Well just found this and have me intrigued, like from this expanding kitchen sink, Digimon and Sailor Moon or Yu-gi-oh has enough stuff to shit our pants.

From the Digimon side with stuff like even any active version of Myostismon, the dark masters, millenniummon shenanigans or the demon lords or Yggdrasil waking up and deciding that genocide is the logical option.

The on the Sailor moon, the eventual awakening of Metallia, the Dark Moon Clan or Sailor Galaxia if we reach that deep.

From YGO hello shadow realm and millenium items bs alongside the god cards with the oricalcos arc down the road, the sacred beasts and the light of destruction, apart from Nightshroud being a general asshole.

Without counting what is beyond the stars (seeing Patlabor alone could mean other mecha series like Gaogaigar or god forbid Getter robo armageddon could join later).

This will be a clustefuck, a glorious one no doubt.

Would it be okay if I wrote a sidestory involving a pyschonauts agent (Psychonauts 1 & 2) fighting a vampire (Vampire The Masquerade)?

I'm thinking of having the battle be on a train going across the American countryside at night
Or maybe an apartment with a bunch of residents that were turned into ghouls

I'm thinking Malkavian since that way, the Psychonauts would mistake the vampire for some sort of villainous psychic at first

+10 to the rolls and will effect the rumor mill forNamco.

and if its low, oh boy.
...I didn't quite expect it being canon, so.....

Bandai Namco USA division is having a ROUGH TIME it sounds like. Between reams of bad PR they are failing to fight, an increasingly anemic official card game tournament scene from veterens fed up with the non-answers jumping ship to the purely community held no tech version or leaving altogether, and then they got the Tournament Incident falling onto their laps.

Yeah, it's a global scramble to preserve PR, and in the USA itself it's gonna likely take a really good roll to mend the bridges that was torn in the incident after just how much they were strained by playing to the standard corporate playbook in relation to the incidents.

And at the same time, looks like there may be some impacts given we possibly have the first publicly known tamers in two well known Digimon card game veterans

But don't worry it can get worse.
Yep. I mean, it's probably still mostly localized to the USA, and maybe a few places like canada and mexico. Now if they blip up enough, it'll start SPREADING. I mean, going by the omakes, factors that likely helped feed the USA dumpster fire was the tensions that led to the USA failing to actually mark our MC as a cyber terrorist, and the fact that the USA doesn't have any official org they could 'work with' and instead have to face rivals playing at police(Xantos) or the very people they are hiding things from(community groups), they don't exactly have people to work with, or the ability to use bribes if you are less charitable.

Though overall, both the internal conspiracy and the company itself mostly wants to get people playing their game with their proprietary 'calculators', for money(data). Of which, while the USA is a big market in people with money, there is still the rest of the world as long as they keep the rising American sentiment from spreading. Which, feeds back to the fact the US is currently the world Hegemon.(At least the problem is the voters and not the politicions, right? :V )

Though one good thing for us is that we might see a digimon tamer org form over in the USA, given the very visible presense of two tamers and digimon, whom might end up visiting the digital world like our MC did. And a bit of a peek into some Digimon cards that are available for tamers to use, such as equipment cards.

...Thinking about the Hitman series, given it was first released in 2000, and the super soldier project is currently in motion training future legend Agent 47. I was thinking about how the project is gonna be suprisingly uncertain as far as effectiveness. Given the Genetics and training is absolutely impeccable, it was almost exactly what was hoped for but in this timeline, Agent 47 and oher survivors would be facing a changed world, dealing with magic, psionics, and even scify tech which was not at all covered in the training. Still terrifying, but with big blind spots because of factors that may have not even been considered in training.... Or maybe it has given the project leader was involved in some fashion in the world of spies.

And then there is Providence, whatever that secret society is up to. And....

Really there is too many, because isn't there The High Table from the John Wick series basically being the lords of crime?
Speaking of, John Wick should be roughly in his 30s right now, with the New York Continental being under Winston Scott.

The phone was not secure, hell it was an international call on a pay phone, but that was going to be something that you had to deal with then.

You needed to get Roy, everything else would follow. The tone was deafening but you almost didn't want to hold out too much hope, because everything was almost too much. You didn't want to lose any more friends to whatever madness Shibumi had gone into, and what he was going through.

Than finally, there was a voice. "Hellow." It was Alice, his grand daughter. You almost broke down in tears when you heard the voice.

"Alice, it's me, Tao, uh… Mister Wong, your father's friend." You said quietly. "Can I speak to your father?"

"Daddy, It's Mister Wong!" She shouted and then you heard another voice call.

"Janyu." It was Roys' son. He sounded so weak after everything he was going through, and it was very hard to hear him speak to you. "He's not here right now, what can I do to help you?"

"It's about Shibumi." You said. You sighed. "Listen I know you both were close, but-"

"I know. He sent me an email explaining why he did it. He wanted me to join him in the digital world with my daughter." He replied as you heard him speak. "It's okay Alice, I won't let the monster take you to the digital world, we promised."

Then there was a sigh. "I'll warn the others, they know how much this means to them…And Tao."

"Yes." You offered, choking on his name not even able to say it.

"We're on your side, remember. We all are."

"Make sure they don't fall for his lies." You said.

Reward: The Monster Makers are warned of Shibumi's defection, and there is a high likelihood for them to resist the events coming their way.

As you and Aramaki sat at the boundary home that was Duromon's home, he just sat down and huffed. "You look stuffy."

Aramaki frowned. "Why should I even care about this monster in particular Dr. Wong when an event in America has overtaken our interests."

"Because I stopped more monsters from using the breach to escape." Duromon stated. "You're welcome by the way."

At that, Aramaki almost blew a gasket in frustration. "You can stop them from escaping! You are the one who is causing this-"

You placed a hand on his shoulder. "Aramaki, maybe listen before you start making accusations."

"Yeah, that poker game that I played with Renamon and her cohort, she was a cheat! And a liar. And Wierd." It was like Duromon was spouting nonsense.

Aramaki frowned and shook his head. "Alright, what does that have to do with anything?"

"I don't know, wait, you were paying attention to my random thoughts? That's the most thoughtful thing anyone has done!"

You sweatdropped. "Duromon, I need to know, how long have you been here?"

"According to the new feed and whatever fragments of memory I have left from that before the time when I took an ax to the head?" He paused. "Five years? Maybe six?"

"He has brain damage, of course," Aramaki said. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Hey, you try keeping ten thousand incursions into your world every other day. That sort of thing I have to deal with and let me tell you, it's not fun."

Aramaki's eyes widened. "Ten thousand, every other day!"

"Yeah, most of the time, I stare at them and they run away like the cowards they are. Only the real tough ones require actual work." He said. "What I would give for a vacation."

You and Aramaki both traded a glance. "Doru, what I told you we can try to help you with your job, and make it easier for you to stop the bad Digimon trying to get into our world?"

"Are you going to feed me food?" He asked. "Cause I would rather have real food, not this soup I have to subsist on. I want Sushi! Pizza! KFC! All that garbage that the news feed and the data that people love in your country seem to enjoy."

"And food will help you?" Aramaki asked.

"I mean, it will make me happy! And when I'm happy I work harder."

Aramaki smiled. "If only people were like that. The world would be a bit brighter."

Reward: New Actions available. Bioemergence Rolls are decreased by -5 due to Dorumon getting support with supplies from HYPNOS.
----------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Meet the Team: Public Security Section Nine is a new initiative, and honestly, you don't know anyone. Is it a black ops team? A Cyber security group? Aramaki only said yes. DC: 40 Rolled:D100 + 2 => 58

The list was rather interesting, to say the least, and while you could not get the full story, you did know that they were law enforcement, and all very dangerous.

Major Motoko Kusanagi was the leader of the group, JSDF, and is currently something of an enigma. And you still have no idea if she was dangerous, or friendly.

Batou: The fact he was a skilled hacker and a shooter was really disturbing. He was a jokester, a prankster at heart, who loved grape soda… and would destroy the vending machine to get that grape soda.

Togusa: You would call him a noir detective but the fact he was the only law enforcement officer. He is friendly enough but is completely out of his depth when it comes to the digital world and the crazy shit that has overtaken his life. Do you think Aramaki made him the team's minder, just so they don't go crazy?

Ishikawa: Another hacker, and he was recruited after he tried to crash a US military institution's computers on a bet. And it almost destroyed a few combat aircraft that were trying to land. The fact he fixed the problem landed him a job here

Saito: A sniper who lost his eye, and does not care for it. The man is cold as they get, and never says a word beyond what is necessary.

Boma: So there is always the explosives expert, and he's it. And you don't know why he's here, but there is a rumor that he disarmed a missile from the digital world.

REwardd: you know about Aramaki's team, and something tells you they will be very… interesting to work with.
----------------------------------------------------
-[X]Operational Security: The Failure of yourself and HYPNOS to deal with the massive security breach and threat to your life has has forced you to get a security officer and a team to protect you, no ifs no BUTS…you need it. DC: 30 Rolled:D100 + 2 => 30

You managed to have a security team that would serve as a security force for all of HYPNOS. It is small. But they would be able to protect your people.

Reward: Disaster roll decreased by -5 for the next two turns.
--------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The New Guy: Yamaki needs to step up because you are lacking. So you're going to make him step up. DC: 0 Rolled:D100 + 22 => 76

You looked at the code that Aramaki was writing, and you smiled. "You want to try and make something better?"

"Something that can stop digimon from causing havoc on the world once they enter." He said.

"A Fool's errand." You said.

"You haven't even looked at-"

"I know that, but you're looking at it from a completely different angle than what you should be looking at it as."

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Digimon were, at the very end of the day, meant to evolve beyond their original programming. We designed them that way, and now, after probably untold millennia in digital time, they follow the same kind of evolution that has led to humanity. Evolution, or digital evolution. Trying to make one weapon that can destroy it would be impossible because they would simply adapt to that."

Yamaki for his part, stopped and thought. "What do you recommend?"

"Think outside the box. Think of Digimon not as computer programs, but as computer animals. You see they are sentient, maybe even sapient. That might change the outlook."

A few hours later, Yamaki came back, with the basis of a new program. Not the Juggernaut he was working on.

The Zoo program.

Great idea.

Reward: Yamaki is now a hero unit. And can be assigned to an action.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Internal Security: Now you trust Aramaki, but the fact noted criminals could find and nearly kill you means that you require…other sources for HYPNOS's internal Security. DC: 40 Rolled:D100 + 22 => 99

"Your request has been granted." Aramaki said.

"So who is it?"

"You know Major Motoko Kusanagi, JSDF?" He said.

"You're bringing her team onto HYPNOS?" You asked.

"For a manner of speaking. Until I can get you an actual internal security advisor."

Reward: You have temporarily been given Major Motoko Kusanagi as an advisor. +1 to action and will gain a sheet for her. She will be available for two turns.
-------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Timer for What?: You want to find out just what the hell that timer is going to do, and what you can do to stop it. DC: 40 Rolled:D100 + 21 => 39

"You cannot stop what is coming." Was all Shibumi wrote to you.

He had lost his mind, but what the hell is that

Failure.
---------------------------------
Disaster Roll:D100 => 11

In spite of that concerning piece of news…

Nothing happened.

"I know. He sent me an email explaining why he did it. He wanted me to join him in the digital world with my daughter." He replied as you heard him speak. "It's okay Alice, I won't let the monster take you to the digital world, we promised."
Ah. So we got a digimon faction trying to flip members of the Wild Bunch.
Aramaki frowned. "Why should I even care about this monster in particular Dr. Wong when an event in America has overtaken our interests."

"Because I stopped more monsters from using the breach to escape." Duromon stated. "You're welcome by the way."
And there is what is probably the omake event. Which, also shows how incidents could quickly escalate, given a breach makes it easier for others to slip through...

Edit:...Why the blip did I forget who exactly Shibumi is, OF COURSE IT WAS A DIGIWORLD FACTION. 😅
Who earthside even knows he's not just some man in a coma right now.:V

Why did we only have a +2 for this? It's a Diplomacy Action, so it should've gotten the same bonus as the two before it.

REwardd: you know about Aramaki's team, and something tells you they will be very… interesting to work with.
"Reward"

"Something that can stop digimon from causing havoc on the world once they enter." He said.
"wreaking"

Also...
+10 to the rolls and will effect the rumor mill forNamco.

and if its low, oh boy.
What happened to these?

I forgot. And I decided to use them for the rumor mill to give you all bonuses that will make your lives easier.
Aramaki frowned. "Why should I even care about this monster in particular Dr. Wong when an event in America has overtaken our interests."

"Because I stopped more monsters from using the breach to escape." Duromon stated. "You're welcome by the way."
...What are the odds that we just so happened to have got a bioemerge dice roll at the USA this turn, right after I happened to do an omake of basically such an incident? 😅

Well that could have gone better on some parts, but we got some good saves there.

Still worried on what made Shibumi go rogue, which in the digital world could be anything and all options go from bad to worse.

Well the red blobs that delete everything still haven't appeared at least so the digital world is still not hitting any emergency button yet.

Information Transfer

"Information for information. You got anything on the 1989 car bombing?"

"Not anything concrete, Blue Seed Pharmaceuticals is a lot more than they seem, and it seems investigations are very hazardous to one's health. Anything on the Digimon situation?"

"The mysterious group that got into a firefight with security in the USA isn't the only one. Found a lead on an 'unofficial base' for an alleged British Digiworld task force, and evidence of other groups. They were entrenched enough I am pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to spot them if they hadn't been spooked by the incident. I am pretty sure even the high table has some form of connection with at least some of the groups."

"Anything that might connect Namco to any of the groups? I mean, if I were them, I would have definitely have invested in making sure any incidents would stay off the news."

"Interestingly enough, nothing. They don't even have any ties with mercenaries, with luck being a major factor in finding a group that was capable of protecting the venue. In fact, I reached out to some of the USA internet communities and found that there was something in their hardware to gather data somehow. Which is odd. Until you factor an odd coincidence that was unknown until just recently. The fact that the digimon leadership is called the Sovereigns, and the mystery artist that doesn't exist being the Sovereign. It's possible that they have no connections with those groups because they don't need to, having connections directly to the source. It's only a theory unfortunately."

*There is a pause*

"That... Makes an odd amount of sense. They work heavily with the Wild Bunch code, made a business making and spreading devices that are to be used by others, and helps explain why they'd attack their no calculator community. As they may also be motivated to gather something for their partner's interests. After all, if true, they near completely invalidate the need to hire artists, and possibly reduce the workload in other ways. With consequences we are facing now."

"Unfortunately wasn't able to find anything else. Though. What did you mean about Blue Seed Pharmaceuticals being lot more than they seem?"

"There wasn't anything on the hit at all, it never was even seen by any group working under the High Table, and that's saying something given how much they pride themselves on their influence. Though I did find something. Rumors of a Super Soldier project, or at least a group of assassins that don't exist anywhere, have physical capabilities on the edge of human limits. Whoever the group is, they have killed to ensure secrecy, and presumably are sent on missions as some sort of field test. Either they pulled on some sort of connections they had, or your parents were on the verge of discovering something that led to them being marked for death. You managed to stumble onto something big, someone with the resources, will, and support to do a project like that and keep it hidden is not someone to take lightly. And that person is connected to Blue Seed somehow, and likely will kill to keep that a secret. To be blunt, you are gonna need a lot more than a small gun running operation and local hitmen for hire business to do anything to this mystery person."

A/N: Well, thinking about Hitman. I decided to kinda try on a possible window to what Diana Burnwood is up to right now in England. I figure that dear doctor Otto would find it impossible to completely hide his little project, with there at least being rumors about the mysterious unaffiliated assassins that pop up randomly with certain common traits, such as their ridiculous physical capabilities and ridiculously through training. Considering he very much sends them, or at the absolute minimum, one out on missions, and the High Table dominating so fully a highly capable independent assassin/hitman that doesn't interact with them or their institutions would be extremely unlikely.(At least, the canon high table is a storied global org that has such pervasive influence they are in some ways the underworld. With the Continentals being a global chain that is practically at its center as consecrated neutral ground that is the focal point of underworld interactions.)

Edit: fixed some grammar and spelling mistakes.

What's a multiversal crossover? Since I am a bit intrigued, especially seeing that Digimon actually got picked for the main thing we'll be playing as.

I don't know the exact definition myself but almost every piece of media that was released after 1991 is canon in this setting
My best guess is the stories that wouldn't make sense if shoved onto this version of earth are gonna exist in other planes of existence, and then we'll have multiverse interactions

Also mass isekai gonna happen later, as the QM stated, but that would be one of the smaller problems
