Yeah, they've convinced me tbh. I'm alright with letting them out. Though I'll hear out arguments against.
There is no "what are you" that Tiffany can honestly answer without stealing the show. It's just a consequence of who - of what - she is.[] Leave Arthur sleeping until Judgement Day comes, that seemed the thought of Saint David, wise enough to follow you'd judge
[] Say nothing, they should not return and you will not insult them by asking they abandon their vows
[] Help us, knights of another time, a poor fit you might make in some ways but the world is poor itself in others and there are many trials needing your strength
[] Write in
OOC: Tiffany and Lydia kind of stole the show, hope you guys don't mind, that is just worked out with the characters playing off each other. Now's Molly's chance to step in.
Yes it would be rather awkward if we let them loose and they go back to what got them imprisoned in the first place.I say 'abandon your vow/goal of ressurecting the conquerer chappie'

"Is that all," Lyr quirks an eyebrow. "For it seems we are being judged still and not the sort where the sentence is forgone. For myself I'd rather be dead in truth than live in death, but still rather I'd live and feel the sun again upon my cheek."
Yeah before choosing to release them we should actually get some confirmation on that. If we let them loose we need assurances that they won't mess around with their old kingdom and that they're willing to put in the effort to adapt to a Masquerade and modern society. We should also aim to get their word that whether or not Arthur is brought back into this new age isn't solely up to them anymore.Maybe I missed it but we had the big speech from Lydia on how the world's changed but like no indication that the three listened and internalized "oh cool, can't do like anything we'd want."
I'm not reading this as an acceptance of modernity and abandonment of the "bring Arthur back to reunite all of Christendom" plans.
The fact that the Eastern and Western Church was split and the Arian heretics were extinct would be a much bigger deal.

They wouldn't at all be surprised by that the Crusades don't start until the 11th century they got sealed in the 6th. I imagine they would be more surprised by the dissolution of Kingdoms pretty much around the world and the introduction of the Magna Carta which reduces the power of the monarchy still in Britain to essentially a ceremonial position. The Orthodox and the Catholics have largely come to an understanding. It's the Muslims, Protestants, secularism, and Jews being back in charge of the Holy Land that would be the shock.
I don't see anything about their plans there, it just seems to be the personal rejection of Lydia's idea, that they would prefer being mercy killed to having to live in a modern alien world.
That, while yeah, they would rather die than continue to be stuck in that cell until the end of thecurrentworld - if those are the only options - but they would first rather live free again.
I would say tell them about the cauldron and the modern world but I don't think it's our place or even St David's place to decide whether or not someone gets to live again or not. Never mind the fact they sworn an oath of fealty to Arthur and to let him rot is kind of directly contradictory to that. Them attempting to find other ways to resurrect Arthur that don't harm anybody is not particularly a problem. This is the time to make demands. Let them know they won't be free to do whatever they please were we to release them now to the living world and not the afterlife.
[X] Plan: Modern Problems Require Modern Knights
-[X] Help us, knights of another time, a poor fit you might make in some ways but the world is poor itself in others and there are many trials needing your strength
--[X] Persuasion excellency
---[X] Inform them that if they wish to not simply be freed to the afterlife and walk again amongst mortal men that they require a willingness and ability to adapt to the current age and relinquish their previous mission to resurrect King Arthur if deemed necessary. Whether or not he is brought back is not solely their decision anymore and further attempts to steal the Cauldron will be met with death.
Arthur wasn't trying to reunite all of Christians that wasn't a thing yet the Holy Roman Empire didn't exist until well into the 10th century no he's trying to reconquer Rome which while it was technically a Christian Empire it wasn't the whole of Christendom. He was doing what essentially every Kingdom in Empire that would come within the next 700 years is trying to do become the next Rome.Maybe I missed it but we had the big speech from Lydia on how the world's changed but like no indication that the three listened and internalized "oh cool, can't do like anything we'd want."

We don't know of Arthur's connections to the Fae Courts and the like. If he's out and about again depending on his ambitions for Britain and whatever have you it could in fact prove problematic for anyone caught in the crossfire. Don't act as if we know its entirely risk free we have little context as to the possible ripple effects right now as we didn't do any research on this version of King Arthur.Them attempting to find other ways to resurrect Arthur that don't harm anybody is not particularly a problem.
It's what you'd expect from an Exalt. They're articulate and personable, but that doesn't stop them from being a problem. To an extent people who look at an unjust world and go "fine, I'll conquer it and make the damn thing just" are admirable, but getting into the fiddly bits of what counts as just can rapidly become unpleasant.
I'm talking about these three people not arthur. We can find out about Arthur by picking up any of the hundreds of versions of myths about him and using our Crown any information that we need on him we can find. These three can't even speak Modern English never mind read it they would be attempting to find sources of Resurrection for Arthur essentially through us for the foreseeable future never mind the fact without The Cauldron they are back at square one in a land where they have no more allies. So as I said them attempting to find another method of resurrecting Arthur without hurting anybody is not particularly a problem. We don't know of Arthur's connections to the Fae Courts and the like. I'm going to need you to elaborate on this. What we know about Arthur so far is he's dead and his body is being kept in stasis by the summer fairies.Thinking on it, it sounds like Arthur is probably closer to being a new type of vampire by this point than anything else
Why would them not being able to speak modern English be a hurdle? They can look into supernatural means as they have been when they decided on the Cauldron and that doesn't require that you know English. We don't know that they have no allies your just jumping to conclusions there. These three can't even speak Modern English never mind read it they would be attempting to find sources of Resurrection for Arthur essentially through us for the foreseeable future never mind the fact without The Cauldron they are back at square one in a land where they have no more allies.
