Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

The Raith family always makes my skin crawl when I think about it even vaguely.

I suppose it's good Molly peered through all performance and got to to the truth of things, even if it meant being aware of terrible things.

A discount on the Sight is very nice, one of the very impressive tools available to Wizardry.

As the white king continues with his speech, Molly began to draw on her newly deepened well of power. The essence running the her body, mind, and soul almost felt like waking up; as the world opened up before her eyes and her mind warded itself in the primacy of her soul for a moment Molly couldn't think of a time she'd felt more alive. Watching the crowd, and Madrigal in particular, with her awakening senses she sees as much as hears the climax of the speech. First the shock, then the fear and anger, followed by resolve.
Third person suddenly?

[X] Start empowering yourself now (you obtain the pre-battle buffs on turn 0 as planned; but you might seem like you are eager to fight due to the obvious transformation and dent some of the justification Lara is looking for)

Time to start and Madrigal has the honor of being the first body to hit the floor.

[] Wait for him to actually make the lunge before you start to glow

[] Use Mind Hand Manipulation to stop him mid-air you do not like how quickly he made the choice, he seems more steeled than despairing
This is a delicate political moment, so I'd favor delaying part of the buffs in exchange for nailing the shift in power.

Grab him mid air and use our buffed up rolls to strangle him to death from a position where he has no physical leverage. Madrigal is no great sorcerer, his only other option is mind magic that we're currently immune to. Taking his feet off the ground makes him nearly helpless.

that was Molly's native sight starting to stir since you rolled nonsense for that Chakra vision on a very important target, To be clear it is not just having 15 successes, it is having 15 successes where it matters.
Is this a case of something in Molly's human soul re-emerging, or some sort of charm inspired by it being formed as potential in her exaltation?

The primary difference I can see is if our Sight would get charm tier It Just Works backing or if it'd depend on whatever mechanic makes it so bullshit for wizards. Also, does it come with soul gazing or is that a separate thing? For standard wizards I think they're linked powers but I can see the mechanical rationale for separating them.

Aside from the Outsider clean up, this is all political mind game. So let's play politics and get Lara to owe Molly some major points.

The powerless white king presumably.

He isn't actually powerless in a material sense. He's got a large stockpile of power and a few unique ace in the hole powers that still work. Constantine is just not in charge anymore.

Madrigal is crazy, unless he's got some bullshit trick up his sleeve from the Outsiders or something Constantine will tear him in half without even blinking.

Should we also move him further away? Possibly up into the air where he'll take falling damage it he breaks grapple.

If we're feeling impatient we could drag him to us and murder him with Usum instead of waiting.

If we count that as the first turn of combat we should be able to get everything other than steel skin this round.

Can MHM be used to do Scanners-style headsplosions?

Nah, in exchange for being allowed to use MHM with our melee-skill, it's not invisible.

In terms of damage though, headsploding someone would take a lot of successes, but isn't in principle impossible.
Edit: To be clear, MHM deals bashing damage.

The average person has 7 health levels. To kill someone with bashing, rather than knock out, you need to fill his health levels twice.
14+ damage is unlikely in our current setup, I think.

Molly's human soul never went anything, it is a case of rolling so well for the charm that you stumbled into other forms of enhanced perception. It is not a charm no, the Slight is opening your soul and taking in the universe. That is about all Molly knows without experiencing it

-[x][stunt] Madrigal cry of protest is cut off by you apply pressure on his windpipe. "I did not give you permission to speak.". Madrigal gasps for air "I did not give you permission to breathe" as you stop those gasps as well.

It does when he protests. Which he will he strikes me as the sort of whiner that complain when they are thwarted.

The vote literally say *grab him midair* the stunt doesn't work with that at all. Besides:

"Uncle please..." Madrigal starts. "What is this, would you really side against your own flesh and blood, against your own people to keep a hateful peace with those you know despise us?"

He already complained, you are too late for that one. He is already about to lunge, the talk is a distraction.

This guy is on our list right? Are we strong enough to tear all his limbs off(head included) while he's midair with Mind Hand alone? That would def send a message.

offhand if we get the sight since it canonically can just be kept on forever without fuel needed. Since it gives memorization can we use it on mundane things to just gain mundane skills more easily by just memorizing books and such? I know this is cheese so probably not also I know we need to spend essence on our mind stuff to not go insane seeing too much. But, I know this is an actually useful application of the sight.
