Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] Write in: Get moving immidiately, Senior Council is still unaccounted for.

Badguy out of our hair without too much time and resource expenditure, great. Let's resume doing the thing we actually moved to do.

Am I right in understanding that Molly cast a curse on the demon at the last moment so that SSC would weaken his will and demon retreated, unable to withstand the stress?

Bro came in cocky, got clobbered by the Blackstaff, spat on by Molly's SSC, and immediately booked it for fear of getting jumped both here and then after in Hell.

Thats my impression at least.
Heaven is bound by its own rules, not by Hell's power. The Fallen we see arent obeying rules and restrictions because they want to, since we do see Lasciel cheat onscreen in getting Dresden to commit suicide.
It can be both to an extent. The author's note I provided seems to go against your reading of it for the Quest.

[x] Try to observe the staff, there's something almost familiar about it

It's been a scene or 2 since we have gotten a secret essence refresh.

Wait. How is Sophia here? Wasn't it voted that she went with the B team? I am so confused.

Edit: Just Sophia there was no mention of Lydia being with Molly upon rereading just her Hounds.

My personal opinion is that Cain should be stronger than the entire Third Generation at once, plus his curse and completely absurd interpretations of disciplines.
That is kind of exactly what I just described. Methuselahism and Antediluvians are only supposed to have one or two doses of Bloated with the blood of Nations the fact that Caine could have three or four and would have 10 in all disciplines would mean that he is capable of every level of plot power possible he would also have a blood pool of about 200 and be able to spend 50 per turn. Then you would load him up with Ancient blood sorcery, blood for the blood God, Crimson King hypnosis and We Are One blood and you've got it that is using the Antediluvian generation and then adding essentially another layer on top of it.

The only reason he isn't directly stated is because it really depends on how difficult you want to make that fight how far above his third generation Childer is he supposed to be because the curse that makes vampires weaker didn't start until after the third generation. 10 is the maximum of all disciplines and attributes and abilities before stat boosting disciplines.

Caine is the sort of enemy that you generally are going to want to bring a whole circle of Exalted to fight. Or at least somehow stack the deck. Not just throw down at the drop of a hat.

That is definitively true. It's just one of those things where Caine isn't actually supposed to be infinitely stronger than the third generation because he lays the curse that makes subsequent Generations weaker after they are Embraced. His Sevenfold curse ( one damage for him seven damage for you) return paired with a grouping of antediluvian traits Greater than normal is enough to stat him out.

Me adding a greater blood pool and even more spend per turn was the increasing the difficulty artificially beyond what the lore would say it is.
By the history and curse of the Kindred he would just be another antediluvian who would have a bunch of their special skills and disciplines rather than being a completely unique entity.

Well if the Sevenfold curse is a shaping effect then it would be close to a non-issue. 1 mote for scene long protection.

I don't know enough about all the other bloodline powers to guess how hard the rest would be. But just using enough clarity for extra actions would put Molly at a big disadvantage.

Of course we aren't actually on WOD so there is no Caine.

True if you were fighting any of the greater vampires you would want both types of perfect defenses and a perfect attack. You would want back up that could either give you extra actions like time Mages, your own ability to have extra attacks return which either by charm or by some kind of potion(Alacrity) or whatever be able to devote one of your extra turns to Full defense to Parry or otherwise Dodge all of Caine's attacks with Excellency before attacking again.

Paired with a jade Talisman or talismans to keep your juice up throughout the fight to hopefully eat away at all his health with assured aggravated damage from things like green sun Nimbus flare along with full defenses on extractions to ignore his own attacks with a perfect mental and physical defense for the attacks you can't avoid or the ones that affect the mind like Crimson King hypnosis and the like. You definitely do not want to fight him near any other vampire though.

This whole thought exercise is just things about the nonsense point that unstated enemies aren't meant to be fought that uju just seems to invite for no apparent reason.

We can see the staff later. The scene is going to pass. If we want to do something, it should be using the scene as a focus. There's tons of Demonic lore that can be useful
