Losing a point of Void Infrastructure hurts bad, but at least we don't lose unlocks. Right? We don't Lose Shipbuilding Ability all of a sudden because we dropped one point?

That aside, I'm thinking we want to get the Souls doctrine done while we start pushing our inf up to the 5 breakpoints, then pivot to Psykana. When we're done integrating the new place, we can start finishing off Task Force Alpha in preparation to dislodge the Orks.

God though, Infrastructure is awful on our action economy for how easy we can lose it.

[X] Leave Perfinda For The Candle Keepers

While Perfinda being Lamenter would be a nice 'disguise' to the Imperium since it's how the system that the Imperium will have to look at first before seeing our actual stuff I feel like nipping the idea of Space Marines need hard men on a hard world in bud is a bit more important. Like I'm sure that feral world badasses and the like are better initial recruits but I just feel like that can be handled by better/longer training and not letting applicants die in the middle of trials.

In other words. "Yes, but you need more work on it"

The Ride never ends.

Good gravy, even hitting the 5 milestones for our Infrastructure feels like it'll be a sea change. Then again, I imagine even the Imperium doesn't manage Infrastructure 5s in general, huh? So much as they just sort of ignore it and somehow manage anyway.

Imperium has got a lot of bureaucratic inertia going for it rather than genuine efficiency. Plus the threat of your planet getting shot up by either the Guard or Astartes is usually a good enough incentive to keep everyone in line.

Also, just noticed we unlocked a new piece of equipment from the Libra! Which costs... Exactly the same DP we earned from designing it!

On the other hand, it's "Reduces the time to re-arm strike fighters by a third", which is stupidly good for it, so...

I'm also curious, are Psykana brought in from other polities that we integrated stuff that only their species can use? Or is it more "They bring novel ideas to the table and once it's codified anyone can do it?"

Out of curiosity, how many Kil'drabi Psykana do we have?
None. The Kil'drabi now have a grand total of 3 stable Psykers throughout their entire known history. Three of which were born after you encountered them.

Very much the latter, rather than the former.

Nice!

I kind of want to start dipping into some of their categories. Paths and Void seem Especially useful to us.

That aside, how does this compare to stuff like the usual Disciplines everyone uses? Are Disciplines functionally Song-equivalents? While the stuff past Songs are wide-scale Ritual stuff?

Disciplines are a set of powers united by common Theme. Melodies are psyker powers that can be molded slightly. Songs are rituals that can have planetary effects at terrible costs.

A Melody is equivalent to a single-purpose tool that can scale up. Flame I, for instance, can be used by a Choir to warm their surroundings if needed to a comfortable temperature, or send a jet of fire up to a kilometer away.
A Song is a powerful change of reality. Dirge for the Innocent allows a Choir to set the restless dead of a world to rest, purging it of death and misery and pain and hatred far quicker than time could.
