Looking at it, it will cost us 1 less Food, but we'll get 1 less Heavy Industry and 2 less Heavy Mechanized Units. So we would actually get less from backstabbing them from how things are looking.

Still more AP efficient, I just want to be certain what completing it will imply.

Since I'm inclined to do it anyway because I don't want to unleash a pirate crew that might get traced back to us, but if we do this and then they go "And now let's kill the Imperium!" We'll have Problems.

I'd also like to be sure what Betray the Betrayers actually entails
The first, and the people want to take revenge on the Imperium...by making one dope-ass planet. :V

How can the Lamenter's baby fleet contribute to the operation @HeroCooky ?
They bypass the Rokks shield by dropping in to board and nuke the ever-loving Warp out of its generators, shields, and anything worth nuking, leaving it open to an attack by you. As long as the Drilla-Kroozer doesn't throw a wrench in your attack...

I need to know how much spacelift the Lamenters can cover themselves too.
The Corcrat SDF has the equivalent of ~4 Medium Monitors, and the Lamenters can chuck their Squad and One Platoon at the Orks.
Also, Heavy Demo--useful in a boarding op or no?

Also, if we start with Betray the Betrayers, are we Fucked if we don't finish it the same turn or no?
Demolitions will work and be useful. Like all units will, as you are fighting in a multi-cube-kilometer volume of Ork Rok.

And BTB has no downside if only one Action is done this Turn, and the final one the next.

Oh going to need to update my plan if the Lamenters already have a ride. Hmm what to pick though another Choir or maybe engineers

Okay! Thank you for clarifying @HeroCooky !

Here is The Plan

[X] Plan: I have had enough of these damned Orks in my damned system!
-[X] [General] Stay The Course (4/7)
-[X] [General] Betray the Betrayers (0/2)
-[X] [Military] A Task For Specialists
--[X] Bring Down the Mega Rokk
--[X]
Medium Engineering Unit
--[X] Medium Assault Unit
--[X] Droman Tideswarm Heavy Demolition Unit
--[X] Celestial Choir
--[X] All Other Local and Allied Assets that can be spared and transported to the battlespace, including our Expeditionary Force

--[X] Chapter Master Khyron has overall command, he's the expert in this sort of assault, our folks will back him up as much as they can.

[X] Plan Rokks and Planning
-[X] [Military] Enacting The Plan (0/2)
-[X] [General] Stay The Course (4/7)
-[X] [Military] A Task For Specialists (Destroy the Mega Rok)
--[X] Task Fleet Alpha (6x Aries-Class Corvettes, 1x Sagittarius-Class Artillery Frigate, 1x Taurus-Class Troopship (0/4 Capacity))
--[X] (1/2) Droman Tideswarm Heavy Demolition Unit
--[X] (1/1) Lamenters Space Marine Squad
--[X] (1/2 Lamenters Space Marine Scout Platoon
--[X] (1/4) Celestial Choirs

This commits another AP next turn to getting Corcrat integrated, which also commits us to Medical Infrastructure to avoid getting too fucked there, but this should clear out our current docket, and if the Star-Child is willing, get us a bonus AP thanks to winning our first battle against an entrenched enemy.

The confirmation that Betray the Betrayers isn't actually going to commit us to doing Violence on the Imperium on the spot means it wins out, I think. Sun + Fire should also make our Psykana forces capable of some pretty hefty room-clearing abilities too.

Personally I feel a second heavy demo is better than a medium assault but it's not that big a deal

Logistics matters, and our logistics is still a bit bottlenecked, a Heavy Demo group to smash things open, an Engineering unit to hold ground, and an Assault Force to exploit is a good setup, and with the Choir committed to participate as well, they'll have magical support. Couple that with the Lamenters participating, and we should get good results.

Anyway, I feel Protection in that Song is a bit of a stretch. We'd want Justice I think as the connecting tissue in that event--but it should get us Holy Smite, which would be extremely useful.

This plan abandons staying the course fyi

mechanically as well it saves us 2 precious ap points and narratively does not throw a new faction with a frigate into the abaonded imperial terriotry to our right so it well worth it
Actually, it doesn't really in the long run since we'd be losing out on 1 Heavy Industry and 1 Civilian Infrastructure if we backstab them, which functionally makes it the same AP wise either way, except going through with their deal would give us 2 more Heavy Mechanized Units so the deal would be more efficient.

I'd give this plan a more distinctive name personally, it's easy to mix up. I'd propose
[X] Plan: Sing me a song of a Rokk that is gone
But I'll vote for it either way
[X] Plan: I have had enough of these damned Orks in my damned system! Burn them!
Something is going to go sideways on this assault and I'd much rather have some more literal firepower on hand when it does.

I repeat. Adding Protection in that feels Really Stretching it.

I can't see how that comes together, and going "Protection says it identifies what needs to be protected = Eye Lasers" feels like some insane troll logic unless I'm missing a step here.

Next turn we could do one each on Staying the Course, finishing Betraying the Betrayers, and Medical Infrastructure to keep it from going below Nulla?

That's my current plan, with fingers crossed that taking the Mega Rokk gives us a bonus AP for being our first Hard Target taken down. Gets the new planet integrated, keeps our Medical Infrastructure from getting more strained than it is, and in the same move it neutralizes our Civilian Infrastructure and gets us another point of Void Infrastructure.

Suggestion taken.

Protection includes knowing "when to strike, when to advanced, when to force yourself forward".
I Interpret that as striking at the danger fitting under protection. Plus the choir would be with troops it protects by burning the fuckers down.
To guard is to know when to yield, when to fold, when to give way, for the unyielding bow before the unstoppable.
To protect is to know when to strike, when to advance, when to force yourself forwards, for the unstoppable bow before the unyielding.

...

That's still a Tremendous stretch.

@HeroCooky , could we get a vibe check on this by any chance? Because this really feels like a stretch to me.

I feel like this song is more going to have fire protect and buff (cause sun) our dudes rather than it attacking maybe even if our on fire guys hug the greenskins.
