since im neutral either way. If HM goes he doesnt need to say evsrything about himself. He isnt just the I can change my appereance guy, he is the I can change my body into a freaky Horse/bird/crab/hedgehog hybrid made out of clay. Just go for the in your face side of his powers not the spy side(ala red huntress), would need to alter his backstory though. But im just rambling.

Yeh Multilimbs, Regeneration, Claws , Size changing are already alot, hiding his shapeshifting is possible. Besieds if HM having an Interview is terrible for his powers I feel like QM would atleast point it out.

That Said QM would handyman in Interview have him reveal his full powerset?

[X] Plan Playing the Odds
-[X] Black Swan and Menagerie Witch
-[X] Valiant Gold and Handyman
-[X] Châtelet

This plan is here to provide an option with a 0% chance of blowing covers, even if a nat 1 is rolled our covers will be fine off of bonuses for the roll. Otherwise, I think Black Swan and Menagerie Witch have the sibling like dynamic to fall back on while Valiant Gold and Handyman have commiserated over how they feel recently. I think both groupings can get fun dynamics going for boosts and don't have the baseline 6 Rep even with likely boosts that Handyman and Menagerie Witch would have. Châtelet is alone due to the recent speech, Black Swan being needed for the dynamic, and not quite trusting Valiant Gold solo with 6 Rep.

If people want to go for the 5%, I'd probably go BS/MW, VG/DS and C/H for the groups, but I'm still hesitant to take that risk ultimately.

[X] Plan Silvery Barbs
-[X] Black Swan and Menagerie Witch
-[X] Valiant Gold and Handyman
-[X] Châtelet and Doctor Silver

I believe in our team. All of them deserve the spotlight as heroes. Let's not miss out this just due to a minor odds decrease.

I've got 8 points in the bank if anything goes wrong. Let's take a risk or two.

(Oh, and LL's still coming along just on her own, right?)

Doctor Silver does seem like the best option to leave out to ensure an autosuccess, I think. Narratively, at least. While I'd love to include him, I think he'd probably be fine not being on the spotlight.

Might as well add to the chaos.

I'm not sure about the vote but I am thinking [X] Plan The Ship, The Weird and the Sane

I've got other ideas percolating in my head, such as which members of Wonderland we might want to acquire if we can offer Monarch and Princess safety from the Horae Guard.

Yeah, that's our plus of playing Leizi. If we were Nora, we'd have a head start on Ibis' Prometheus boosting research and more headway on metaplot Leviathan/stage stuff. Uiura, our finances would be less in jeopardy and we'd be running Project Prometheus probably openly because people trust and love us, and our alliance-building wouldn't be as shaky. And Towarri would just make fights way way easier.

Towarri would also have a lead on a metaplot you haven't started much on.

Also, Automne would be in a coma, not dead.

The other matter, I was thinking about was an alternate version of this quest, where we picked Towarri/Radiant Silvergirl as the new leader instead of Lady Leizi.

Towarri!Quest: Intrigue doesn't matter as long as we can smash everyone's face in.

...Is it possible to take Meet the Rookies again in the future? Because that might make putting off Doctor Silver's interview more appealing - he could be included alongside newer members.

[X] Plan: Building a Narrative
-[X] Handyman & Châtelet
-[X] Doctor Silver & Valiant Gold
-[X] Black Swan & Menagerie Witch

I've mentioned my logic behind these combos and this order before.
