Do we really want Broken Seeker to be able to block agg attacks?
He's old divine spirit of torture, I'd be surprised if he couldn't already actively defend against Agg.
The more dangerous part here is related to how exploitable the blood collection bit is. The guy is at minimum very fond of curses from what we saw of his minion setup.
If the bracers only apply to strikes made with the limbs they're on its a fairly minor problem, but if any attack made with his body instead of a weapon gets a free blood draw attempt as long as it does damage its a more significant expansion in his ability.
Most likely not a problem for us though, trying to steal from an infernal's body sounds like something our shaping defense should block. I can see space to split hairs either way on this, but considering what we paid for it I think fuzzy cases should mostly go our way.
I thought you said Chicago was normal magic wise when I made that comment comparing it to Gotham? It can't be both.
Not sure what Uju32 said on this, but Chicago is sort of a weird spot.
It has an absurd number of Ways because it's a transportation hub among other factors, which is part of what motivates factions like the White Court* to park their leadership there.
It's also the place that the original Merlin decided to build his atemporal super prison for eldritch gods. It's definitely got things going for it.
The only place I can see some fuzziness on with this is if you're talking about it in comparison to other major cities. We hear a lot about what makes Chicago special, but not a lot of time in other major places.
Wether mortals are drawn to special places, make them so with their presence, or some mix of the two I don't think any major city is boring on this level.
It's possible Chicago is simultaneously average for a metropolitan area with a population hovering near ten million people**, but still hilariously magical compared to most everywhere outside of that category.
* Reminder that the white court is a major power. They hold the US, Canada, and most of Europe against groups like the reds. There's more cohabitation than modern nations tolerate on the same ground, but they haven't kept their niche because the red court and fomor aren't interested in taking it.
** With Gotham mapping to places that have more history or something going for them. Cities like Shanghai or Istanbul, which are larger and much older.
We haven't hit essence renewal in this scene as far as I remember, so this should be essence positive.
The god blood secret got us essence, and our buffs are still up so it's the same scene.
