You remind me of a more unscrupulous version of my Supirior..so
Firstly, typo. Should be "Superior", not "Supirior".

Secondly, that ellipsis is missing a period.

"I may not know you, but I know of men like you, that are all around me.
"they"?

You continued."But we're getting off-topic here...
Missing a space.

and likely have the full force of Japan's intelligence aperatus on you like a curse...
"apparatus"

and get whatever you want out of my by torture
"me"

You than all grabbed each other tight
Redundant word.

Duromon just waved his tail around. "Well let's see, your son opened the digiport using his device. It was small, but it was enough to make a substantial dent in the Barrier. But it was instantaneous and repaired immediately. But those humans who didn't have a digivice are going to have to fight their way out."

"They are going to die?" You asked.

"I don't know, never happened before, and it's not my problem, that's for the top brass to deal with, not me." The digimon replied as he smelled the soup. "Uh, little help? My arms are a little-"
...I guess we met what is basically the digimon equivalent of our org. Or more specifically, their earth affairs org.

What do you ask?:
[X]"What is your purpose...Watcher."
[X] "What can you tell me about the Barrier?"
[X] "Your waiting for something aren't you, what is it?"

[]"What is your purpose...Watcher."
[] "What can you tell me about the Barrier?"
[] "You're waiting for something aren't you, what is it?"

Many thoughts went through your mind but there was only one that you managed to vocalize immediately after your thoughts began.

"What is your purpose...Watcher." You asked, and the Digimon was quiet as he looked at the soup he was making.

"Watcher, you are the first person to ask that question, you know. Most people don't ask for my opinion on what I'm doing, only that I do it." Duromon was quiet and you saw he was thinking his tail moving around and his hands… claws fidgeting. "I don't know. I thought I knew it. But I can't remember. I've been watching the Barrier for as long as I can remember, and they told me that was what I was created for." He paused again. "But I just felt like I was meant for more. Something that I want to do, but can't."

This was, existential, and if you had time, and were without your family, you would discuss more about it, and maybe there was something you could gain from the Digimon as a culture, if they had one.

You think they did. Judging from titles and Duromon not being so… antagonistic. "Eat eat, you are under my protection and the food will get cold."

You nodded and your family began eating. There most certainly was one realm of hospitality. Everyone took a bite and you noticed that it felt real.

The taste was there, the sensation was there, and could feel the heat, but you didn't feel it… go down your stomach, nor did it feel filling.

"What can you tell me about the Barrier? And can we get home?"

Duromon then looked up. "The Barrier has always been there. No one knows how it came to be, and what little exists from before it's existence are… few and far between. The Sovereigns say that there was a calamity that was before the barrier was erected and that Humans were the cause of it."

You saw his mind move. "How long ago was that?" You asked.

"I don't know, I don't remember at least. I remember fragments and stories from those that come to visit, those that want to go beyond or are sucked in… but they were more fairy tales than history. I know there was a war, and that there is another coming. To cement ourselves as beings."

"And that war is?"

"The destruction of humanity. They are the ones that make us fight endless battles… that's what my rulers want. They just want to stop the battles, and the cruel gods from beyond."

"Do you want to hurt us?" You asked.

There was a pause, and Duromon looked at you. "No. I never saw the reason for their hatred of humanity. We would have fought each other anyway, for far more stupider reasons, but they didn't want to, so they blamed the humans. If there was ever a reason to blame you for anything for a mistake, it would be for creating us."

"You recognize-"

"Of course we do," Duromon said. "Every one of your faces we know, and while many are mad that you created us, you were not the one to exploit us."

Finally, you turned towards your family, and they were happy, to be safe at least. "You are waiting for something aren't you, what is it?"

"Someone," Duromon said. "And with it, a glorious purpose beyond this stale moment of eternity."

You nodded. "I hope you get it."

"I do too. Now, would you like to go home?"

You nodded. And the world went black.
-----------------------

You awoke in Aramaki's office, who was sipping his coffee, surprised that you came out of his computer.

"Dr. Wong, what the hell-" He then noticed your children. "We thought you were dead!"

"Long story about that Director, but… that will have to wait." You smiled. "We have a point of contact in the Digital world, and have information on the barrier that might be useful, somewhat. From the Digimon's perspective that is."

Everyone looked at the two of you. "But first, I need to make sure that my family is safe. And we might need a security team around my home."
---------------------

Reward: You can now conduct expeditions into the digital world, or rather, at least the Barrier and Dorumon's home.

You now have some biased information about what the Barrier is.

Your family needs more security.

Disaster Roll decreased by Twenty due to the assassins being… stranded on the barrier.

Point of contact in the digital world Established. Duromon.

New Actions Available.

AN: Enjoy.

Right now, I am imagining the real reason for the barrier is to keep an incursion/war from happening with a third and fourth worlds.

One world is the Duel Monster world.

The other world is filled with the other species humanity created, and the one war that anyone of us knows since we were children:

Digimon vs Pokemon

I believe the barrier is there simply as a physical manifestation of mankind's desire to hide their internet history

Duel monsters...

Very relevant.

Pokemon?
Well, not in cyberspace given the pokemon games are years away.

though, it's worrying how it seems like we got groups on both sides wanting to ensure a war happens. On one side we have the Soverigns and whoever is in contact with Namco Bandai planning to leave the digital world. On the other we have the mysterious group that wants to keep things as hidden as possible for the barrier collapse for maximum chaos.

Though it could be both being on the 'same side' but disconnected and unaware of each other, in part to feed the central narrative that the Soverigns are going for.

Good guess, but unfortunately, Pokemon vs digimon will not happen... Yet.

but it could beworse.
Question, we going to get some tech too? Also I like the way you tell the story, can't wait for more.
Actually, there are new actions to study more of the digital world to increase the tech.

Now now, I'm not going to say that there is a conspiracy trying to take over the world using the digimon crisis as one of the main flames to start the fire.

But I'm not going to not say it. :V
