    • If this is about Abolition, you all do realize that we can easily fight for it with Elizabeth, too, right?

    In fact, I'd say that as an irish Catholic Immigrant Daughter with a Family History of Persecution and Oppression, she would sympathize with the enslaved quite a bit.

    I assume every character plan will involve abolition as I don't imagine anyone here would vote to be pro-slavery, it's just that each character plan would approach it differently.

    Wasn't there some kind of debate on the relation of Slavery and Industry in Magoose's Italy Renaissance Quest Part 2? One portion spoke that industry can actually also help slavery, just replace plantations with industry.

    Frankly, to stop that from happening, I'd advocate the creation of some kind of Pro-Workers stance earlier just to make sure the South doesn't attempt to do exploit industry with slavery.

    By stance, I mean Paid Labour, Minimum Wages, Working Conditions, you know the whole shtick.

    You won't be able to fully eradicate it. Or at least, it will take a long and very concerted effort to do so. You could most certainly be able to get it eradicated it in a few states, but the entirety of the union? That will be, to put it mildly, an effort and a ton. And even if you don't manage to abolish slavery, you can lay the foundations for it to be peacefully abolished by your descendants.

    Also, there are also the issues of suffrage for men without property as well as women, so you could also help there. The world is your oyster, and you must take the pearl(within reason)!
