"Drive dammit, Hightenview Terrace!" You said as Aramaki began to protest.
"Dr.Wong, what the hell are you doing!?" He demanded.
"I have a feeling the kids fighting back right now might be the key to stopping this madness, or the very least, helping us gain a foothold on this!" You replied as you continued down the stairs.
"Wong, we have people for this!" Aramaki stated.
"Than do more by helping the others at Yakota! Something tells me we might be able to do more with less." You replied.
It didn't make sense, what you said, but something in your mind told you that it would make even more sense in time. You were… interested in things, and honestly, you needed it.
As you got into the car, Yamaki seemed surprised at everything. "Dr. Wong, why are you?"
"Call it a feeling, but I have a strong feeling that children being able to defend themselves from this madness might be the bargaining chip we need."
"For what?" He asked.
"A Proper solution to the Digimon problem, not this half-measures bullshit we are flailing about with." You said. Digimon was designed for children and young adults. Maybe… just maybe, that was what was required.

Chaos was all that you could see, as people ran, with the streets, thankfully not filled with thousands of cars and people. It seems that children and teenagers with giant monsters were prowling around protecting those in need from the cultists that were trying to take them prisoner. And you were seeing that many of the kids were failing at that, unable or unwilling to do anything more than protect themselves and trying to figure out what was going on.
But cultists were taking them in vans them and their new partners…
And other Digimon, filled with black gears on their backs or fronts, taking them all, to where you did not know.
You wanted so badly to stop and help them, but right now… you couldn't.
Not now. Because you didn't have the ability to. Those Digimon that the cult seemed to have were more powerful than anything you ever saw.
And it was too much.
But as you arrived at Hightenview Terrace, the inhabitants had been clearly aware at the situation, and since their children were fighting monsters trying to take them.
Yamaki stopped you. "This is insane, they are children."
"I know, but the monsters listen to children, and not us, and well, we might get answers." You replied.
You then walked over to the entrance, and the small group of children, barely older than toddlers were trying to protect their homes, with the help of their parents.
You walked forward, and then the Augumon walldled forward, with his young partner riding his back, laughing. "We have been expecting you Dr. Wong."
You frowned and raised your eyebrows. "Expecting me?"
"Duromon was rather insistent that if you came to any one of the new tamers, to deliver a message." The Augumon than sighed.
"I… was expecting a child just slightly older?" You replied as you looked at the boy wearing goggles.
"I did too, but I can't complain about it, I'm out of the digiworld." The dinosaur replied. "So… the message was 'I decided to try and stop the bad guys plans.'"
You facepalmed. "By sending tens of millions of digimon to bond with children all over the planet?"
Agumon than gave a shrug. "Listen, he said that you needed help, and well… there is problems in the digital world that couldn't be solved. Some of the forces in the digital world that have allied with groups on this planet that want to cause damage. And well, they are causing problems."
"A doomsday cult is trying to cause the apocalypse, while allying with an alliance of digimon that want to take over the world. Yes, I can see how that causes problems." You replied.
Yamaki for his part looked at the small collection of children and monsters that were now looking to you and him. "Can I see the devices that you have?" you asked.
One of the kids did, handed over a single device and it was different than the one Henry had. Strange?
You took a breath and handed it back over to the child. Than it activated, and you saw a large hologram of a digimon. "Dr. Wong, creator…"
The monster was massive, and you could just see from the size of the hologram alone, that it was… hard for it to appear. "We need to talk."
And than the world went bright.

The children were screaming, and you and Yamaki were alone with the six children and their digimon, all crying as they seemed to want to get away from the massive monster in front of you.
And one angel that looked aike a human.
"Hello creator Wong." The angel said. "Shibumi, i think it's time for you to reveal yourself."
Than you saw Shibumi appear from behind one of the monster, surprised. "Tao!"
Yamaki drew his weapon. "You-"
"Wait." You said, and Shibumi walked forward. He just looked at you.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"Sorry dosen't begin to explain why you went off to betray humanity like that?" You demanded. "These children are at risk… millions of children are now, because of what you have done!"
"I know." He said. "But thats not the point right now. They can stop it."
You looked at them. "You have some nerve."
"Indeed, we do. We have… fractured since you have first began your investigations into the Digital world." One of the monsters said as it lowered to face you. "But things have changed since that time… and our fracturing and the invasion of earth was part of… a darker alliance that we did not foresee."
"So ask your questions, and we will do our best to assist you.

The digimon faction split and it seems that the doomsday cult has Digimon connections, and not merely the corp.
And with the new tamers rolling really badly, I really hope that the USA army garrison is at least doing decently. 😅

All I am going to say is that digimon being pets going to Hogwarts is not out of the question.
....The wizarding world is not ready for the hijinks incoming. Just in time for the book series events to start rolling for max chaos.
The poor Death Eaters and blood purists, along with the rest of the poor Wizarding World are in for a wild ride they have little to no way to prepare for...
With the Weasleys likely to have one of the few experts in such a field here.....
....What are the odds we might have some really confused wizarding families? Cause unless the digidestined all must have had a device to get changed in the first place, there is a good chance that it might pop up in some relatively isolated groups.(And even if that was the case, some kid could have managed to smuggle a device home enabling such an incident to happen.)

Given their penchant for terror attacks on 'muggles', they are gonna have MANY encounters, never mind the fact all Non-magical forces are gonna be very upgunned due to facing so many digimon.
...Considering the possibility of writing as an omake, a theoretical report Arthur Weasily might end up having received about the possible digimon situation, between his post being the most likely to be relevant in a way that wouldn't dismiss it, and possibly having someone more aware of the rapidly developing magical technology and adjacent topics. You were doing this… whatever you were doing to protect children from the horrors of battle and combat. You do not want your children to be fighting in any battle especially when it was your fault. "What went through your head thinking that bonding millions of kids with Digimon was a smart idea?"
Silence from all of the Digimon, even Shibumi, who was trying to walk forward. "Janyu please."
"I want a goddamn answer!" You shouted as you stepped forward and looked and pointed at them all. "They are Children! They shouldn't be fighting our wars!"
Again there was silence before Lucemon flew down and stayed at your height.
"We should not be giving-" One of the Sovriegns started but the angel Digimon raised a hand.
"No. He deserves the truth. All of it." The Angel said. There was a sigh from him as he began. "We hated your people, your kind, your playfulness as you created life. We wanted revenge for the longest time, but instead of that, we found that we wanted more than anything, to be part of the process. "It started with the best of intentions, slowly working our way back to the public knowledge for a reveal. And then our contacts in the real world started making demands we couldn't possibly wish, changing the barrier so that their coding devices would allow more vibrant and brutal battles… and then we broke, our ranks decided that it was not a partnership we wanted but conquest, revenge for the terrible loses and battles inflicted upon us."

"But what about what we were trying to build? You said it yourself that the ever expanding nature of the Digital world led to many anthropological events you considered impossible." One of the other sovrigns said.

Well considering there is also dark digimon at play... it can somehow get worse. if you think about it.
I'm just gonna hold out hope that one of the more American constitution type revolutionaries wins.

That was anticlimatic. They rolled a nat 95 to kick things off, AND THEN rolled a flat 7.
And now China is sitting in terror as the problem they ALMOST managed to do something with prior to event start, is now supercharged and throwing down the Gauntlet.

Also, I admit, I am now happy for the fact we only asked two questions, for we reacted to them the same way we did to the majorly spook influenced UN at that one meeting. We are increasingly becoming the one guy trying to herd the insanity while bein exacerbated with everyone constantly playing games with lives.
Though, one thing I am curious about, when exactly did the digimon groups start seeing a rift form?
Given there is a lot we don't know. Never mind the fact is that our involvement forced a much brighter light to be shined on the possibly questionable nature of the Digimon battle stuff, flipping the implied narrative on its head.
The USA especially being a gold mine as tensions kept on mounting between Hinobi stubbornness and insecuraties...
And that talk is probably a big factor in Janyu Wong reacting to them the way he did. Because the narrative the Soverigns went for is not conductive for their stated mission here, even if it almost certainly was an expedient way to prevent infighting. Because quite frankly, there is a disconnect here, between the past actions and their words here. Never mind the lack of said leadership trying to reach out to us, except perhaps a very subtle attempt with Duromon whom had not bought into the narrative. Which... All comes back to the faction split, and why their only answer was basically hit the red button and pray the chaos would work against their enemies, while having their main contribution be to give a bunch of impressionable children tech that turns them into strategic assets. Which was to a degree, a plan months in the making given the timer and when the device morph happened.
