[X] Deal. We'll buy all the copper you have.

ya know, one part of me wants that crazy cackling sales-man to be part of our crew to hustle souls out of chaos...or better yet mess with the imperium more.

090.M42 - Discordantes Exterminare
The after-effects of the Star-Born being healed by a Miracle and then being defended by another had not settled after a mere few years, with talks about what this meant bouncing between those working within the void far from the station to those whose gene-lineages had never seen the outside for generations, each and every person debating and arguing what the Star-Born represented and what they meant.

Were they saints as the Imperials understood them? Were they chosen like Teel, Prophet of the Star Child, to spread its glory and message? Perhaps they were meant to be wise administrators to lead the faithful and their labors in full for the betterment of the galaxy. Or, possibly, the Star-Born had been given a new life and defended from a horror beyond the Materium by the Star-Child and its most faithful because it was the right thing to do?

Regardless of what it meant, and the discussions raging around the topic, the five Star-Born had slowly been acclimatized to living with hands and human heads, no longer scarfing down their meals by pushing their faces into their food by instinct, and no longer walking around without any kind of clothing, be it respirators or thermal protections, within those sections they had been allowed to roam without direct supervision. The latter was a sticking point, as the Lamenter Trainees and Neophytes had been assigned to watch over the Star-Born after a very tense "debate" with Chapter Master Chyron had seen him back down from killing them at once to remove a possible Warp Plot from unfolding.

He had not budged from letting them roam free away from sections where multiple heavy weapon teams could converge and hold them in place to allow the Lamenters and Choir to kill them should they start furthering the goals of Chaos. Chapter Master Chyron had also made it clear that if the Candle Keepers wished to avoid immediate hostile conflict with the Imperium, they'd better keep the Star-Born as a mere tale outside their greatest strongholds. Because if the Imperium called upon him to kill them, he would have no choice but to comply with orders from Terra.

But that was fine, and prudent, as even the Choir wasn't entirely convinced they managed to protect the Star-Born fully, and they themselves agreed with confused fear within their new voices that foresight was better than hindsight. And any changes in their souls should be caught quickly, and hopefully corrected just as fast, as was their, and the Choir's, hope.

Yet, Thule-Omicron 55's hope was that, due to Lord High Admiral Shiru of House Schischi of the United Fleets of Droma III's warning, the Council of the Candle Keepers would set an immediate, thorough, and consistent program of kickstarting their void industry into motion. They needed at least a tripling of their current capabilities to be able to construct Destroyer-tonnage vessels capable of traveling the Warp and being able to deploy and maintain a single Frigate. And if that would not occur way before the Orks came knocking...well.

Having been notified by the man of the danger lurking just a single system away, the Council had been called to attend an emergency session to be briefed and informed about the Xenos known as "Orks." After testimonies from Chapter Master Chyron, further information from Lord High Admiral Shiru, old premonitions shared by Teeln, Prophet of the Star Child, and knowledge dug from the ancient cogitators of the station; an order was given to enact "Discordantes Exterminare" upon the Xeno Species known as "Orks" and all its sub-variants as long as they continued to exist.

They were incompatible with the truth and the vision to be made and thus had to be altered until they could join or be removed entirely. Humanity had made the mistake of allowing the discordant horrors of the galaxy to live within sanctuaries once, and it would not do so again, as decreed by Teeln, Prophet of the Star Child.

Now, unto more pleasant news, both in regards to matters of faith and trade, as nearly half of Droma III had been converted by the titanic efforts of our preachers and the circumstances of the planet that had allowed us to leverage all the goodwill we had gained politically and from the population to our advantage. Even the daughter of the High Lord had been converted, along with most of the crew of the new monitors setting out on their shake-down cruises in service of the reinstated SDF. If our information is correct, she will be trained as the new Admiral in charge of the system's space defense and all naval assets therein.

As for trade, Lord High Admiral Shiru has indicated an increased interest in purchasing arms and armaments alongside other equipment for the PDF to meet the Green Tide on a better footing than what his planet can produce natively. Such a trade would allow us to accumulate an agreeable reserve of Imperial currency and convert more of the population. Still, it would effectively halt any expansion of our non-naval forces until we expand our military industry. A choice not to be made without consideration.

You Have 3 [Three] Actions. You have 1 [One] Extra Action this Turn, thanks to converting 50% of your first Imperial Planet.
[] Trading With Imperials

Weapons, Armor, Munitions, and Equipment from one to the other, IOUs, Currencies, Valuables, and Information from the other to one.
(Cost: Blocks any expansion of your Military at the current level.
Gain: Droma III is much better prepared to resist any Orks that make planetfall. You gain Imperial currencies.)

[] [General] Construct Something
-[] Food Production II
-[] Civilian Infrastructure
-[] Heavy Industry II
-[] Void Industry II
-[] Medical Services
-[] Military Industry II

With much of the station freed up, we can begin filling the empty parts again with industry and things we need, from clinics to starch vats feeding us in the void.
(Gain: A district focusing on the chosen option.)

[] [Military] Raise A Specialised [Light/Medium] Infantry Unit - [Choose: Sabotage/Assault/Engineering/Demolition/Ogryn]
With a chosen direction, your Military can now focus on giving the Units you will raise the proper training for the right job. Sabotage Units will focus on raiding and disrupting the enemy with lighting raids and plundering logistics; Assault Units will punch through the enemy in weak points and sow confusion with overwhelming firepower; Engineering Units will focus on creating fortifications and using turrets, mines, and barricades; Demolition Units will be comprised out of heavy weaponry squads with plenty of explosives, from mines to rockets; and Ogryn Units will be Ogryns armored in heavy metals and armed with shields and Beatin' Sticks led by men and women with spiffy hats that will not be disobeyed. Light Units are better for Low-Logistic scenarios, while Medium Units rely more on regular shipments yet strike a good balance between supply consumption and effectiveness.
(Gain: A chosen Specialised Light/Medium Infantry Unit.)

[] [Military] A Task For Specialists (Assign Unit/s)
-[] Medium Engineering Unit
-[] Medium Assault Unit

There is war to be had and battle to be made. Send troops to resolve issues and squash opposition to the Star Child and Humanity and all His Protectorates.
(Gain: Military dispatched to put down opposition violently.
Note: For use outside your territory or in support of forces specified within another Action.)

[] [Psykana] Conduct a Melody (Choose one below.)
The Celestial Choir has been given the means; with time, they shall conduct their songs. They will listen to the Warp and filter out the false whispers from the slumbering guidance of the Star Child. In halting prayer and stumbling humming, the truth will be stripped until nothing but it remains in the hands of those who shall make it anew into power to be wielded by the Choirs to come.
(Secret: Slumber, Silence, and Perception.
Star Child: Hope, Compassion, Humanity, Song, Mercy, Creativity, Health, Unity, Innovation, Machinery, Logic, Progress, Protection II, Justice, Wisdom, The Sun, The Home, Death, Ruthlessness, Brutality, and Fire.
Kil'drabi: Paths, The Void, Struggle, Community, and Family.
Gain: A Melody newly Conducted.)

[] [Psykana] Sing a Song (Choose at least Three below.)
Mere Melodies are not the end of the journey, nor should they be the start. They are the middle, from which all things shall grow and wither.
(Available: Protection I
Gain: A Song.)

[] [Faith] Of Saints and Sinners, Miracles and Purposes
The rescue and mending of the Souls of the Star-Born from the predations of the Immaterium and their Maker's malicious hands cannot be called anything other than a Miracle. Yet, what does it make of them? Saints? Or sinners rescued? Have they been endowed with a purpose? Or are they merely saved by the grace of the Star Child being able to save them? What does it mean, and, more importantly, what does the Droma Creed say it means?
(Gain: Nail down the Saint and Miracle aspects of the Cult of the Star Child.)

[] [Faith] Souls Artificial and Minds Constructed
With five of the Psykana Experiments revealed to be not ravening monsters that wish to kill all soul-bearing life to devour, but wounded, terrified, and faithful beings seeking aid from the only source of comfort they had ever gained (the Star Child), questions have come up from various corners. Did they have souls? They should; the Celestial Choir said they felt a Song of Mercy sung by the Five-One for their wounds and minds. And yet, what nature does a soul constructed by malevolent monsters into crafted flesh-psykana automata take?
(Gain: Nail down the soul-doctrine aspects of the Cult of the Star Child.)

[] [Faith] Preach To We Who Yet Wander
Having been brought under the gentle embrace of the Star Child and giving tribute to those who fight in its name for a better galaxy, the Kil'drabi represent the first among many Xeno species we shall show an existence beyond fighting for only themselves. Already culturally compatible with the ideals and tenets of the Star Child, focusing on community and cohesion against the dangers of the void and long travels, bringing them fully into the fold would be a boon for all. However, that will likely happen naturally over a century or two, just not as thoroughly as some may like, thanks to their small numbers and frequent contact with us.
(Gain: The Kil'drabi are slowly converted to the Cult of the Star Child and given more resistance to the predations of Chaos.)

[] [Faith] Preach to Droma III - Electric Boogaloo: Supreme Edition
Same verse as the second, now to get the third up and running!
(Gain: Deeper entrenchment of the Droman Creed within Droman III society.)

[] [Faith] Preach to Droma VII
The people of this desert and savannah world pray to the guise of the God-Emperor known to them as the "Gulden Lord," a figure that rules by wealth, influence, and trade rather than force, might, and his inexhaustible armies. For the people here, wealth is synonymous with piety, to the point that their preachers are merchants, one and all, and the wealthiest person rules this semi-theocratic semi-plutocratic government. Yet, they cannot go into space and have been delegated by Imperial authorities to pay their tithes in mineral wealth and provide their children for the "Gulden Lord's" armies. Converting them would be more complicated than Droma III, but we will have the time to do so once Droma III is ours.
(Gain: Start converting the people of Droma VII to the Droman Creed.)

[] [Chapter] Another Start Anew (1/2)
After the battles on Droma III, Chapter Master Chyron has deemed the current Neophytes of the Chapter as trained enough to take some of his duties, particularly in training another batch of Neophytes that will be selected and then trained until they meet the absolute minimum standard of the Lamenters to be classed as Scouts. It should only take some thirty years if done without aid by the Candle Keepers.
(Gain: The Lamenters gain another 40 Neophytes.)

[] [Other] Take Care Of [Future Or Current Problems]
(Write-In the problem being addressed.)
(Gain: Turn to address the issue.)

Definitely this, and I do think we honestly kinda do need to get Civilian Industry up and running, maybe also doing the trading, though that will slow any military re-upping for the moment.

But it might be necessary.

Oh thank god we got another AP,

But it's earmarked for Void Industry since we need it to at least 3 I guess if we're going to actually contest them in space, ahhhh

Rather do medical services to help the choir recover from all the injuries they got, plus it is a whole QoL improvment for everyone and having better medical services will prob help with preperation for war

edit: hmm there is a arugment for doing the conversion action again to keep the momunteum going and potenitally getting another extra ap thought it be a gamble to see if we get it again

[X] Plan: Readiness Is All
-[X] Void Industry II
-[X] Medical Services
-[X] [Chapter] Another Start Anew (1/2)
-[X] [Psykana] Conduct a Melody (Choose one below.)--Fire

Fire seems militarily useful and it's another one of the "needs" for eventually replicating Navigators.

[X] Plan: Readiness Is All

HeroCooky why is the exploration action for the high energy desert planet gone?

Copy and Posted the wrong Action list. The correct, and updated, one is now displayed. You may need to re-fresh the page to view it.

For this Turn. The next one will have you back at 3.
'Cause you did it last turn. That got you copper and no slow-down of your industry.

Uh, wasn't last turn the one where we were playing damage control, but our industry would have been fine as long as we did it this turn? Or did buying Ea-Nasir's shitty copper effectively sort that out?

You would have been officially warned within the narrative portion of this update that you needed to get copper now or face slow-downs in your industry. Getting copper last turn made that a moot point, as you got supply before demand ever rose beyond what you had left in your inventory.

Ah, right then, good to know.

So next turn we should prob do void industry, military industry and then unless something comes up(ihighly unlikely) civilian industry?

Yeah, I think...

Void Industry, Neophytes, Preach, and then we go with Medical or Civilian I think. Trading we can put off until next turn because we still need to get Preach sorted out.

The Orks aren't showing up this turn after all, we've got some time yet. We've disarmed the most obvious immediate threat, so we can use this wiggle room without an imminent crisis to hopefully get ahead of our current crisis.

Plus, more civilian stuff = more trade goods.

Actually no, in this case, I want to get the Kil'drabi like I promised last turn. The Lord of Change isn't doing shit for the forseeable future, so we can probably afford to slow roll this a bit now, since there won't be a Greater Daemon actively stirring the pot. So it's time to reach for Stretch Goals.
